How on earth am I suppose to take all of these boxes inside this small airplane?
Nothing extraodrinary here - just a couple of boxes with some toys...Right?
If you're a huge airplanes fan, you might be interested in our two other titles that we have in portfolio – Gas Station Simulator and it's recently released Airstrip DLC, as well as American Airport Simulator.
For those of you who are not familiar with those titles, Airstrip DLC brings a new layer of gameplay to Gas Station Simulator, as right now you can have your own small airstrip next to your thriving gas station business. The DLC brings a unique blend of tasks, challenges, and rewards that will keep players engaged for hours.
American Airport Simulator is an engaging and immersive simulation game that puts you in control of managing a bustling airport in the United States. The game offers an authentic experience that challenges players to handle the complexities of running a modern airport efficiently and effectively.
As the airport manager, you'll take charge of every aspect of airport operations, from designing the layout to overseeing day-to-day activities. The game provides a realistic and detailed environment, featuring a variety of aircraft, buildings, and ground vehicles.
And guess what? We also have some fresh screenshots to share with ya! If you wanna check them, don’t hesitate and go to the American Airport Simulator’s Steam page.

With that in mind, make sure to check out the Gas Station Simulator - Airstrip DLC that has released today.
In our last announcement, we mentioned that we are going to let you in our plans on how to proceed with Airport Contraband’s development. It’s something that’s has been set up for a bit now and we now reached a point where we can make it official. You see, one of the ideas that has been floating around here at the studio, since it’s an obvious one, is to find a team to aid us and develop the game together.
Right, easier said than done, considering that for such a close cooperation which we have in mind the list of requirements makes that obvious approach quite difficult in the real world. Let’s just look at some of the key points on our list:
A team that we already know or worked with in the past, so there will be no surprises.
A team with a high level of experience in terms of game development.
A team that also has the same level of experience in terms of handling development pre- and post-release, having already made some games.
A team that is going to be passionate about that type of game.
A team that will not just develop our game but make it their game and put their own heart into it.
A team that can basically match our team structure since we’ll have to work together closely.
A team with members who worked with each other on a regular basis and know each other.
And since we are writing a letter to Santa Claus, let’s also add that we’d like the team to be local, so we just grab a cab or jump on a tram across town and can meet up quickly.
You know, sometimes ones really gets lucky. It doesn’t happen often, but this time it happened for us. We did manage to find a local team checking everything on the list, and they just finished a project, and are ready to start cooperating with us on developing Airport Contraband :)
This team is Titanite Games, and we all just jumped right in and started working on Airport Contraband!
We will do a detailed introduction soon and outline how we want to proceed and what may change in the game going forward, but we need some time with both teams to wrap up some planning tasks first.
Routastic event is coming! 🔥

And we've come to an end, folks! We cannot wait to share more information regarding the event, Road Diner Simulator, and Airport Contraband. While you eagerly waiting for all of this suff, you can check our other titles. For instance, Airstrip DLC is releasing just in two weeks, so if you don't want to miss it, consider adding it to your wishlist, so you'll be notified as soon as the game releases.
As you have surely noticed, there isn’t much happening here with Airport Contraband and we figured it’s about time we give you a status update on the state of the game.
There is significant interest in Airport Contraband and we are very aware of that. The game is by no means cancelled or its development abandoned as some have wrongly stipulated. Quite the opposite is true, we are still working on it, albeit very slowly. The success of Gas Station Simulator and the universe we are creating around it with additional content, DLCs, Road Diner and Motel Simulator have drawn a lot of development resourced to these projects at the cost of Airport Contraband.
That being said, Airport Contraband has a significant following and we see how nicely its wishlist is building. This means that we have to make some serious changes internally as to how we are approaching the development of this game and make those changes quickly, otherwise we might run out of the decade to get it done ;-)
We are in the process of making those changes already and we are at a point where we believe to be able to present you those plans sometime next month already. So please bear with us a little longer, Airport Contraband will definitely happen!
On a side note, if planes and airports are your thing, have a look at Airstrip for Gas Station Simulator that is coming soon:
Surrounding the launch of our Gas Station Simulator later today we prepared an event that covers some interesting things about the game. Maybe interesting enough to get you interested in buying an abandoned gas station, fix it up and run it.
We will start the event with Raptor playing Gas Station Simulator at 16:00 CEST and end around 22:00 CEST with a QA session with lots of interesting stuff in between. Naturally all the footage shown today will be from the full game.
On September 15th we are releasing one of our games: Gas Station Simulator. While you are waiting for Airport Contraband, maybe have a look at Gas Station Simulator. Running a gas station the way we made it might be just something you enjoy.
Head over to Gas Station Simulator and have a look! https://store.steampowered.com/app/1149620/Gas_Station_Simulator/ If you think the game is for you, add it your wishlist while at it. Not only will Steam remind you about its launch, but you also show us your support.
DevLog #2: "Think Big, Start Small"
Unlike people, airports aren’t made equal. When you usually hear ‘airport’, the first image that comes to mind is a great sprawling airport with a dozen planes both arriving and ready to depart at a moment’s notice. But while other types of airport might not be as immense and visually impressive, they are by no means less important. During your career as a security guard looking for contraband, you’ll have the chance to progress your career through a variety of airports and learn the ins and outs of their functions. But here’s a brief overview.
To begin with, the main distinction to be made is the size of the airport. Naturally, don’t expect large planes to touch down on a place that can hardly keep tabs on three or four dozen people. Small airports more often see use by private investors, personal planes or small-time commercial freighting. Of course, just because passengers aren’t involved doesn’t mean contraband doesn’t exist. Plenty of people like to haul things that are strictly forbidden, doubly so when they’re protected by a thick layer of private investment money. Cargo crates, small-time luggage or personal investigation will be your bread and butter on these types of airports. Remember to be ever vigilant.
In a more familiar topic, big and bustling airports can be either used for either service of freight - more often than not, they’re frequently utilised for both means. Your old repertoire of tasks and duties won’t shrink, but expect it to in fact grow significantly as you will be forced to not only deal with people, but also with an even greater abundance of cargo. On the happier side, due to the cosmopolitan nature of such airports, you’ll not likely encounter individuals of high renown flying their personal, small-time planes. Over here, things are done in bulk and large.
On the other hand, the more people, the higher the chance of an unfortunate accident. Be wary of crowds getting riled up one by another, make sure to keep health standards in check. Airports are the first and often most important line of defence against an unwanted pandemic just waiting to strike.
Remember - the safety of passengers is in your hands. Do your best!
