Screen Resolution Update (Finally!)

It has been ages since I've done anything game related, but saw that the screen size didn't work as intended. My hope was that you'd be able to drag the window to whatever size you wanted, but it clearly didn't happen. And for any of you still playing my game after all this time, I apologize!

I've changed the game back to a previous iteration to fix this. The game is now played at a fixed resolution (640x480px I think), so twice the actual size. It might not be perfect, but it should be a lot more playable now.

Again, I'm sorry for taking so long addressing this!

Error Message When Loading an Old Save File

Some of you may have been getting an error message when trying to load a previously saved game. This was due to some variables not included in older versions of the game.
One option was to erase your existing "Apes.sav" file, but that would mean deleting your progress and starting fresh...a crappy option if there ever was one.
The latest update has a workaround though, and it should fix the issue when loading a saved game, even if it's an older file!

FaderObj Error Message/Glitches/Crash Fix

If you've come across any weirdness in the game the last week or so, I do apologize!
It seems like leaving Gamemaker 8.1 open while Windows 10 ran updates corrupted something in the file.
The only way to fix the issue was to go back to a version of the game that was saved pre-windows upates and make the changes from there.

The most recent update should be stable, but if you do come across any further problems, please let me know what they are!


Edit:
If you try to load a previously saved game, you'll probably get an error message object for "PlayerRelicFound..."
This is due to a change in the way the Continue system is handled.
You should be able to close out of it and keep playing though, and the message will not appear the next time you save :)
