Here are some new screenshots showcasing new module sets that will be part of the 1.5.0 update:
These modules are designed to be very customizable, allowing a variety of layouts and sizes. There are two styles that may appear at specific locations in the game such as the surface of a planet or a moon.
Update 1.5.0 News, Progress and More Module Screenshots
As some people may have noticed, the development version of the game has been using UE5 for a while now.
It is a significant visual upgrade that has been a very important part of development over the past few months and it will allow the game to benefit from newer engine technology into the foreseeable future.
Here are some more screenshots showcasing multiple modules that will be part of the 1.5.0 update:
Small Hub Module:
Small Access Module
Large Access Module
These modules will eventually be used with the procedural generation system to create different space stations and moon bases.
There are many more modules in the pipeline that are almost finished, however, it is clear that it will take some time to get them all into the game and integrated.
It is looking like the update could be ready by this summer (2022) however that is subject to change depending on how things go.
Here are some screenshots showcasing a new module that will be part of the upcoming 1.5.0 update:
It is a Hub module which will serve as a connecting point between up to 6 other modules. It has been designed in such a way as to allow various configurations.
In addition to this module, there is a lot of other content that is almost finished, however, it will take some time to get it all in the game.
Unfortunately, it is not possible at this point in time to say exactly how long this will take. It will be clearer in a month or so.
Here are some screenshots showcasing a new and more realistic art style that will be part of the next update:
The module in these screenshots is meant to appear clean, minimalist, optimistic and memorable. It is also meant to be easy to navigate and orient oneself in.
This is a small sample of the large amount of content that will be coming with the next update(1.5.0). The current goal is to get all this content in the game by April 2022 although, as usual, that is subject to change depending on how well things go.
It will be by far the most ambitious update visually.
The previous plan for update 1.5.0 was to have it ready by this summer. However, with the inclusion of moon bases into the development, that is no longer going to happen.
Moon base assets are being created in parallel to the originally planned for space station assets. This is the main cause of the delay.
The decision was made to create the assets in parallel because in the long run it will save some time.
As soon as some final quality screenshots for 1.5.0 are possible they will be posted here.
After the moon base modules and space station modules are completed, the priority will be the creation of a tutorial.
Thanks for supporting the game.

Above Earth Development Continues
Previously, updates have been released approximately every 2 to 3 months.
The next update (1.5.0) is going to be quite large and is not likely to be ready until sometime this summer.
It will mostly be focused on new space station modules.
The current modules in the game are very basic. They were designed to be simple to create, maintain and update during the game's development; as the game's mechanics took shape:
Now that the basic mechanics of the game are more in place, and the procedural generation system is determined, it is possible to expand upon the space station and create many different types of modules.
The new modules will have much more variation, and because of this, navigating the interior of the procedurally generated stations will be much less confusing.
Almost every part of the station will look different and exploring it will be more interesting.
After these new modules are completed, the focus will be on creating a tutorial as well as finishing up some smaller things like an obstacle course system.
Thanks for supporting the game.
