We’re back and we are working on the sixth island, which will be available on all game modes. We have so many ideas and we would like to know your opinions about that. Every 2 or 3 days, we’ll publish a poll and you can participate voting your favourite one.
We want to add 5 or 6 tracks inside this ISLAND

WHAT'S NEW

DEVBLOG #8 - FOLLOW THE FRUITS
First of all sorry for the lack of updates during the last couple of weeks – everything has been ready but some operational gremlins have prevented us from posting them.
We have so many things to set up right! From now on there will be more more frequent updates!

WHAT'S NEW
° Second Online implementation: Championship, Lobby Edit, all Race Modes and Invitations are now all accessible and playable also online!
More power to the host! After the lobby has been created the host will be able to customize the AI difficulty and the total number of tracks (from 1 to 6). The host will be able to pick tracks among all the 21 available in the game (provided that he has unlocked each and every one of them :).
The host will be also able to choose for each track the number of laps (from 1 to 5) and the race mode among all the 5 available (Random Juicer, Juicer, Dragster, Elimination and Elimination Mix) . A "Random" button is available in order to let the game customize the lobby at the host place! Client will be able to join meanwhile the host is preparing the lobby. Clients will be able to race on tracks they haven't already unlocked offline in online mode exclusively (provided the host did it). "Invite Friend" button will open a Steam overlay letting you choose which friend to invite!

- Apple Pikes and Poseimon tracks have been updated and transformed from point to point tracks into full circuits! Apple Pikes now is the longest track of the game :)

ONLINE KNOWN ISSUES
- In order to put the focus on a specific lobby to join on the lobby list the only way to do it is to press TAB button until the focus is over the desired lobby
- Sometimes podium is not displayed
- Sometimes the track overprint shown at the beginning of the race is incorrect
- Pausing the race before ending it will cause instability issues for all players in the same lobby
- Accepting invites in peculiar situations (into other modes, into another lobby, etc..) could cause instability issues for all players in the same lobby
- Disconnection error messages have been improved but are still WIP
- On some tracks the animations are not working properly when playing online, for example the dinosaur “Pear-Ex” in the Dino Juice track ......is Pear-Ex ok for you?:)

- The very first........ O N L I N E implementation!
The player now is able to create lobbies and join browsing them (remember to update the lobby list using "Refresh" button).
The Host is able to select a track, track length, race mode and difficulty. Host and Client can both change the character and the kart preset while waiting for the race to start.
At the moment only two race modes are available (Juicer and Random Juicer) and the only way to change the track selected is to quit the lobby and create another one.
When the Host selects "Ready" a 30 seconds countdown starts and when it finishes the race starts. Clients are able to shorten the countdown to 10 seconds only if every one of them have pressed the "Ready" button.
If a Client disconnects during the race an AI will take control of the kart.
After the race has finished, clients will need to wait on the recap page in order to race again (waiting for the host to return to the lobby).

- Sometimes if a player has been shot by an opponent his kart will lose speed continuously and will be unable to regain it.
- Sometimes clients could start the race with the camera placed under the kart: if that occurs the camera will return to the correct position soon after passing the starting line.
- All disconnection error messages still need to be managed accordingly ("Network Error" text displayed)
- If Host pauses the race also the clients are paused
- Several tracks "easter eggs" are not working online (i.e. Pear-Ex in Dino Juice......is Pear-Ex ok for you? )
- Some online achievements are not working (the ones affecting all modes work on all modes except online).
DEVBLOG #7 - PLAY TOGETHER!
Hi, there! 3DClouds here! As many of you already know we are working hard in order to complete the Online Mode. We are also working on all the community advice and feedback so you can have what you've asked in terms of implementations and new contents :)
We're late but.. Happy Halloween :) So, would you like to play on a track inspired by Halloween? Trick or treat?
We are fully aware that the things to improve are many and of a wide variety... For this reason, we are taking the right time to complete these tasks. Thank you for all the support and discussions opened on our socials and Discord channel to assist us to improve the game.
Kart poll
In the past days, we have asked you which kart you prefer the most from a selection given. Well, the winner is the kart number 6! Honestly, we didn't expect this result 'cause the number 6 is the most similar to the real ones. We thought you'd like a very different shape, but "the player is always right" so we will add it in the game as promised :D

Unlockables System
In the next update (available within a few days) we are going to implement a brand new page that will help you unlock....everything! Throughout this page, you'll find all the unlockables items in the game in order to obtain them all!
Online Mode
There we are, straight to the point! We nearly got the job done. A first release of the Online Mode will be available in the upcoming update together with everything we listed so far.
At the very beginning, everyone will be able to create a lobby and join them.
We decided to implement only the basic flow (for the moment) in order to get as much feedback as possible from you and test the servers' efficiency.
Subsequently, we will implement the rank system, Championship mode, and other game modes. You'll have all the tracks in the game and you can join up to 8 players. The first mode we'll implement will be Random Juicer race.
Going into Online mode the game will load the last custom kart saved and the last character selected, then you will be able to choose another character and/or customize your kart. All unlockables available in this mode will be the ones you have already unlocked playing the game so far.
After this update, we will continue working on the other features.
For example, on the right side of the page, you'll have all the lobbies listed by ranking and number of players (rankings will be available shortly).
These will be the options that will be able to perform the user once the implementation in-game will be complete:
- Search for custom Races
- Search for custom Championships
- Host a custom race or a custom Championship
Upon joining Custom Race and Custom Championship lobbies the player will be put into the most populated lobby with a similar ranking. The host will be able to start a race only if at least a single has joined the lobby. When the Host pushes the "Start" button a 30 seconds countdown is played before the race starts. The countdown is reduced to 10 seconds if all clients available press the "Ready" button.
We're so excited to this update and we can't wait to look for your feedback.

DEVBLOG #6 - WHAT A WEEKEND!
Wow, what a weekend! We haven't managed to answer everyone yet but we will do!! We really want to tell you how the Milan Games Week weekend has been for 3DClouds.
We were lucky enough to have been chosen by the AESVI association as one of the best Italian INDIE's, along with this recognition was a booth at Games Week allowing hundreds if not thousands of players to get their hands on All-Star Fruit Racing.
The feedback was amazing our booth had constant crowds around it and everyone who played loved all aspects of the game from the Garage to the Career and how many game modes there are to try.
Each day we ramped up the fun by organising several direct knockout tournaments, where the winner was crowned "King of the juicer" after the tournament.
The great thing was that the racing was very balanced even when those who has played the game previously where up against rookies.
Thanks to the feedback from our online community we have managed to balance the game and make it always intriguing and competitive.
Even though we are on Steam, we would like to thank Microsoft for showcasing our game in their ID@Xbox stand right next to Cuphead and we also like to thank them for the opportunity to join them and discuss our game on Mixer.
Everyone had fun and even those who did not manage to pass the elimination stage at the first time of asking often reappeared to try once again to win our t-shirts and our gadgets.

There was one thing that everyone kept asking us will be available to play online!
The answer is always the same - yes we are working on it but wait a moment...
Here it is!
We can say that we are at a good point with the game, we are working hard to pull in the timelines for online and during the playtesting sessions in our studio we are having amazing fun and are all acting like kids!!
It's a completely new take on the kart racing genre we can promise you that, strategy, cunning and knowledge are all need to win a race on our tracks. We are also working to improve the game's performance and some small AI & VR fixes, and generally small touchups.
Just in case you didn't hear we released a DEMO version of the game that you can find on our STEAM page, with a special livery of the Milan Games Week. This livery will be given free of charge to all users in the upcoming Early Access upgrade.
We can't wait to play with all of you online - may the fruit be with YOU!
