It's been a while, too long. These last few years have been hard on all of us, the pandemic ran its course and not only did the virus itself cause tremendous suffering, but the lock down and destruction of social connections really caused a lot of mental damage. I definitely struggled with depression, and along with a bad case of burnout and some ineffective medication, it left me in a place where I just couldn't carry on development. I also struggled a lot with communication and unfortunately I let things slip. For that I truly apologise.
One thing I hate more than anything is leaving something unfinished, and things have begun to improve for me to the point that I can now restart development. There's still a lot to do: I have at least 3 more Wak-bot stages to complete, more attacks, a bunch of online/community components and a whole lot of polish and tuning to complete. I still believe in this project, and when it's all put together I think it will be a great experience.
Development will start slowly, I have a day job and that's going well so it has to take priority, but you will start seeing new additions to the game very soon.
TL,DR: I'm sorry, I'm back, things will develop slowly but updates are on the way!
Hotfix 0.19.1
This update reduces the games overall storage footprint by almost 1 gigabyte!
There are also several quality of life updates and some behind the scenes changes to the game structure to prepare for our first background stage Moon Base 2!
November has been a slow month, but It's looking like I'll be able to ramp up again soon. Stay tuned for a brand new stage, new customization options, and soon a new Wak-bot with some very unique challenges!

Patch Notes
- Added Ice attack upgrades, and fire attack upgrades! Level up any Special attack to level 6 or above to purchase the Fire or Ice attack upgrades.
Fire attacks apply the Burn status to the Wak-Bot and trigger 3 quick explosions which keep the Wak-bot airborne. This can be great to help lock the Wak-Bot in place to deliver more attacks!
Ice attacks apply the Frozen status to the Wak-Bot. For a short time the Wak-bot will fall faster, but will then shatter causing a large vertical knockback. The trick to this upgrade is to use other attacks to hold the Wak-bot in place until the shatter occurs!
- Added 'New' tags to ability upgrades when they are first unlocked. Tags for move upgrades/new moves is on the way.
Updates have slowed down a bit with life and COVID getting in the way, but I'm still making steady progress. Vanilla 0.19 is only the beginning of this new push. 0.19 will start with Ice & Fire attacks, but there is much more on the way including additional customization options (color changing finally!), more QOL improvements for the UI, and a brand new background stage!
