First Early Access Update (v0.620)

We uploaded new update v0.620, no new content yet, but we tried to implement so much suggestion as it was possible! We would like to hear what you think about new features, if it makes the game worse or better? Let us know!

Hopefully some new missions in next update (in week or two)! We already work on it.

Now there is the list of changes:

FEATURES ADDED/IMPROVED:


  1. Added autohover function! It works as toggle, so you press the activation key and you still remain in autohover until it's deactivation with same key. When in autohover you don't need to hold the "Weapon control" key to steer the turret gun or missiles!

    Default controls:
    Mouse/Keyboard: KEY 1
    Gamepad Casual: DPAD UP
    Gamepad Novice/Pilot: RS BUTTON
    Joystick: BUTTON 13

  2. Divided "view-zoom" into two keys on joystick! This allows you to zoom in/out better without cycling the all zoom levels. On gamepad it was remain for now.. there are right now not enough buttons to map this functionality.

    (Note when you using your custom control scheme check if you already not using any of newly added buttons/keys)

  3. Improved accuracy for turret gunner and SACLOS missiles! Previously due to different angles was turret gunner and SACLOS guidance not always exact - now it should be!

  4. Updated crosshair while controlling turret gunner and weapon control - there was deleted lines from center of crosshair to allow you better observe MCLOS missiles and targets you firing on!

  5. Added possibility to activate camera view by F1-F6.. for all devices:
    F1 - default
    F2 - side left camera
    F3 - side right camera
    F4 - Infra camera
    F5 - Cockpit view: Pilot
    F6 - Cockpit view: gunner

  6. Added quit button into main menu

  7. The cockpit glass effect was changed in order to clearer view!

  8. Now is possible to test all weapons free flight mode



FIXED COMMUNITY REPORTED ISSUES:

  1. Computer should not go into sleep mode while you play on gamepad or joystick

  2. Fixed Mi-8 machineguns - one its machinegun was defined on wrong position - out of aircraft.

  3. Doorgunner - InvertY was not connected with it's control. Now the "InvertY - Turret" is connected with Doorgunner control. Sensitivity was decreased a bit too.

  4. Buggy cockpit-view in "Evacuation" mission

And other bugs we found internally!

Air Missions: HIND - Development Diary #5

The fifth development video of Air Missions: HIND shows recently added feature into our engine - a city during night! There are shining lamps and shining lights in some of the building windows. Air Missions: HIND - Development Diary #4

This development diary of Air Missions: HIND will show a little of actual gameplay. We made for players three types of controls, the "Casual" mode where the controls are very easy - it's easy almost like to play first person shooter. Then "Novice" and "Pilot" controls require a little more experience to control your helicopter! Enjoy!

Air Missions: HIND - Development Diary #3

This short development video shows the parade of Mi-24 Hind's machinegun weapons. The main weapon is flexible Yak 12.7mm, in-game you can adjust the direction of fire as on real helicopter. You can also mount to your helicopter the UKP-23 gun pod or GUV-8700 gunpod. This guns are not flexible but additional machinegun firepower is sometime useful - especially against enemy helicopters.

Many of you - players asking for some gameplay videos, in next diary we will show (finally :-) ) the actual gameplay! We recently added the new "casual" control-physic because we're sure some of players will love it. For the rest of you, who like classic helicopters controls, game supports additional 2 control types ("Novice" and "Pilot"). We would like to fit the taste of all players! Stay with us!
