Today we have the very first news about our project — AKUMA!
We want to share with you:
- the development progress,
- announce our first Community Challenge,
- and introduce you a little bit into the world of the game.
AKUMA World
You have already noticed that our game is more complex and in-depth than many other games in the 'Adult Only' category.
And that's true — for us, AKUMA is first and foremost an adult visual novel with elements of a rhythm game, whose visual style reminds us of the Japanese eroge genre of the 2000s.
At the same time, we want to surprise you not only with the narrative, but also with the rhythm action gameplay, because each city-hacker has her own favorite music style and unique game mechanics.
Little helpers
Today we would like to introduce you to the game assistants — SOVA.
These little digital creatures are owl mascots that every city-hacker has.
You can see Sakura's SOVA below.

Next month we will show you Akari's SOVA.
Sharing development progress
We have finished working on the texts and music and are now working on the level design of the rhythm action levels and the design of the visual novel part.
Below is an example of a visual novel part, where Akari visits Typhoon at Nova Tokyo City Hospital.

The first Community Challenge
We are launching Community Wishlist Mira Challenge!
About 1000 players have already added our game to their wishlist and we would be very happy if we could reach the number of 2500 wishlists with you! It would mean so much to us!
When the challenge is completed, more information about our game will be unlocked on the AKUMA Store Page. There will be a gameplay screenshot with Mira and the art of Mira's SOVA.

The AKUMA soundtrack now has its own Store Page on Steam!
Adding a soundtrack to your wishlist also counts towards completing the Community Wishlist Mira Challenge!

The future of AKUMA
We are still deciding the exact release date of the project, because we want you to have minimum bugs and maximum immersion in the world of AKUMA at release!
But we definitely want to realize the game in Q1-Q2 2022.
Today we also would like to talk about the future of AKUMA.
We want to support the project even after its release.
There are our small plans that we would like to share with you:
2022 Q2 — Free Update: Full Japanese and Korean localization and focus on bug fixing.
2022 Q3 — Free Update: Nova Tokyo Vogue — special Arcade Mode skins for Sakura, Akari and Mira inspired by the culture of Japanese City Pop of the 80s.
2022 Q4 — Free Update: HardHack Trials — an ultra-hardcore difficulty level for Arcade Mode that lets you unlock new latex skins for Sakura, Akari and Mira.
