Adrorium is a 3D Space survival / Realistic spaceship simulator game in which you explore the galaxy with a ship which you build and control with hundreds of buttons. On your journey you will defend against drones, explore planets, trade at stations, mine asteroids, explore wreckages and uncover the mystery behind the drone attacks.

Farming Update (v0.10.2)

Hi captains!


This update is out, now!
You can play it yourself through the playtest option or through the demo.

Those are the highlights:




New farming system



It was about time! multi stage growing, water/compost requirements and planting fruits directly are some of the new options.



3 new consoles



Though still in prototype phase, they have all the functionalities of the legacy consoles. Proper layout will come in next updates. All about removing legacy blocks. Did I mention they are fully modable?



6 new crops



Namium, nurins, olis, crensel, artein and tiuras. You will learn to rely on them for subsistence since the traders won't sell you anything edible anymore, jerks. Did you know you can plant things other than seeds and crops? Find out what :).



New shield system and blocks



Remember when you used to press one button to completely recharge the shields? Now they recharge very slowly and only when deactivated but can be stacked to increase the shield capacity.
Because one is too few and 3 are to many.... for a normal ship, 9 tiers should be enough to make your ship a moving bullet black hole. They also look nice.



17 new food items



Each with it's own reference, can you name them all? You thought I would make a farming update without adding a use for the plants? Guess again.



New models for 32 current blocks



In line with the aesthetics of Adro.



Target tracking



For those that can't git gud. If you think the new shields are op wait until you see this. Need the mainframe to access this overpowered ship ability. All projectiles are way faster now so at close range all hits are guaranteed.

Configurable brightness & light quality



All about supporting computers with lower specs, hey, not all simulated realities can afford to have more than one quality light source.
For when your audience only sees black in your twitch streams, pump the brightness up to blinding to silence them.

Hull breach fixing



No longer have to scrap that nanoscopic collider in the frame block, the new hull breaches require patch plates to fix and have a proper full area collider.



Lots of fixes and tweaks



Removing unneeded steps/items/recipes, you know... making the gameplay less grindy. Made missions actually worth doing, added more navigation info, more recycling to prevent excess items and many other QoL modifications.

Proper audio modding



Thanks to naudio (library) you can bring your own melodic creations into Adro. Variable bit rate, multi/single channel, yes we support them all.

Auto port forwarding



Can't be bothered to connect to your router to do a port forward?, do these words sound like Chinese? I got you covered. By default Adro will let others connect to you over internet even if your network does not allow it, as long as your router knows the UPNP protocol.

Dedicated server mode



Automation at its finest, script a server to start/stop from a shell/command prompt on a remote machine without human intervention. There are also special commands like ban, unban, kick, restart and all the usual management set.

Lots of new modding options



Block light modding, farming modding, liquids/grids fill level modding and blocks particle effects modding, let your creative aberrations become alive in Adrorium.

LookShift Update (v0.10.1)

Hi captains!

Those are the highlights:




New models for most blocks & new blocks



The main scope of this update was to improve the visuals of the game (let's face it, they were horrible before), so I remodeled almost all blocks and now Adro looks completely different, some might even call it a look shift.





New energy console



Power up the reactors, enable the dockports, see the block energy consumption and many more options from the same console.
With the new modern and compact look it is designed to replace all the other energy related consoles. Did I mention it is fully modable?
Unique to this console is that it lists the energy consumption and generation for each grid for each block.





New multiplayer framework



Goodbye Photon. The new framework based on UNET is way more stable, has less desyncs and it is faster since it involves a direct connection. It comes with a default server listing option. However you will need to portforward/use Hamachi if you want to play over internet.



New items and recipes



Build the reactor after the first loot run? don't think so, the new resources will scale the progression fairly.



Implemented voice commands



When you just can't be bothered to use your hands. Raise shields, fire weapons, debug teleport, fire boosters and many more available commands under your very finger tips, I mean vocal cords.



New block upgrade chain



But I already upgraded this block 6 times, how much more powerful can it get? On the other hand what else can I do with these end game resources...





Reworked loot/scrap progression



Did all these cargo containers from wreckages feel unrealistic? I mean who leaves perfectly fine loot just hanging around? Nobody. But who uses loot to build blocks instead of putting it in cargo? Everyone, yes, everyone. Except you, probably, good thing you don't have to loot your own ship, hopefully.....hopefully. Scrap the wreckages if you want the goodies.





Ship speed is now saved



Oh my, am I going at 14Km/s towards that planet? let me just quick save 'n load to avoid flattening my ship... oh wait... well it was a nice run.



New button layout for consoles



Removed some buttons here, added more buttons there, you know.... Just ensuring each button is not just a means of unlocking the... next button.



Updated ship designs



Can't add all these new blocks and leave the ships hangin'.





Nicer planet material



That Voronoi pattern surely looks better than the simple gradient. You will definitely notice it when you land.





Overhauled rover driving



Sick of the rover flipping inside the ship? The new driving system is simulating the physics at the wheel level instead of the rover level.



Multi screen ratio support



It's 'multi ratio', not 'multi screen', but it's just as useful, now you can have any ratio you want as long as it's greater than a square (1:1), lets see that 5760x1080 go go go.





Image modding



For when you need to replace the ugly vanilla screwdriver item icon with your ugly screwdriver item icon.



Updated manual



For all of those who keep looking for answers inside the game instead of Discord.
