A brand-new Saga Server is fast approaching! A Saga Server is a brand new limited-time server where you create a new character, complete milestones, earn exclusive loot, and experience the thrill of starting anew!

The Saga of Blood begins September 27th. Let’s take a look at what to expect:



WHAT IS THE SAGA OF BLOOD?



Saga of Blood is a new limited-time server running on a PvP ruleset. You create a new character on this server, and play through a special “Saga Quest” as you progress. Completing objectives in this quest awards exclusive cosmetics and high-level PvP gear!

Additionally, Saga of Blood introduces weekly level caps and leaderboards. More on that below!

As with Saga of Zath, there is a new Saga-exclusive Hoard you may purchase on Saga of Blood, featuring tradable items that you can bring back to the main servers with you. When Saga of Blood closes, your character will be transferred to Fury with their inventory fully intact.



HOW CAN I PLAY ON SAGA OF BLOOD?



It’s easy - all you have to do is click a button! From the character selection screen, look for the option on the right to “Create Saga Character”.



You won’t need an empty character slot to play on Saga of Blood, either. Just create a character and play right away!

You cannot transfer a character nor use a character boost on Saga of Blood; everyone starts fresh with nothing but rags and broken oars to their name. This also means you don’t have access to pre-existing account claims nor tokens when starting on Saga of Blood.

If you delete your Saga Character, we cannot restore them!



SAGA OF BLOOD EXCLUSIVE FEATURES:



The Saga Quest


Shortly after washing ashore on Tortage Island, you are assigned a “Saga Quest” which tasks you with reaching various progression milestones:
  • Reach Level 18
  • Reach Level 30
  • Reach Level 40
  • Reach Level 50
  • Reach Level 60
  • Reach Level 70
  • Reach Level 80
  • Reign in Blood

Each tier also requires you to defeat several players in your level range.

Level Caps & Progression


Relating to the above milestones, Saga of Blood will have tiered level caps that expand over time. When you first start out on Saga of Blood, your maximum level will be capped at Level 18 for the first week of the server, and then will increase to Level 30 the following week. Every week after, the level cap will increase by 10, allowing you to progress the Saga Quest!

Character progression is greatly accelerated on Saga of Blood, and with the recent changes to gaining XP from PvP kills, you should have no problem gaining levels. If you need a boost, they’ll be available in the item shop, too!

Leaderboards


Compete with rival heroes as you rise through the ranks and level caps! Leaderboards track the top 100 players across various categories, and are archived and reset after each “season” as level caps increase. Leaderboards will be visible once the server is live.

Server Bloodshed


Similar to Saga of Zath, there is a global community goal and reward in Saga of Blood. As players spill each others’ blood in PvP combat, we’ll keep track of the kills made and the whole server gets a cosmetic reward once the goal is met.

Exclusive Hoard


A special Hoard is available exclusively to your character on Saga of Blood. Remember, your Saga character’s inventory carries over to Fury when the Saga ends, so you can show off or even trade your goods with the community.

No Distractions


This Saga is all about crushing your enemies. Portents and the Raid Finder are disabled entirely on Saga of Blood. Instead, the PvP Festival will run every weekend on Saga of Blood!

End-of-Saga Tournament


Upon the conclusion of Saga of Blood, we’re inviting all the top contenders on the leaderboards to a PvP Duel tournament to prove your worth as the all-time best of your class. The top 4 player killers for each class will qualify for a chance to win an exclusive Cloak, Title, and other fabulous prizes for your class. More details to come!

New daily login rewards are available during the event!  The daily event rewards calendar replaces the standard one for the duration of the event.  These rewards include Atlantean Shards, Paragon’s Caches, Expertise Points, and the free mount seen above! 
  

Spoils of Victory - Anniversary Edition 



Every day, you will receive an additional login reward that gives you a special Raid Finder chest. This chest can be opened with the "Conqueror's Gift" buff after completed any daily challenge. In addition, the "Minigame Participation" daily challenge has been changed to "Raid Finder or Minigame Completion." This special chest contains numerous rewards, including a brand-new pet and cloak

Quality of Life Improvements 



Some of you have been asking for these changes for a long time, and we’re happy to announce numerous fixes and QoL changes with the anniversary update. 
Here’s a sample of what’s changing: 
  • Settings are no longer stored on the server. Though this means that you have to have settings for each client, this will remedy settings being overwritten by the server when they fail to store properly. 
  • The Resurrection window will now select the latest option, which prevents players from accidentally resurrecting to a res pad after receiving a second resurrection from a player. 

