After releasing procedurally generated battles, we are working on Global Events. Like community suggested, those will be either positive or choice-based.
We have almost to 50 of those already (there will be at least double that). You are all very welcome to suggest additional ones!
I am so happy that we finally got this feature working!! In brief, during campaign you can also pickup randomised battles (with all factions) and earn some experience or capture enemy units! :)
The game makes sure there are always 4-6 battles.
NOTE: this is rather heavy patch (additional 1.9GB). So sorry for that, it's mostly new graphics and it's once-only.
NOTE 2: sometimes random battle generator is slow when generating battle. Sorry for that - some code needs to be optimised more and I am working on that. FIXED.
Aside from this change there are few other:

The idea is that player will be able to upgrade its base during campaign and get different types of units from there. That should fit nicely with Open World battles we are currently working on as well.
