First off i know this patch has taken longer than most and it is still ongoing but we have almost successfully moved to unity 5 now.
Also crafting is back as is tree chopping and mining , we have also added more variety of food goods and drinks to be found in game
Hunger and thirst was going to be removed but i have decided to leave it in place.
New weapons have also been added and a new day/night cycle as well as the new starting level and woodlands/wastelands map you already know about.
Anyone fancy catching fish? .......Now you can! (this is early testing atm) but thought we would leave it in for you to play with.
new inventory/crafting look (more in-keeping with the game) new quests and just general chit chat to be had with NPC'S
ETA i ask you scream!.....Not sure still want to nail this bad-boy! .....If you twisted my arm i would say 4/5th of April

Hello Afters,
We have decided to take the plunge and move 10YA over to Unity 5 this will of course take some time , there is no ETA on 0.0.9 yet as we don't know how long this might take to upgrade the systems etc.
So far it is going well and i will be uploading some new screenshots of the wastelands and new woodlands areas to give you a taste of what is to come 0.0.9.

0.0.9 Update Details
0.0.9 is coming along we have new quests new starting area new inventory system new starting level and new woodlands and wastelands area.
As you are aware 0.0.9 is due on the 19th at this moment in time it looks like it will get delayed again as there are some issues that have come up while testing that i would like to fix before release some are minor things others and more of a concern although they would not stop you playing 10YA they would annoy you as they have done me!
I have decided to take a more vigorous approach to testing in 0.0.9 to try to pin point any major flaws in the build before release.
with this in mind 0.0.9 should be with you soon but will not make the 19th release date.

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ
Ok i feel the need to write this announcement due to the mixed reviews we are getting on 10YA so here goes...
1st this game is being developed by 1 guy (me) i deal with everything from the social aspects like steam/Facebook/twitter and the website as well as emails etc
2nd there seems to be some problem with people quitting out of the game there are 2 menu's ESC for quest log/save/load and "P" for graphics/quit etc
3rd the whole idea of 10YA seems to be getting lost somewhere , the idea is you are NOT buying a completed game but what you are buying is the ability to be able to help support the game and the development not just by bug reports but with game suggestions/quest ideas anything you think would be good to have in the game 10YA is about building a game together.
4th As most of you are aware i am very open about the state of 10YA and if i can help in anyway you only need to ask.
Due to all these facts i have decided to scale down 10YA slightly to focus on certain things at a time, with this in mind i am going to remove the hunger/thirst system for now and focus on the games layout and quests.
Once we have this nailed down we will then add back into the game crafting and the hunger/thirst and then expand from there.
This also means i can focus on one thing at a time and not be flipping from one problem to another and we can keep the updates coming weekly/fortnightly.
I would also like you guys and girls to comment below about the price of 10YA
As i thought it was about right for the state of the game, what do you think as a community would be a good price?
Just keep in mind the game needs to make some money to help the development.

Next Patch Update
Hello all,
First off i want to say the new woodlands map is complete with new quests and crafting is back! also the day/night cycle is back too.
We also have a Map no more silly yellow writing on the screen.
The new starting level is complete too :-)
Now for the bad news, ..............We have not started on the new wastelands area yet and because some of the quests refer to this area we are going to have to do the 10YA unthinkable and postpone the patch until the 19th :-(
Sorry Guys and Girls, but i am sure you would rather a few more days wait to us pushing out an unfinished patch.

As we wait for the new re-vamped first level i have produced a guide to help out anyone who can not get outside or find the key i hope this helps
The next patch will with any luck be out next weekend the 14th and will look to continue where 0.0.8 left off adding in new characters and quests lock picking and fire that spreads!
It will also continue to add new audio to the game, and we are working on better AI and factions will come into play these two might make the next patch if not they will make 0.1.0
There maybe a small 0.0.8a patch in the mean time to address some issues raised in the forum we will as always keep you informed.
