0.0.7 Released
Ok so first off let me say that some "fool"...Me! decided to back up the game files last night i accidently updated the wrong files and overwritten the 0.0.7 patch with 0.0.6a there for losing 0.0.7!....
I have been up all night trying to rebuild 0.0.7 and although some things are missing expect a 0.0.7a patch to follow soon the main 0.0.7 features have been implemented into the patch (did not want to let you down)....
I would recommend starting a new game as this patch will break your save!
Also one bug i do know is when you open inventory drag it to the right or the options for use etc will be off the screen you only need to do this once on each level
Here are the patch notes:

Hello Afters,
Update on 0.0.7 and things are going well we are just testing stuff out before we start adding all that lovely loot!
Crafting has been removed from 0.0.7 as we need to re-work that so expect it back in 0.0.7a or 0.0.8 to compensate for this there will be plenty of loot to be found in the new "Oak Hill City" and the new "Wenlock Prior Town" as well as everywhere else.
Loading screens have been implemented and we have removed the story from the start so no more "space to skip"
also the inventory now remembers what you had when you load a save game! ...Which helps!
Textures have been made high res as well as more foliage like grass and plants etc
Roads have also been put in with signs cars etc on the main map
Friendly NPC'S now have some life to them too (which we know has been requested) and the VA'S are re-recording there lines although they might not make this patch coming.
lots more has been added to and will send out a updated patch notes closer to the release which is still on course for this weekend.

Update On Alpha 0.0.7
Well as you are aware we are working mostly on the outside areas including the city and the town things are going well a few problems have come about but we are mostly on course for the update coming out this weekend coming!...
What i can confirm is that 10YA is being completely re-worked from the start of the game to the outside area and during some initial tests we are getting a solid 60FPS in the new outside area!
Also as a way to achieve the fps and up the graphics a notch we have separated the towns from the woodlands.
So now you will find and follow a few roads (where you will find infected who have made there way out of the town/city) until you get asked if you would like to enter the city/town.
You are still free to wander about and come and go as you please between the town/city and the woodlands areas.
During testing this way and dynamic loading it as you walk around we found this way we were able to really up the graphics and keep a nice steady fps rate.
This has also let us drastically increase the size of the city and the town and let us add more grasses and better trees and textures on the woodlands area.
You will also now still start in the flats but you will escape to an outside area where you will have to make your way through the streets and enter the hospital ...the rest we shall keep secret :-)
As i have already said we hope to have this out for 14th/15th of this month as long as things go well,
Depending on the feedback of 0.0.7 we shall then start addressing some of the smaller things for a 0.0.7a patch and then hopefully we can start adding in some cool stuff for 0.0.8

A quick update
Hello Afters,
We started work on the new outside area yesterday and can now confirm that the map will now load around you as you move around which helps with a lot of the issues brought up with FPS drops etc,
Lots more to do yet as we now need to start to populate the map with towns quests and all the other stuff you can find on the old map.
If things go well you can expect the new update around this time next week but don't hold me to that!
Also today we might be a bit quite on the steam page and in the forums/Facebook/twitter as i am out of the office today but i will try to reply to any comments this evening or if i can get near a computer during the day.
Many Thanks

