Massive patch! Better hard modes! Speedrunning leaderboards!
You heard it here first, folks! A Walk Along the Wall, as of right now, has been blessed (or cursed) with the following changes:
- Overhauled harder difficulty modes (you should try them! They're pretty fun! And actually possible!)
- Added Easy(ier) mode
- Tweaked lives to only be relevant on Very Hard (Doomed) difficulty
- Fixed poems of earlier stages still being played if sent back on harder difficulty
- Added run length tracker (and a best record) for each difficulty
- Added global speedrunning leaderboards!!!
- Tweaked colour of analog timer
- Removed stock Unity launcher
- Added ingame resolution picker
- Added ingame quality preset picker
- Fixed Player only rotating (when using KB/M) diagonally
- Fixed controller not working in titlescreen menu
- Added ability to skip poems at beginning of next stage
- Fixed certain English phrases not behaving correctly
- Tweaked dodging to now take place over multiple frames
- Tweaked dodging to now incur invincibility for a small timeframe afterwards
- Fixed teleport & dodge (on controller) cancelling eachother out
- Added PS4 controller support (check controls menu)
- Fixed fight timer still decreasing while soft-paused
- Tweaked boss healthbar to now turn transparent when player is behind it
- Fixed second boss miscalculating total health
- Fixed third boss teleporting on top of player
- Fixed fourth boss being hurt during player death animation
- Improved red warning-lasers to now indicate turning direction
- Fixed some of fourth boss' actions not being synced to music
- Optimized final boss
- Added player hurt sfx
