Dev Diary 2

This week we worked on the mundain task of creating the first pass version of the main menu , character creation, and ship selection.



Here we have the main menu work in progress. This is a first pass but it shows how we intend for all of the game to feel like its part of the world. So no giant menu in non - world settings here. Of couse this will be iterated over but our goal at this point is to get a playable slice so we can make nice gameplay videos and screen shots.



Here you can see some work that has been done on the character model selector. Here you will be able to select your space suit style and which skin you want. And yes we plan to have full body characters. We also have a ship selector for the dogfight and free flight modes which allows selecting your ship and customizing its colors.



This week we don't have a planet tech demo, scenes of dogfights, or cool special effects to show off, but we will get there soon. We did port over the galaxy and procedural planet tech from an earlier game we made. This will serve as work in progress until a more advanced tech can be made.

All in all a productive week. We look forward to showing you some gameplay soon.

Developer Diary 1

So development is in full swing and much progress has been made. We have imported all the models for the fighters you will be able to fly.



The first of the cockpits have been put together and we have begun to tie together the space flight simulation with the cockpit systems.



We have also set about being able to destroy them as well.