A Message From TenTreeGames
Hi Guys and Girls first off we would like to say thank you to everyone who has brought 10YA and for all the feedback good and bad.
The reason for this message is to try and help you and potential new players understand the vision for 10YA where we would like to be and where we are now.
First off : There seems to be some confusion as to what type of game 10YA is and wants to become .....We see 10YA as more of a "Fallout" type game than a "Dayz/Rust" type game although we do wish too add in some features that are similar to what these games already have to offer.
Next where we are now: Buggy is the best answer more so in the outside area than indoors due to this we are re-making the whole of the outside area which will include re-making all of Oak Hill City/Wenlock Prior etc ....The new 0.0.6a patch that went live today addresses some of the smaller complaints and the confusing main menu!
Once we have the major bugs addressed like FPS etc we will then start adding in more content like quests and weapons food items and user suggestions.
Talking of user suggestions-
Our aim for 10YA is for you "Afters" to help us build the game by testing and reporting back bugs and any ideas you would like to see in-game or what you would like to see taken out of the game we will go with the majority on any ideas and do our best to put them in-game or remove/fix them.
Also a small bit about TenTreeGames as you know we are a new kid on the block! but we are dedicated to 10YA and our community some of you may be scared we are putting this game out to make a quick buck and never update it ever again, I can assure you this is not the case and i am sure Desura users would agree we update regularly and the only time there was a delay in updating was over the Christmas period .
We hope this helps you to understand what we want 10YA to become where it is now and how important you "Afters" are to us we really do want you to help us make this game become great and you all can have a big say in that.

Today's Patch 0.0.6a
Patch 0.0.6a may break your last save
Bugs Fixed:
- Clipping zombies (Dev has confirmed next update hopefully) ///// Adjusted "infected" collider animations and attack/listen distance to help combat this issue working on better AI to completely fix this
- Zombies are hard as nails! (dev to test and rethink health of zeds)///// "infected" Health Now Reduced
- The camp-fire is lit by Leon but flame is switched off by accident, next build ;)///// "Fires are now Lit"
- All of the sheds by Alexis Ridge have no clipping.///// Sheds Now Fixed
- Woodside doesn't exist in the game, the marker is from an old build. ///// Woodside is in Build
- Thirst/ hunger go down too fast and aren't replenished enough by certain items.///// Hunger/Thirst Adjusted may need more depending on feedback
- Crafting costs too many materials.///// Reduced Crafting Cost on some items
- Day/ Night cycle is very short.///// Extended day/night Cycle possible more depending on feedback
-Removed Confusing Main Menu ///// Replaced with Basic Menu for now PLEASE NOTE: you can not adjust graphics or volume etc you can still use "P" in game to drop or raise graphic settings
- Fall damage takes an ok amount of health, but maybe shouldn't kick in for lower heights. ///// Fall Damage slightly adjusted
- I would recommend the amount hostile bandits taunt/ threaten you be lowered. (Risks becoming a broken record (Ofc will help when there's more taunts/ threats!)). ///// removed for now
- There is an invisible wall between Alexis house and the powerline next to it (By the shed). ///// Removed powerline as believe this was causing this invisible wall
- Added Better "Space to Skip" information
- "L" now turns flash-light on/off also you now don't lose it and will always have your flash-light
Next Patch will address outside Area and Head shots This will Fix These Issues
-Known fps drop when 'leaning' (Q/E or LB/ RB (Xbox controller) - Otherwise controller support In its current partial state works fine and will be updated to include inventory and communicate with npc.
- Distant Terrain/ LOD could do with improving.
- WHEN OUTSIDE FOR NOW, PLEASE LOWER GRAPHICAL SETTINGS ON LOWER RIGS - The game currently loads the whole outdoor terrain map including city at once, of course this is temporary. I have i7-3770k, 16GB RAM & GTX 970 MSI OC and get between 30-60 (Dipping very low at times). THIS CAN LEAD TO A GREEN SCREEN CRASH.
- Separate hitboxes for zombies heads are needed, as currently taking many headhits to kill
Update On First Patch
Just a quick update to let you know we will be starting work on the first Steam patch on Monday, We will be working through the list on the "Bugs and Stuff" thread in the forum so if you can think of anything please just add it to that thread.
We hope to have this live for Friday it may come in two patches one to fix all the smaller items and another to try and nail down the FPS drops when outside...We may have to remake the outside into smaller parts that load around you as you go if this is the case then this will take a bit longer to push out due to all the work involved but we will see :-)
Also just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has brought the game on Steam and also its nice to see so many Desura users getting in-touch
