Whether you're farming, questing, or just vibing in a dungeon â you're probably getting Trobbles. Some are tied to events or specific drops, but most are just chillin in global loot. Over 100 to find!
Blade of Awe Preview
The Blade of Awe is in development by Dage the Evil, with both visual and story elements being carefully planned. The story behind the weapon ties into the upcoming main campaign update, with Dage adding some secret, spoiler-y flair. The design reflects the classic Artix style and nods to past games, matching well with Sanrick's armor for those who love coordinated looks. Details on how to obtain the Blade are being kept hush hush for now.
How to (not) Make Yulgar's Inn
Yergen originally designed a stunning new map for Yulgarâs Inn, but it ended up feeling a bit too modern for Battleonâs cozy, small-town vibe. So, the mapâs getting repurposed as a Port Town (perfect fit!), while Yulgarâs Inn keeps its classic structure with some fresh visual updates and new additions. This includes an exterior blacksmithing area that reflects Yulgarâs role, plus a reworked interior with color-coded zonesâmain floor, balcony and stairs, bedrooms, and even a bathroom. The goal is to modernize the space without losing its original charm. Did we nail it?
Dwarves!
Weâre working on DWARVES! Yep, a brand-new race with their own homeland and lore. Clarion pitched the idea of antlers and horns on them (because why not?), and Dage took that and ran. The concepts are looking so cool, but I canât spill much yetâstory secrets and all that jazz. Just know itâs gonna add some major variety to Lore!
Clarion Has a Beard
Clarion has a beard... for maybe a week? Why? Because Oishii asked me if we were ready to roll the release to live, or if I needed to add anything else, and I thought it'd be funny to say "WAIT HOLD ON I NEED TO ADD SOMETHING DON'T ROLL YET!". So here we are.
Moglin Maker
Remember how we were revamping Moglins? WELLâweâre also making them customizable like human NPCs! That means clothes, weapons, and all sorts of cute outfits. We really want non-human characters to shine just as much as the humans in Lore. Itâs still a work-in-progress, but I can already tell weâre gonna fall in love with some brand-new moglin heroes.
Forging Heroes
Weâve got BIG characters coming for the story relaunch, and itâs so fun watching them evolve from âwords on a docâ to full 3D models. Weâve revealed 3 of them so farâthere are 2 more mystery NPCs in the group, so stay tuned. Canât say much yet (spoilers and all that), but theyâre super important to the new story direction. Trust me, youâre gonna want to meet them.

Mother's Day Questline, Spring Flowers, and More
Just in time for Mother's Day, a new questline has arrived in Battleon! Visit Yulgar inside the Innâheâs planning a sweet surprise for Aria and needs your help. While the storyâs details are hush-hush to avoid spoilers, there's a special reward waiting at the end, and Spring flower drops are back for house decorating!
Blue-Eyed Soul Dragon Heroic Essence
The Blue-Eyed Soul Dragon, originally released as a free early-game Travel Form, now has new variants! These include armored and ghostly versions, obtainable through Heroic Essence from level 50 endgame bosses. Visit Sir Arthur Lanceler to exchange your essence for pets or Travel Formsâintended as long-term, earnable rewards just for playing.
Treasure Chest Rewards Bonus Guardians
Weâre adding bonus features to Treasure Chest rewards, starting with Guardian-exclusive weapon displays! If you own the Void Star Scythe, you can now claim a matching House Display item from the new Guardian Golem Gift Distributor NPC in Battleon. This system will eventually be automated and retroactively applied to older items too.
Moglin Magic
Behind the scenes, weâve been cooking up tech for AQ3Dâs massive main story revampâincluding custom Moglins! Thanks to Xero and Astra, Moglins will soon have changeable colors, clothing, and models that match modern NPC quality (like Kajits). Itâs still a work in progress, but weâre excited to show off a hilariously cursed Moglin in pants.
Critters are Coming!
Astra is also breathing life into Lore by designing critters like cats, dogs, bunnies, and more! These creatures will populate the world and make it feel more alive and immersive. You may have already seen some in the intro maps, but thereâs plenty more to come.
Improving the Little Things
This oneâs small, but a big win for devs: our quest-building tools just got a major upgrade! Thanks to Spiderâs spawn editor and Zhoomâs help, NPCs now behave better when moved mid-questline. No more weird APOP glitches when characters shift locationsâthis fix made the Wiggly Whompa release a lot smoother.

Community Shop Update
This week, we are rolling out some DuckyDucky housing items for the community shop that will be available for purchase from Zillaâs community shop. You can find Zilla in both Yulgarâs Inn and the Battleon Social District for 10 DuckDucky coins each. In addition to the DuckyDucky house items available in the shops, a special ghostly variant will drop off of the DuckyDucky spawns.

