A new update just went live for PC that adds a new difficulty option: "Easy" and a new lighting option for those with performance issues.
You should be able to select easy mode at any time in game through the difficulty options in the pause menu
Easy mode has a couple changes that should greatly decrease difficulty, especially in Tower Defense portions of the level:
- Players take half-damage from attacks in both Tower Defense and Exploration
- In Tower Defense, the Player phase has been doubled from 60 seconds to 120 seconds. This should give you a lot more time for setup and resource collection!
The new lighting option can be accessed here
This turns off most of the shadows and lighting for the game, so performance should increase for most people when using it. Its worth checking out even if your computer is getting good performance since it's arguably a more "pure" retro experience, but we do reccomend keeping it on default if you're unsure.