  • PvE XP can now be disabled entirely starting at level 19, and we're bringing back PvE XP from PvP kills! 
  
  

End of Saga FAQ


Hail, heroes! The Saga of Zath reaches its conclusion on May 15th. It’s been incredibly exciting seeing so many faces, both familiar and new, come together to make the Saga a success. 

We can’t wait to show you what’s coming next, especially considering a certain game is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year... 

But, before we get too far ahead of ourselves, let’s talk about what’s happening with Saga of Zath. 

First, the Saga-exclusive Hoard of the Third Raider is going away when Saga of Zath closes. Remember, the contents of these hoards can be smuggled to Crom and traded there after the merge! The hoard is now 30% off until the end of the Saga, so get it while it’s hot! 

Now, many of you had questions on what exactly the merge entails - we’re happy to answer them:
 

What happens on May 15th?

All servers will go down for extended downtime on this date. During this time, Saga of Zath will be merged into Crom.

 

Do I get to keep my Saga character?

Yes! Your Saga character will transfer to Crom - just make sure you don’t leave anything in your mail or tradepost! These items will be lost to the ether during the merge.

 

Does my Saga character have to go to Crom?

Yes, all characters on Saga of Zath are being moved to Crom during the merge. If you want your Saga character on Fury, you will need to use the Character Transfer service from your account page.

 

Do I keep the fatality buff from Saga of Zath?

The buff is exclusive to the server, not your character. When your Saga character is moved to Crom, they will not receive that bonus.

 

What about my character’s name?

Character names will be transferred from Saga of Zath. If there is a naming conflict, it will be resolved according to the following, in order: 
  • Recent Account Activity - If an account with a Crom character causing a naming conflict has been played in the last 24 months, the Crom character keeps the name. If that account has been inactive for the past 24 months, the Saga character keeps the name. If both accounts are active, then...
  • Higher Character Level - The higher-level character keeps name. If they’re the same level, then...
  • Older Character Creation Date - The older character keeps name.


 Characters who lose their name will be provided a temporary name and you will be able to rename them for free the next time you log in with that character.

 

What about the Saga Quest Rewards?

As you complete stages of the Saga Quest, you’ll get each reward as an additional, separate claim through the shop window after the merge. This includes everything from the vanity gear, to the potions, to the power gear. These rewards can be used on Crom or Fury on a character of your choosing!

You can claim each reward once per account, so please choose the character wisely. You cannot claim these rewards on your Saga character.

 

I still keep the Saga Quest rewards on my Saga character, right?

Yes, your Saga character keeps everything they’ve already earned. The item claims are an additional reward for playing on Saga of Zath.

 

Will I be able to complete the Saga Quest after the merge?

The Saga Quest will become unavailable after Saga of Zath closes.

 

What about my guild?

Guilds on Saga of Zath will be transferred to Crom. This includes: 
  • Guild Name
  • Guild Bank
  • Guild City


Battlekeeps will not transfer to Crom, but you can contact Customer Service to get your materials back.

 

My guild has the same name as one on Crom. How does that work?

Guild names on Saga of Zath that conflict with guilds on Crom at the time of the transfer will receive “[Legacy of Zath]” added to the name.

 

What happens to my Saga character slot?

If your Saga character is at least level 20 by the time Saga of Zath closes, you keep the free extra character slot. This means you won’t need to do anything extra after the merge.

 

I didn’t get to level 20 before the merge. What happens then?

If your Saga character is below level 20, your character is still transferred to Crom, but you do not get an extra character slot. You’ll need to make sure you have enough character slots on your account to be able to unlock the character.

 

Do I get anything for having a Saga character below level 20, then?

You do! Even if you haven’t done any of the Saga quests, if you have a character on Saga of Zath, you get to claim the Embrace of Zath cloak for one character on the account. This vanity cloak was awarded to the Saga of Zath community for the defeat of Ethram-Fal, the final boss of the raid dungeon Palace of Cetriss.

 

Speaking of Ethram-Fal, I’m one of the people who defeated him. Do I get anything?

Fame and glory! If you defeated Ethram-Fal outside of the Raid Finder during the Saga of Zath, your character name will be posted on the website and forums for all to honor.
