Update Early Access 1.0.4

Hello everyone, the new update for Abducted: The Night hunters is finally here!
It took a while but i hope that this update opens the gates for more gameplay elements to come.

To resume, i have been working really hard on the grays AI, made some changes on their core behaviors and the main AI behind the game that controls the flow of the game during the night, also you can barricade doors now.

New Stuff:

  • The grays have a new 3d model now, with a better texture, better specular and all that stuff that makes a 3d model material looks better.
  • The grays AI have been modified quite a bit, they can interact with doors and windows now.
  • You can barricade doors now, you need to find a hammer and some wooden planks to do so (Just equip a hammer and carry some planks on your inventory, then get close to a door and start hammering).
  • The Grays can punch you now, watchout!
  • Added a little of film grain and chromatic post processing effects.
  • Added specular reflections to some texture's materials.


Gameplay changes:

  • On Free roam mode the game's difficulty will increase based on how many nights you have survived ( First night is pretty easy overall, the amount of UFO's and grays will increase as you survive more nights).
  • Survival stats (Hungers and thirst) will decrease a bit faster on free roam mode now.
  • Run speed has been decreased a bit for both gamemodes.
  • Reduced the spawn chances of several items on various areas in the entire game world (After fixing the invisible items bugs, i had to because there was too many items everywhere).
  • The spawn ratio for items will be reduced based on how many nights you have survived (but not too much).
  • When abducted by a Gray the game wont end inmmediately, now you have a chance to fight for your life. prepare to smash some keys!


Mayor Fixes:

  • Fixed a big bug that turned every item invisible after the respawn process started at dawn (If you experienced a lack of items during your gameplay, this was the cause for sure).
  • Fixed a glitch that made items dissappear from your inventory or storage when moving items while being out of free space on the destination.
  • Fixed some spots on the corn field where UFO's could spot you when they weren't supposed to.
  • Fixed a problem on the blobs damage calculation that made them kill you really slow when being touched.
  • Fixed a bug that allow the grays to see you when hidding on tents, the only way they can spot you now is by looking throught the tents entrance.



Minor Fixes:

  • - Fixed some keys not displaying the correct text when moving items on the trunk.
  • - Fixed some props that had no collision.
  • - Fixed some bugs related to some ingame hints not dissapearing when resuming the game.
  • - Fixed a bug that allowed UFO's to abduct you when hiding on the farmhouse's basement.


That's all that i can remember but im sure there are a lot more minor fixes that were made.

Next objectives for development are:

-New UFO's this includes new models, textures, gameplay elements.
-New blobs this includes new models, textures, animations, gameplay elements.
-Reworked areas, i want to add a visitors center for the park area, and more details in the azure lake area.
-More ingame files to add more lore into the game
-More ingame audiologs to add even more lore into the game.
-Got to add an important gameplay element on the transmission tower, more info as dev goes!.

Update Early Access 1.0.3

Gameplay changes:
DOORS CAN BE CLOSED NOW, sadly that wont stop aliens from getting in (I think), feel free to try to glitch the doors, to check if they are working allright!

New Stuff:
Added some new examination points (Where you can read the toughts of your character)
Added a new game file related to the mascot of the park (You can find it in one of the Watchtowers).
Added more item spawns, and increased the spawn chance of them in some areas.
You can now sleep on the beds with blue blankets, that are found in the areas of Palmer and Bennings Farmouse.

Mayor Fixes:
Survival scoreboard now displays the players position in rank correctly.
Fixed an respawn issue in one of the motorhomes where the player can get stuck.
Fixed and issue where the vehicles from survival mode would load in the position of the free roam saved game counterpart.

Minor Fixes:
Fixed a bug where after cutting some barricades with an axe, the debris would not dissapear.




Update Early Access 1.02

Gameplay changes:
-Ingame time is faster now for free roam mode (Nights wont last as much as before).


New Stuff:
-Added more item spawns on the farm house and the Palmer area.
-You will now see a message every time you survive a night, including a counter of number of nights survived.

Mayor Fixes:
-Fixed (again) an issue related to players not being able to play on keyboard (I hope this time works!)
-Fixed a bug where some items and vehicles stopped working after the first night.
-Fixed a bug where the game wouldn't save after sleeping during the day if reaching full rest.

Minor Fixes:
-You can hide on the corn field to avoid being abducted by UFOs, it wasn't working before.
-Fixed a cabin where people could be abducted throught the roof on the Azure lake area.
-Fixed the load game menu not displaying the number of nights survived on a saved game.
