Update 1.0.4.28 - Oculus CV1 Fix, Auto Start, New Skins...

Two weeks have passed since the release of After-H in Early Access. We’ve received interesting feedback ever since and have worked on a fist wave of fixes and improvements. Let’s walk you through the changes…

MAJOR UPDATES


– Oculus CV1 Controller Fix –
Many players reported problems when launching After-H with the Oculus CV1, the Index or the Cosmos due to undetected controllers. From today on, gamepads (xbox, playstation…) don’t override VR controllers anymore.

– Auto Start –
This feature will fasten the game start process and resolve starting issues when the leader is AFK. After 2 minutes, the match will automatically kick off.

Requirements:
– 4 players minimum are required in the room.
– If the countdown reaches 0 and less than 3 players are in the game, the game will start as soon as a fourth player joins.
– If more players didn’t join a team before the end of the countdown, they will be automatically assigned to one of the teams.

Auto Start is not active when:
– the game is configured for less than 4 players
– the game is created with a password, in private lobby or LBVR mode

– Kick Option –
Leaders can now kick a player out of a FFA match if he or she is not responding. From now on, a cross symbol appears on the left of the player’s name. This symbol can only be seen by the leader. If pressed, the player is kicked.

– Game List Refresh –
A refresh button has been added to the game list. You can now force the game list refresh.

VISUAL UPDATES


The Solar Contest skins are now available in game! Discover TDS, AVR and PIOUPIOU Combat Armors!



The Solar Contest Tournament opposed 10 teams from location based arcades in june 2019.

MISCELLANEOUS


– Tutorial / Lobby UI: the movement system is now explained in the tutorial and lobby UI.
– Lobby Spawn: players now spawn closer to their weapon when the game starts.

BUGS


– VR controllers movement –
Joystick movement rework:
– Removal of the “touch” option on trackpad: you now have to press to move (HTC).
– A deadzone has been added on joysticks (Oculus Rift S / CV1, Valve Knuckles) in order to improve movement precision.

– Shooting Bug –
The system preventing players to pass their arm through objects to shoot is now more accurate.

– 3D Models Colliders –
Players can no longer penetrate 3D models.

– QuickMatch –
Nameless Quickmatches can no longer be created.

Patch 1.0.4.28 is the first of many content updates. We’re working on lots of new features, including feedback we received since the beta nights and the Early Access Launch.

Here we are! We're delighted to announce the official Early Access Release of After-H.

After months of development, our VR FPS is now ready for its Early Access Launch. We've come a long way since the first time After-H was ever played in Location Based VR arcades, and there is still plenty of features we want to add to make After-H even more competitive and fun to play.

What's Next?


Since we're launching in Early Access, the game will continuously be improved. We're already discussing changes, thanks to all the insights we gathered during the beta nights. Patch after patch, we'll fix what needs to be and implement new exciting features in order to diversify After-H gameplay. This release is only the beginning!

After-H Beta Nights : September 18th and 19th

After-H will be available for free in Early Access from September 23!

In the meantime, we are organizing VIP beta nights a couple of days before the official release. These will allow the most enthusiastic of you to experience After-H before everyone else... ;)

The first beta night will be held in North America, September 18... and will be shortly followed by the European night, on September 19!

Competitive Maps in After-H



The official Early Access release date will be announced real soon. In the meantime, let's take a look at the different battlegrounds After-H has to offer! There are currently 3 playable maps and more will be coming soon. Each of them has its own story and specificities. Whether you fight on Mars or in space stations is up to you. However, you'd better know where you're landing!

The Cliff - Mars





Located at the entrance of the “Whispers Valley”, this site is a former pioneer colony that was abandoned after a crash accident. Even though it’s deserted, The Cliff is a key strategic point due to its elevated positions enabling a complete surroundings control. However, the tunnels allow sneak maneuverability so you’re safe from the snipers there. As always, coordination and positioning are keys to victory!

Ruins Bay - Mars





Welcome to the first human excavation site on Mars. Tactical vision and mobility are the rules you have to live by in order to stay alive in this large combat zone. This area is studded by non-human structures, half-buried in sand, that you can use to hide from your opponents or ambush them! The size of this map makes it particularly suitable for a large number of players.

Coliseum - Area 36





A futuristic gladiator pit.
No flourishes, no talks.
Just pure fight!

Only the best warriors are allowed to clash in this clandestine arena. This futuristic hall mixes mid-distance encounters and close combat for a show worthy of you time. Thanks to the small size of the map, there is almost nowhere to hide. Be ready to engage in intense matches where skill and team collaboration are vital.
