Hi All,

PLEASE RELOAD STEAM & DOWNLOAD THE LATEST AMF VR UPDATE BEFORE PLAYING

DAY 3 after launch and here comes EA HOTFIX 3! Your game will update to Ver. 0.75. This can be seen in the server country selection menu bottom right corner.

We have been closely listening to the community regarding ways to make the AMF experience better and wanted to react to it quickly. One of the most asked for features by Oculus users is "Snap turning" due to many players only having 2 sensors.

Today, we are pleased to announce that Snap Turning is now available! Please use your RIGHT THUMBSTICK to turn, Enjoy and rack up those kills! ːsteamhappyː

  • Improved the set height function. Join / Host game will not load unless your height is correct to provide the best user experience.

EARLY ACCESS HOTFIX 2 - Oculus Menus +extras

Hi All, we just pushed a new update:

PLEASE RELOAD STEAM & DOWNLOAD LATEST AMF VR UPDATE BEFORE PLAYING

  • Fixed the server refresh issue where sometimes active games are not being shown on the join a game menu
  • Fixed respawn locations so as to not overlap onto other players
  • Added selection for Oculus or Vive in Start Screen



  • Moved Set height, Gun Stock and all settings to front front right of lobby for easier access for Oculus users
  • Added additional selection menu for players choosing either Oculus or Vive

Hi Guys,

This is the Early Access HOTFIX 1 to address some of the issues found during our first 24 hours of release on Early Access.

PLEASE RELOAD STEAM, then download the latest AMF VR Update!

EARLY ACCESS PATCH 1
  • OCULUS CONTROLS MAJOR UPDATE, the controls should now feel natural and intuitive and equal to the HTC Vive control scheme
  • Bots bugging out on Dock map fixed
  • Auto refresh function for games in play. No need to pound the refresh button anymore :)
  • Bug for not being able to exit the victory room on some maps fixed
    Game guide updated to reflect the new Oculus Touch controls

We wanted to address a few common questions from new users:

FAQ:
Q1: Why is the menu always off screen or blocking my view?
A1: AMF has an intuitive Menu System.
Press the Menu button (Y or B on Oculus) on either controller to Open.
Hold down TRIGGER on the Globe to move Menu Location.

Q2: The background music is annoying
A2: You may turn off the background music in the in-game menu system under "BGM"

Q3: The Oculus controls don't seem to work
A3: The Oculus controls have been patched to match the Vive Controls. Please update the game to its' newest release, please see game guide for details: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1139258639

Q3: Why do I keep losing tracking when playing AMF using Oculus?
A4: Currently AMF only supports 360 tracking and 3 sensors are required. This is stated in the game requirements. for 2 sensor users we strongly recommend putting one sensor in the front and one in the back, we plan to add snap turning in a future update.

AMF VR LAUNCH WEEKEND COMPETITION!!

ALPHA MIKE FOXTROT VR EARLY ACCESS RELEASES ON STEAM!

We are grateful and honored to be able to announce ALPHA MIKE FOXTROT VR (AMF VR) on Steam Early Access today!

BIG Thank you to great help provided by the few hundred Beta Testers during these 6 weeks to help enhance and provide feedback to make this release possible.

EA release will feature BOTs, 9 playable maps and 4 game modes as well as support for both HTC Vive and Oculus Rift CV1 headsets



The dev team will be continuously updating the game with more features and other fixes as we move forward from this point and new players can check our previous updates for the speed and quantity of updates our team puts out on a regular basis. For now, please take a look at the hotfixes and updates for Early Access Release:

  • Oculus Support (Turn on Oculus Support on the back wall in the lobby) Note: 360 tracking and 3 sensors is required!

Patch Notes for Upcoming BETA Weekend 6 - BOTS ADDED!!


These are the current fixes and updates for upcoming BETA Weekend 6, we are still working on some additions:

New Feature:
Added AI Bots (Version 0.10) - Due to popular demand through the survey results, bots was the top requested feature you wanted included in AMF, so here you go!
The team has worked hard this week and pleased to deliver the brand new Bots playmode as promised (Early Version). Please note this is nowhere near finished and just the beginning! :)

How to start a BOT game:
1) Start a game using the “Classic” (All Weapons) Game play mode with 2, 4, 6 or 8 players either TDM or DM
2) Bots will spawn accordingly once the game starts by pulling both triggers with the menu open. Players are still free to chat and wait for other players without the bots before then.
3) If a new player hops into the server, one of the bots will be replaced.

