The "Double Time" line will not play anymore after a walk order (but for your pleasure can still be triggered by a run order)

In Aliens: Dark Descent, players command a squad of hardened Colonial Marines as they attempt to stop a terrifying new threat on Planet Lethe.
Led as one unit with intuitive controls on keyboard & mouse as well as on controller, the squad takes on real-time combat against iconic Xenomorphs, rogue operatives from the insatiable Weyland-Yutani, and a host of horrifying creatures new to the Alien universe. Using a range of tactical abilities, players will unravel an authentic Alien narrative full of sinister secrets, diving in and exploring the horrors and wonders of a cinematic, narrative campaign.
As they infiltrate large open levels and annihilate enemies with their squad, players use their comms to dispatch orders that are swiftly obeyed by the Marine best-equipped for the situation. They will need to use their wits to navigate the game’s expansive, persistent, reactive levels and complete objectives.
Being cautious and monitoring each Marines’ vitals is essential, for death is permanent for any who falls in combat.
Players can find refuge in their base — the stranded Otago spacecraft. There, they can customize their squad with a selection of different Marine classes. They can level up and specialize each soldier with unique abilities and an arsenal of weapons, armor, and perks. They can also treat wounds and trauma, as well as research new tech to improve their squad even further.

In Aliens: Dark Descent, players take on real-time combat against iconic Xenomorphs and brand new threats. Using a range of tactical abilities, they recruit, level up and command a squad of Colonial Marines as one unit with intuitive controls on keyboard & mouse as well as on controller. Players will need to use their wits to navigate expansive, persistent and reactive levels where death is permanent. This thrilling gameplay takes place as heart-pounding events unfold the horrors and wonders of an authentic Alien narrative through a cinematic campaign full of sinister secrets.
The nightmare begins when the Otago spacecraft crash lands on Moon Lethe. The crew of Colonial Marines investigates the Xenomorph outbreak that activated the Cerberus Protocol—the planetary lockdown that is keeping them stranded. The player is their squad commander, leading them through a nerve-wracking experience against iconic Xenomorph creatures—from Facehuggers to Praetorians, Alien Queens and many more—as well as rogue human commandos and a brand-new threat. A cast of memorable characters set the plot in motion, notably Maeko Hayes, Deputy Administrator at Lethe’s Pioneer Station; Jonas Harper, Sergeant for the US Colonial Marines; and Barbara Pryce, Colony Director for the Weyland-Yutani.

You are the commander, your squad is your weapon
Aliens: Dark Descent features a fully-fledged tactical campaign filled with tense moments, deep strategy, and terrifying revelations. As you explore further, you’ll progress in a complex story and attempt to solve the mysteries of Planet Lethe. Players will manage their squad as a single unit, thanks to innovative and intuitive controls on both keyboard & mouse and controller. Marines react intelligently to orders thanks to a unique Squad Behavior System that dispatches them automatically on the field. When the Xenomorph threat gets overwhelming, they can slow down time at any moment to focus on tactical decisions in the heat of the moment.
Marines are well equipped to alter their environment and deal with hostiles. The flamethrowers can be used to engulf corridors and condemn enemy paths. Suppressive fire is effective at slowing down your enemies and sentry guns are best used to sustain tough encounters while making sure not to run out of resources.
Every run is unique as the Xenomorphs adapt to player behavior and action. Each choice remains unaltered as players explore extensive, open and persistent levels. Managing the squad’s health and stress levels is equally as important as clearing objectives. And remember, when a Marine dies, they are permanently gone for good.
After each mission, players return to their ship, the Otago: a hub to heal and recruit Marines, to research and develop new tech that improves gear, and to retreat during missions. With 5 Marines classes available, assign a role to each of your Marines and create a stronger squad to explore further down and battle against an onslaught of iconic Xenomorph creatures.
