Color variation options for ship piping arrive this update. Along with the 3 new piping coloration options, many ship parts previously unaffected by the palette swapping have been fixed to reflect your color choices.
1.23.24
Major Features
Added 3 cosmetic piping tint options.
Bug Fixes
Fixed some parts not affected by ship color variations.
Airmen 1.23.23: Structure Tints
This week's update introduces three new cosmetic variations to the color of ship structure. These variations are along the same lines as the existing wood variations being unlocked by default and small tweaks.
1.23.23
Major Features
Added cosmetic structure tint options.
Bug Fixes
Fixed some parts with missing models.
Airmen 1.23.22: Launching Dragoon Docks
This week's update finally arrives after an off week and delays due to setting up the project on a new PC. Keep an eye out for any weird new bugs that may have crept in.
A new dragoon dock variant is now available after researching Pressure Actuation. The launching docks will propel their dragoons forward at high speeds when mounted.
1.23.22
Major Features
Added dragoon docks that launch the dragoons once mounted.
Airmen 1.23.21: Windy Weather
This week's update adds a new effect to intense weather across the archipelago. The magnitude of the wind force will up to triple during stormy weather. Additionally, an erratic secondary force will rapidly alter the direction of the wind during storms. More mild weathers such as fog will experience reduced wind forces.
1.23.21
Major Features
Different weathers will increase and decrease the force applied by wind.
The wind direction changes sporadically during stormy weather.
Minor Features
Changed the default rotation of parts in hand in the hangar.
Propellers and dragon tails will slow down when damaged.
Bug Fixes
Fixed the drone deployer stats displaying 0% damage reduction.
Fixed the sail tool tip missing a space on the last line.
Airmen Update 1.23.19: Anchors
This week's update finalizes the tree visual updates and adds the anchor. The anchor deployer drops an anchor that sticks to terrain and prevents the ship from drifting too far away. Unlike the harpoon, the anchor's target length is set to the length of the chain when then the anchor hits terrain. The chain of the anchor can also be climbed. The anchor is unlocked by default and is now equipped on the starter ship.
1.23.19
Major Features
Update distant tree appearances and leaf shader.
Added an anchor.
Minor Features
When the weather station changes the weather the next natural weather change will be skipped.
Bug Fixes
Fixed rebuilt cargo pads having ghost cargo parcels on them.
Airmen 1.23.17: Box Engine Variants
This week's update adds two new variants of the box engine. The small and long box engines follow the same high pressure/volume and low pressure/mass archetype as the default box engine.
Additionally, the mass of the gyro stabilizer has been greatly reduced to lower the cost of having one aboard even when it isn't in used by a human gunner.
1.23.17
Major Features
Added Box Engine Small
Added Box Engine Long
Reduce the mass of gyro stabilizers from 50 to 20.
Airmen 1.23.16: Bone Beams
This year's Spookening Event kicks off this update temporarily enabling the completion of Spookening challenges and adding a series of bony new parts to build with. The new bone beams and their rib variants can be unlocked by extracting any amount of ancient bone. Meat and bone walker legs can also be unlocked through researching Pressure Actuation and extracting any amount of ancient bone and demon flesh.
1.23.16
Major Features
Added bone beams.
Added bone walker legs.
Minor Features
Added each weapon's projectile guide to their part details guide list.
Reduced the autohammer size of the beam mount to 0 so it does not impact autohammer range.
Bug Fixes
Fixed the projectile guides foldout toggle toggling the wrong group.
Airmen 1.23.13: More Rogue Drones
Friends of the laser drone go rogue this update with hordes of demo drones and Mechalodon drones appearing across the archipelago.
The mag beam has also been adjusted to wobble it's beam. The wobble magnitude is affected by accuracy scaling. Now that a quad mag beam ship will struggle to snipe a steering wheel at max range, it's high range damage falloff has been reduced.
1.23.13
Major Features
Added rogue demo and Mechalodon drone swarms.
Minor Features
Added wobble to the mag beam's beam that scales in intensity with accuracy scaling.
Reduced the range damage falloff of the mag beam from 100%>50% to 100%>70%.
Airmen 1.23.12: Rogue Drones
Rogue drones appear across the archipelago this update adding another open-world encounter along side minefields and water spouts. Rogue drones appear in groups of 20 and will hover aimlessly until a ship comes within range. Ships encountering the drones must destroy them individually or leave their area as they do not rely on a drone deployer.
A large change to autohammers also rolls out this update reducing how far they spread through large components with many connection faces. All balloons and buoyant parts now count as 3 parts for the purpose of autohammer coverage spread. Autohammers will still repair a part they can reach but lack sufficient range to pass through. For example, an autohammer mounted directly to a box balloon would repair the balloon and every part connected to it, even if that part were another box balloon, but would repair no other parts.
1.23.12
Major Features
Added rogue drone swarms.
Added autohammer density to all balloons that reduce reach through them.
Airmen 1.23.11: Weapon Durability Increase
This week's update significantly increases the durability of the weakest critical systems of a ship. While weapons were a large pool of hitpoints compared to the engine or balloon damage required to down a ship, losing even a single weapon both brings you closer to defeat and buys your enemy more time to destroy you, snowballing the fight.
1.23.11
Major Features
Double the hitpoints of all weapons.
Doubled the hitpoints of all steering wheels.
Minor Features
Added a force reduction on the ship stabilizer for ships with low inertia around the correction axis.
Added a small force when firing Behemoth Flak, Behemoth Gatling, Quad, Flak, Bone, Battery, Drum, Bunker and Blast cannons.