Current limitations:

  • Bots are currently available on ALL maps except for Dock, Ruins and Dugouts.
  • Bots are currently available in Classic mode only (not available for Pistol / Knife / Knife only modes)
  • Bots’ kill score will not show on the Scoreboard, only players’ scores will show
  • The difficulty level is set to “Standard”, different levels will be coming soon.
  • Look forward to more bot features as we continue to make the game better!


Framework:

BETA WEEKEND 5 - HAPPY HALLOWEEN!


Hi All,

Want to thank everyone again for a wonderful Halloween Weekend and Beta Weekend 5! This weekend brought new updates for gun stock users and the new Pistol / Knife only & Knife only modes. We hope all the Beta testers had a great time!

Patch Notes for Upcoming BETA Weekend 5

Hi Guys,

The team has been hard at work again this week and looking forward to seeing everybody for BETA WEEKEND 5!
Here are the patch notes and hotfixes for this weekend:

Framework

  • Further increased network stability for login and reduced chance of dropout during games
  • Fixed Respawning issue in Prison and Dock maps
  • Hand no longer gets stuck if dragging through walls
  • Blood Effects Increased
  • Yes No selection added to ending room to prevent accidental quitting
  • Added Full Gun Stock Support, players should notice that gun smoothing for stock players has been dramatically reduced. The option is now available in the lobby back wall.

  • Added Knife only and Pistol / Knife only Game Modes to ALL Maps, pls note the new selection is available on the Map Selection menu. Map selection has now been moved to the top instead.


Weapons

  • Knives can now be flipped around to a horizontal slashing grip position! This should allow slashing to be more effective in combat. While holding the knife, press PAD DOWN to switch the stance.

  • Smoke Grenades are now available! A helpful weapon when running for cover or creating a distraction.You make select it from the lobby before joining a game.

FUN-FILLED BETA WEEKEND 4!



Hi Guys,

Thank you again for a fun-filled BETA Weekend 4! This week brought some adjustments to game play including falling off edges, new cars in the City and the new grip to grab foregrip function. Stock support seems to be improving quite well too. We are pleased to receive all the feedback from everybody as we progress step by step towards the AMF Early Access Date.

These are the current fixes and updates for upcoming BETA Weekend 4, we are still working on some additions:

Framework

  • Server Stability performance upgrades
  • Twitching Animation due to synchronization upgraded
  • Server Country selection moved into Lobby for easy switching
  • New More Accurate Set Height Menu now includes enter your own height
  • Headlock control option removed, now all movement will be non-headlock
  • Body respawning into control console in lobby fixed
  • Respawning inside another person’s avatar fixed
  • Haptic feedback added when touching buttons in lobby
  • New Walk animation
  • New Run animation
  • Doppelganger effect fixed
  • Lobby 1v1 - 4v4 changed to 2,4,6,8 players menu
  • Kill Feed moved to upper left corner to prevent blocking view, also added UI Curving
  • Number of people and Show host icon moved to top right corner of view in-game


Controls:

  • Added Grip to Grab Foregrip Function (Selection in Lobby), predominantly for gun stock users
  • Walking and Running sound volumes reduced
  • Leaning walking hand back >90 degrees causes avatar to walk backwards
  • Knives should be easier to grab now



Knife Mechanics:

    NEW Knife mechanics to bring out the Wolverine in you & reduce kill trading!
  • Knife physics now includes Stab, Slash, Throw
  • Running and Stabbing only reduces health by 20% per knife
  • Stabbing requires 5 hits to kill
  • Slashing deducts damage depending how much of the enemy body is slashed, each area 20% damage, double with 2 knives
  • Throwing does the most damage, landing 2 knives to the body kills the enemy, 1 to the head
  • Stab, Slash, Throwing a knife to the head is an instant kill


Gun Mechanics:

  • Reduced Weapon Smoothing to match forehand, predominantly for gun stock users
  • Weapon floating in front when avatar respawns due to quick grabbing fixed
  • Kriss Vector rebalancing
  • Sniper Gun Zeroing Fixed
  • PDR graphics look less cartoonish
  • Pistol on back graphics fixed
  • Holosight red circle profile lines reduced on SMG, PDR, Sci-Fi
  • Grenade damage increased 20%


Maps:

  • Added running and falling off edges Hanger
  • Added running and falling off edges Hanger AfterDark
  • Added running and falling off edges Slum (WIP)
  • Added running and falling off edges Ruins
  • New Cars in City
  • New Cars in City Nightfall
