Alien Arena 7.71.6 has been released! Several updates have been done:
There is now a filter in the server list to show active servers only
It's easier to see the number of real players in the server list
The server list sorts on player count + ping by default
The newsfeed can show colors now
The antilag code has been optimized

It's now possible to very easily download and install 3rd party maps hosted on https://www.alienarena.org by just using the installmap command from the console in the game. Next to this, all game operations are now hosted on alienarena.org, also irc moved to irc.alienarena.org. You shouldn't notice any difference regarding these changes.
Also some bugs have been fixed:
Downloading maps is using the http protocol again instead of udp, so much faster downloading.
The newsfeed is working again.
The old obsolete in-game stats have been removed.
New CTF maps
We added a bunch of new CTF maps, a number of them used to be available before the Steam release, some are coming from Quake, and we added also two brand new CTF maps. They will be downloaded automatically when you join a server with this map, but you can also download them manually from here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/alienarena-cc/files/

Alien Arena Tournaments
We try to have regular tournaments every weekend, "tourneys", as we call them. Just for fun, but challenging!
