Hi all,

some of you might have noticed that greenskin shamans have a completely new type of magic they can use to summon three different powerful totems:


  • BATTLE TOTEM - up to three random units will get +2 Attack at the beginning of the turn. This is the perfect totem to place just behind your line of warriors.
  • DISEASE TOTEM - this one weakens enemies, casting powerful Plague on advancing soldiers.
  • HEALING TOTEM - a long-awaited healing for greenskins! Up to three random units will be healed for +1 HP (also removes Poison, Disease and Intoxication). Place it near a Battle Totem for a superior combo.


Please note that enemies can and will destroy totems! Shamans will get other new spells in the future.

ROYAL WATCHMEN WORKSHOP MODS

The first is a subset of the second adapted to provide a set of units which purpose is to facilitate a intensively skirmishing style in a campaign of AoF3.

The second is a mini-campaign using the same set of units. Only the intro (5 battles) is available but I hope I will find time and courage to complete it soon. I have a clear idea of full story, choices, branches, endings so it's just a matter of scripting and translating (a long long way),

Warning : For the moment these mods are exclusive, I will merge them in a unique mod when my campaign will be complete.


Please give it a go - creating mods is always time consuming. However, in this case result is very playable! Our respect and kudos to Hottomo!

TERRAIN ENHANCEMENTS

Hi,

As some of you noticed, we are continuously improving graphics in our games. The most of work has been done by Willisama here, with the details added like below:



If anyone play/testing any Age of Fear game and feels like there are missing decorations or odd stuff on campaign maps, please share your views so we can try to add objects or just give a more themed feel to said map.

The idea is to remove any feeling of "blend/empty" map so that every battle is also like a trip to an actual different area in the game world.

RENDERING UPDATE

Hi all,

I just have patched all our games with new rendering engine. This update should resolve a number of issues with rendering artifacts and also missed clicks.

I will write more details in the next official patch-notes.

INVISIBILITY!!



Hi all!

There is an interesting mechanic we are working on now - Invisibility. Units can become completely unseen and as such won't be drawn for other players (AI included). You can imagine what tactical possibilities that new skill will open.

This feature also requires a substantial AI refactoring. CPU player will be able to sneak on player, position its units and execute coordinated attacks from all directions!

This feature is complex to implement but will fit very well in the two next games we're working on: AOF4 and [secret title here].
