Hot Fix

Bugs Fixed:

  • Fixed some menu related bugs
  • Fixed a hint bug
  • Fixed issue where hint showed wrong location

Shotgun, Sneak, and AI Update






New Content:

  • Added a shotgun (with sound effects and animations)
  • Added a sneak/crouch mechanic making it more difficult to be detected by aliens
  • Updated pathfinding of aliens
  • Added enemy ragdoll upon death by shotgun
  • Added a ammo mechanic
  • Created a feature to randomly scatter ammo across the farm house area
  • Added a shotgun wall mount to the house
  • Player can now escape the alien's chase


Changes:

  • Flashlight will no longer stun enemies
  • Increased player sprint speed
  • Decreased player walk speed
  • Enemy will crawl for a longer distance before turning to a run


Fixes:

  • Fixed animation loops that would sometimes occur in scout alien

Gameplay Changes and hotfixes



Gameplay Changes:

  • Changed prompt on alien spires/towers from "press" to "tap"
  • Changed the amount of times the player needs to "tap" E in order to disable spires. making it less difficult
  • Changed the fonts and design of final screen


Fixes:

  • Fixed a bug where number of spires would not reset upon players death
  • Fixed a bug where player could use the hint when entering Final screen

Content Update #2


Features & Changes

  • Made it so the TV only plays upon first entering the gam (TV will be off upon respawning)
  • Added a hint system to help guide players to destinations and to help those who get lost
  • Added another alien spire in the driveway (hopefully enticing players to approach it)
  • Added a spotlight from spire so players know where to interact with
  • Increased the patrol radius of the armored alien variant
  • Removed some scout aliens to make the game less difficult
  • Updated all the UI and menus
  • Changed some post-processing effects
  • Decreased cornfield density

Bugs Fixed

  • Fixed areas where wall barrier had no collider (which allowed players to leave the map
  • Fixed some colliders on objects that were not acting correctly
