Featured blog post on Gamasutra about balancing '1993'.
We just wanted to clarify the workings of the smaller ships available in the game shop.
Yes they behave all the same and purely look different.
This is because they were mainly made for local co-op mode to distinguish each player from one another.
However, we thought it would be a shame not to offer the option to choose which one you prefer even in single player.
The class II ships though, they do behave differently from each other.
We have realized that this has caused some confusion and apparently failed in communicating this clearly in the game.
Weapon Guide - for a Pilots convenience
A few of my most valued pilots have asked for a more comprehensive weapons description, and since I care deeply about my hardware business and making my father proud, I'm making this available to all of you here:
After discussion, consideration and listening to player feedback we have decided to lower the price of 1993 Space Machine. We misjudged the initial pricing and we are all new to Steam and felt a bit green for the launch.
We could not ignore this any longer as a lot of the player feedback has been very positive but we saw a trend where it boiled down to negative due to the asking price we initially had.
So what's the future of 1993 Space Machine? Well we loved making this game and will continue to support it by fixing bugs, but also by adding new content. Next on the list is Linux support. We also have plans to add more content such as new levels and the like once we have crossed some important bug fixes from the list.
