v1.1 - 'Roll & Pull'

• Added 'Stick Mode' control option


This one is for stick users. Set it to 'Roll & Pull' if you prefer classic flight-sim controls. Beware though, there's no separate yaw control.

• Added 'Camera Mode' option


Do you want the widescreen experience but don't have a 21:9 monitor? I've got you, set it to 'Cinematic'.

• Added more HUD colors


Added a few more color options and finally the HUD text changes as well.

v1.02 - 'All you can fly'

• Removed 'Overdue' fail state


I don't make this change lightly, it is one of those things that can change the feel of the game.

Anyway, it's all the same until you run out of time, after that the mission will continue but you will not be getting any extra seconds on kill and the dangerous flying bonus stops working.

Nothing changes for veteran players and new ones (and those who want a more relaxed experience) will not get punished too much. Fair?

• Less grind for weapon unlocks


Self explanatory, mostly applies to new players.

• 30mm bullets are a bit faster


30mm challenge anyone?

v1.01 - Tweaking & Aiming

• Some help & tweaks for new players


Mostly applies to first-time players: added a few words, made the 'master barrel roll' achievement a bit easier to obtain and the aircraft config is not saved anymore if it is locked and you quit the game.

v0.85 / v0.99 - Wrapped Up

I need your help. Do you have 5 min to review the tags applied to the game and perhaps boost some of the more relevant ones like 'flight' ? Afterburn is releasing out of early access very soon and that can help a lot with the visibility of the game.

UPDATE: this 👇 has been reverted back in v0.99.
About v0.85, it is mostly a maintenance update but I wanted to try and merge the 'Last Campaign' board with 'Ranking': I'm not 100% sure about this but I dont think many of us care about seeing the last campaign details in full, so I've put only the last campaign position and score under the 'Ranking' table, which is a bit more interesting.

What do you think?

v0.84 - Ranking, Wrapping Up & Stats Reset?

First of all, I'm thinking about doing a reset of the stats / achievements on release: yay or nay? Please let me know.

• Ranking Leaderboard


You can find it after the 'last campaign' board, in the hangar. It will update on each new day and will show the average score between the last 2 days and the total stats at that moment (missions, hours, kills).

The 'current / last campaign' boards, under the player name, will now show the daily stats.

• Added 'Top Dog' achievement


To get it, you just need to be first on the daily leaderboard at any time during the day, as long as there are at least 2 players. Which is nowhere as difficult to get as the 'Furious' achievement in Furious Angels 🤭

• Aircraft setup saved from last session


It's nice to start the game with the last setup ready, isn't it?

Wrapping Up


We're almost there, I think the game is mature enough for release. There's room for more updates after release but how many and often depends on how well the game will perform. So, if you like the game please tell your friends! It will help greatly.

I'm expecting a couple more updates before v1.0 for last minute tweaks. I've refactored a lot of the code that deals with the leaderboards and there could be some bug lurking in.

v0.83 - Radars, Tweaking & Polishing

• Radars fire missiles from mission 4


Added some thrills to the last 3 missions.

• Gameplay tweaking


You'll have to destroy 3 engines to bring down a Cargo now. Total health doesnt change, so each engine now takes a bit less to damage (4 Hawk missiles, 7 Falcon rockets or 10 Eagle rockets).

Plus, no more 'Dangerous Flying' points for dead Cargos and Radars.

• Polishing


Added a sound cue when hitting enemies, subtle but very satisfying if you ask me.
You can now click on the leaderboards to open a user page (to send a friend request, etc.).
Finally, added 'Anticipate' option to the 'Camera Lag' setting, check it out.

v0.82 - Introducing the Eagle

• Added the 'Eagle'


A bit of mashup between an F-15 and a Su-57. Movement wise, it is the most balanced plane. It also gets the 30mm cannon as default weapon. You'll have to grind some kills to unlock the 30mm on the other planes.

• Complete aircraft customization


With this update, aircraft selection/customization is finally complete with 3 planes, 3 variants and 3 weapons types for each (turret, missile-like, fixed cannon). There is still some room for tweaking in the upcoming updates, depending on your feedback.

• No more collisions with enemy jets (again)


I've got the memo: random collisions out of nowere, even if rare, are annoying.

• General tweaking


Mostly worked on the Falcon and Hawk stats to make sure each plane covers its specific movement niche. Also added some more infos on the UI and other little things here and there.

• Better Target Locking


Cargo mines and out of range targets gets a lower priority and should not interfere too much now.

• Added 'out of range' HUD indicator


Took a while but there you go.

• Gameplay tweaking


The radar takes 4 missiles to destroy (it was 5) and enemies crashing give you half their normal score, no more free lunches.

• More optimizations and bugfixing


Finished the optimization round started with v0.80c.

v0.80 - Final Terrain

• Terrain overhaul


All new, 3 different terrain types with 3 'time of day' variations (which can be customized in the options). The terrain is done.

• Last mission split in two parts


We're back to 6 missions total with a single epic wave for the last one. There will be no more changes to the campaign structure, only tweaking and adding new enemy types.

• Aircraft variants tweaking and removed the 'X'


The default variant is now called 'A' and has a 15% decrease in mobility (the price to pay for extra armor). Mobility bonus for the 'L' bumped from 20% to 25% (but with less armor). 'S' stays the same and is now the most balanced variant.

The 'X' was redundant and the cost for it (dead with 1 valkyrie shot) was too high.

• Added 'Time of day' and 'Camera lag' options


If you feel the controls are "too floaty" then you should probably set the camera lag to 'Fast'.
