Hello again, peeps!
Yet another update for Alan Sharp - Chapter 0: Prologue. Like we promised, we will continue updating and improving the gameplay experience for every horror & puzzle fan! We've watched your videos, your livestreams, checked the comments and taken notes.
In this Update Version 1.0.8, we are happy to announce that:
2 New Languages
have been added to the game, including a third one which is well underway. Get your Chinese & French Horror Mates and bring them into the mysterious world of Alan Sharp. Oh, we haven't forgotten about you Russian fans! The Russian Localization is being worked on as we write this Announcement!
Besides the 2 New Languages Added, we also focused on suggestions, small bugs and quality of life improvements
, including:
Collision fixes & tweaks throughout all the levels
Fixed the widget saying "Bold cutter" instead of "Bolt Cutter"
Red lights intensity in the last level increased for better player guidance, as well as added another light where we considered it would be helpful for players to navigate.
Fixed the drawer in the Library which wasn't "closable" and added to the Save System. Although not a bug, we believe it is a nice quality of life touch to the game.
Fixed every single drawer which pushed you away when standing too close to it
Added a widget to explain why Sam suddenly reacted with a "mad" speech at particular moments. Although there were streamers who noticed the reason, many were quite confused. We believe this particular on-screen widget would clear up the mystery :)
Lowered the end credits music volume
Localization fixes across all languages where particular Journal entries weren't written in the selected language.

Large Update focused on Bugs, Glitches & Gameplay Issues
Just Amazing, You guys who reached out to us via e-mail, or the Streamers who ended up on a potential issue - again, you help us improve Alan Sharp and make it better, more engaging and more fun to play! ːsteamhappyː
This would be a large update focused on bugs, glitches, game crashers and some quality of life we've managed to finish in the past couple of days. Check it out!
[Patch Notes]
Sam seen standing in the end - fixed
Grammatical errors in some items fixed
Added some additional "clues" (helpers) to guide players while solving the Regan case in the mansion.
A sound cue added in the Asylum
Tweaking the door jumpscare camera control
Reduced the sound of "Journal Updated" when starting the final level of Chapter 0.
Fixed issues with the save system
Pick up sound of the statue on the bar - volume lowered
Fixed the overlap speech in the Asylum
Invisible walls added in the Artifact scene where you were able to pass through a wall to the living room. Added extra invisible wall to prevent going to basement and confuse players
Added lighting helpers to prevent players wandering aimlessly around the mansion
Weapon un-hidden on the AI
Removed the hovering weapon glitch in Sewers
Fixed the standing black figure in the hidden cutscene
Removed "trace of blood" which got stuck on the screen during cutscene
A lot of optimization, removal of unecessary objects and deactivation of several empty drawers and cabinets which confused players and made them open every single one of them
Journal Entry fixes
Maze Puzzle issue fixed which, although rarely, caused the pin to go out of the maze.
Added auto-wrap function on the Journal Entries
Voice-recorder removed once you get back to Regan Manor.
Phone ringing removed which caused some players to think it was a guide for further progression.
Fixed doctor in Save System
A bug which locked all doors during Continue game - fixed
Game crasher on cabin puzzle with the letters fixed
4 drawings counting issue in Alan's home fixed
Locker & Locker System removed - although it was presented as an Easter Egg, we do not think it would be suitable mechanic for our game.
Fixed the issue where you can double-click the gun in the memory lane and cause the cutscene all over again
Fixed crouch places issue
Fixed the navmesh space of the AI which prevented it to go through doors or narrow spaces.
For the Next Update in a few days, we'll be focusing on Quality of Life things and additional localization.

Huge Update - Bug Fixes & Glitches
Before we start addressing this update, we would LOVE to thank all of you guys who played Alan Sharp! We carefully watched every stream/video we could come across, whether it's live or pre-recorded on Youtube or Twitch.
We analyzed every single moment, writing down things which felt hard, bothered you, potential bugs and issues, suggestions, audience & content creator feedback - everything we could come across to make Alan Sharp as best as possible for all detective, horror fans and lovers of deep, immersive stories.
The number of players who already got the game in these two days is... astonishing. And seeing streamers/players immersed in the story itself was a dream come true. Thank you!
Now, back to the UPDATE ːsteamhappyː We noticed some concerning issues which prevented some players from continuing the game at particular points, so those became our first top priority for this next patch.
Here are the things that will not bother you anymore, peeps! A good bug is a dead bug *demonic grin:
1. The Doctor not working in the asylum level after you exit and click continue - save system issues fixed 2. The pump puzzle bugging 3. The pump spawning a double cinematic and game crashing 4. Huge inventory fix which previously deleted items randomly 5. Removed a widget in police station 6. Fixed the "gun" at "Empty level" to prevent spam and cause a glitch 7. Fixed several journal entries 8. Removed a floating lamp light in Regan Manor 9. Increased blocking volume at the library which caused players to get stuck when opening the drawer. 10. Removed a trigger box saying "Not available in this demo" 11. Rotation fix for Last Checkpoint after you get caught - caused players to get confused when Sam was looking in the dark. 12. Fixed a bug which caused players to light up item before a puzzle is solved. 13. Huge graphical optimization for smoother gameplay and higher FPS.
Note: A few more "visual" things will be fixed first things in the morning tomorrow, although they won't affect your gameplay and get you stuck. With the morning update, we'll also change the version in the main menu, so do not get confused when you see version 1.0.5 still there with game's update.
Also, we received a lot of questions regarding future chapters. Soon, we'll post another announcement which thoroughly describes how future chapters will be released to clear out any misunderstanding and confusion you might have.
