After The End: The Harvest

Update V0.9 Out Now + Patch Notes

V0.9 is now live!

As mentioned in the last announcement, this update is not compatible with prior saves. If you're enjoying your current playthrough then I would recommend disabling the update until you're ready. I apologize to those who are inconvenienced but it has been necessary to do this before the release of V1.0.

Patch notes for Beta update V0.9:

-Rune/Socketing System
A Socketing System has been added for Weapons, Armor's and Accessories which will allow players to increase the base stats of almost any equipment that can be found/purchased in ATE:TH. All stats can be increased.
For example- ATK, HP, MP, AGI, LUK, MD, MAT etc.
Runes can be found in three variations.
+1
+3
+5
All equipment has a different amount of Socket Slots which Runes can be equipped into. The maximum amount of Slots which equipment can have is three. +1 and +3 Runes can be dropped from monsters, found/looted in the environment and acquired from various chests around the Universe. +5 Runes are rarer and more difficult to find. The Socketing menu can be accessed from within the "Equip" tab.

-AI Adjustments for most friendly/neutral alien races
Various races have had further adjustments to their AI.
If you killed one of these NPC's in prior versions, the NPC would generally begin running away from you in fear. In V0.9, killing an NPC may still result in them running away, but may also result in the NPC getting gutsy and attacking you. If you begin killing NPC's which are running away, they may decide to stop running and will begin to attack you instead, in self-defence.
Balloon Icons have also been added to help display the emotion of the NPC.

-New areas have been added to Planet Hopa and Planet Everest

-Day/Night and Climate System Tweaks
In prior versions, entering a building would pause the Day/Night cycle. In V0.9, the Day/Night Cycle will still continue operating even when inside of a building. Make sure you have your Flashlight/Lantern handy when scavenging at night!

-Ancient Inscriptions have been added across various Cave Networks around the Universe. These Inscriptions also have a Quest Line which can be triggered from Planet Seria.

-Lighting Update
Lighting inside of most buildings has been increased to help players navigate in night-time environments.

-Planet World Maps Cosmetic Upgrades
Various Planet World Maps have had small cosmetic upgrades/changes.

-Environmental Loot Adjustments
Runes, Weapons and more can now be looted/found a bit more frequently

-Various small bug and passability fixes

-Other various adjustments and surprises

Expect another announcement soon for the final release date of V1.0
If any bugs are found, please continue posting them in the forums.

Thanks, everyone!

Update V0.9 + Final Release Info

Hi everyone,

I hope you've all been enjoying the latest content updates for ATE:TH!

V0.9 will be releasing very soon and will include:
-New Areas
-Graphical Updates
-Day/Night Tweaks
-Planet Climate Tweaks
-Rune/Socketing System for Weapons and Armours
+Much more!
Full patch notes for V0.9 will be available once the update is live.

Unfortunately, Save Files made prior to V0.9 will not be compatible with this coming update. If you would like to continue playing your current file, then I would recommend not updating until you're ready.
I apologize for the inconvenience this may cause for some current players but it has been necessary so that the game is ready and as bug-free as possible for final release. V0.9 Save Files will be compatible with V1.0.

I just wanted to also take this moment to outline some of the remaining plans before the final release/launch.

It's been a long road but we're so close to finishing.
Thank you to everyone who has voiced their opinions and supported the game so far, this could not have been achieved without you all!
For a first game, I'd have to say I'm pretty pleased with the final result.
I believe this is a truly unique game and I sincerely hope you, and future players enjoy the final product.

There is some bad news, unfortunately.
The digital comic which was mentioned in older announcements will not be releasing alongside the final version. Hopefully, I will be able to release it sometime soon after the game's launch but I can't offer any guarantees at this stage. The Prologue version which was up late last year on the experimental branch will also not be releasing as a free demo on Steam for potential buyers.
This decision was made because the game systems within the main version have progressed so much since the Prologue release, and has essentially made the Prologue obsolete. A new demo which is more representative of the final version will be released once the game launches.

You can still download and play Crash Landed/Prologue for free here- https://elushis.itch.io/aftertheendcrashlanded

Beta update V0.9 coming soon.

Adventure (Challenge) Mode Out Now! + Patch V0.5

Hey everyone,

Adventure (Challenge Mode) has just been released alongside Beta Patch V0.5!

Adventure Mode spawns the player randomly in one of eight unique starting locations across the universe, with no tutorial, no clothes, a ship with no fuel and almost no direction on how to get into Space.

Each starting location has various hazards which affect how you'll be able to leave your starting planet/area.

The more you fail, the more you learn what are the right and wrong decisions.

Save Points are far and few between, and the simplest mistake can sometimes mean disastrous results.

Adventure Mode is perfect for those players that are looking for a more challenging open world experience.

This new mode can be played separately from Story and also contains its own unique set of Achievements. You can access
Adventure Mode by starting a new game from the main menu.

Beta Patch V0.5 also includes the following-

-Weather tint effect has been reduced to help with visibility on extreme planets

-Icons for certain Bow weapons have been updated

-Typo fixes for various parts including but not limited to the Story introduction sequences, as well as various NPC's.

-Passability fixes on Planet Toxicia and other various world maps and interiors

-4 new Achievements added for Adventure (Challenge) Mode

-Various minor bug fixes

Thanks guys!