Weâve been hard at work revamping AdventureQuest 3D over the last year. The team and I are so excited for you to get your hands on the revamped introduction to AdventureQuest 3D, which will start with your adventures in Mossmere that will kick off the new main story for AdventureQuest 3D. All of the gameplay and system changes weâve been making to AdventureQuest 3D have truly been leading up to this - a brand new main campaign with exciting new characters and mysteries to uncover. All built upon the foundation weâve been forging with systems like Heroic Skills and Spellforged gear. We look forward to you all questing through Mossmere and arriving at the new version of Battleon, where your journey through Lore will truly begin. And donât worry⌠as a thank you for partaking in playing through our new beginning. There will be a reward⌠a platinum promise.
New Battleon?
Weâre hard at work finishing up Mossmere, but development on AdventureQuest 3D truly never ends. Mossmere was designed to be part of the Greenguard region, so a lot of the assets weâve been building will be used to revamp the whole of Greenguard, including Battleon, as you can see in the picture above. While still very early, things are progressing fast!
A lot of players have been asking me directly what will happen to the current Battleon⌠Nothing! Well, for the most part. Current Battleon will remain accessible as a legacy map and be left untouched, save for a portal to the current Battleon. That way, no queststrings will be broken and those who just wanna hang out in Battleon can still do so! So as we build the new story, know that you will still be able to play through all that is currently in the game. I think the only thing we really wanna change is maybe removing the portal cutscenes⌠At least the ones that are there, that is.
Once we finish Battleon, this will lead us into the new Greenguard that will surround Battleon and Mossmere. While chapter 1 of our new story will take place in Greenguard that doesnât mean Chapter 2 will be a revamped Heartwood. In fact, right now weâve been leaning towards something more⌠coastalâŚ
As I have more info to share, Iâll keep you posted here in the Design Notes, really hoping to return to a more casual and fun design notes style. The kind I grew up reading as a player when I was younger. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Words really canât describe how excited I am about moving forward with this story weâre cookin!

đą A New Dawn in Lore: Earth Day, Mossmere Sneak Peek, & the Future of AQ3D
Hi heroes! To celebrate Earth Day, Reed is back in Battleon, helping players revisit previous seasonal content. This includes loads of returning gear and the nostalgic "Voice of the Forest" questline. It's a great time to explore or catch up on past Earth-themed adventures.

A new permanent questline has bloomed in Ravenspire! Visit the townâs gardener to begin âSpireâs Bloomâ and earn tokens for eco-themed rewards like back accessories and house items. Thereâs no rushâthis content isnât going anywhere, so take your time and stop to smell the roses, so to speak.
đ§ââď¸ Readying for (Re)Launch!
AdventureQuest 3D's revamped intro and main story relaunch are nearly here, kicking off with a mysterious new job from a client named Solestia. What starts as a simple escort mission quickly takes a magical turn when a shimmering portal opens before you. Stepping through it leads you to Mossmereâa peaceful mining village nestled deep within Greenguard, and the beginning of a much bigger journey.

Mossmere is a secluded, serene village built into the rocky terrain of Greenguard, protected by nature itself. You arrive there alongside Solestia, unaware of the secrets about to unfold. What you uncover here will tie your fate to Loreâsâand test the strength of your heroâs heart.
đşď¸ What Comes After Mossmere
Mossmere marks the beginning of AQ3D's new storytelling approach, with each saga expanding a region week by week. Future content will include a redesigned Battleon and an expanded Greenguard. Every releaseâfrom big quests to side missionsâwill help deepen the world and bring each zone to life.
đď¸ Beyond Battleon
Battleon is getting a full visual and functional revamp to feel more like its classic self and easier to navigate. Alongside it, new villages and towns like Amityvale (for Doomwood) and eventually Swordhaven are in the works. These hubs will be central to their regions and packed with story and exploration content.

Meet Hoppity the Gnome an Easter themed seasonal variant of Doddery, here to spread some cheer! Arriving with the festive gnome is a new purchasable summon and cosmetic rewards, from a pet and travel form to different armor pieces so you can match Hoppityâs style. Hop to it!
Grenwog Returns
Hooper has been investigating the Grenwog for years. The tracks always lead him to Battleonâs surroundings, but he has never caught sight of the creature. Hop down deep into what may be the Grenwogâs Lair, and fight monsters of all flavors: Rock Candy, Taffy, Hard Candy, and... Angry Carrots? While youâre in the cavern, gather Pixie Dust to harvest and place carrots to lure the Grenwog to you, just like a professional Grenwog Hunter would do!
If youâre lucky enough to encounter the Grenwog, and survive, return to Hopper with the Chocolate Grenwog Eggs you collected. He will happily trade them for some delicious new armors and weapons.
You can also earn Chocolate Grenwog Eggs from Time Carrots and the Bunny Berserker in Old Battleon. However, Grenwog is the only monster with guaranteed Chocolate Egg drops every time.
Egglin joins the Grenwog for seasonal fun, speak with him in the town of Battleon and do battle with Roggbert in Arcangrove Forest.
Heroic Rewards Updated
Additional Heroic Essence rewards have been added to the game. Weâve almost got all end-game weapons covered now and will continue the process of updating the previous end-game weapons to work with the Heroic Essence system. Stay tuned for more!
