Small but great update incoming!

There was a certain need for splitting up the manual and auto save game. Guess what happened?

Features

  • Add separate load submenu
  • New submenu shows 2 savegames with the corresponding nick and timestamp

While this is fully implemented for the pause menu already, the manual savegame is still loaded from the main menu initially. Feel free to use the pause menu load option right away then. In most of the cases the manual save should be the right one anyway, shouldn't it?

  • Start the game in resizeable windowed mode

You can now play in a small window beside your opened browser or discord, yeah! Works great!

What lasts long always becomes good! Finally, there's something like a quest tracker.

Features

  • Add quest tracker on the upper right, so that you're always aware, what the next steps are

Still, it might make sense to listen to the NPCs during the dialogues, though.

Changes/Improvements:

  • Change window management to exclusive fullscreen instead of borderless to improve performance
  • Credit more sound creators in main menu
  • Update versions in end credits

  • Elder Cheeks Nilson is now accepting his dropped weapon, even when you equipped the second already
  • Increased vendor chest money loot in hardmode (275->400)


Misc

  • Add unstuck button to pause menu (can be executed as often as needed)

Some bigger changes come with this update.

Features

  • Add hardmode option with increased stats, damage and reduced cooldowns for bosses
  • Add permadeath option for a new game
  • Add hardmode and permadeath to leaderboard overview

You can reach the hardmode either via the leaderboard for boss retries or in the main menu for a new game.
Permadeath is only available for a new game, though.


Changes/Improvements

  • Increase cooldown (15->30) + mana cost (10->25) for Magic LaserBeam
  • Auto equip tree branch in graveyard melee tutorial on pickup
  • Make blacksmith outcome slot unavailable unless a recipe was crafted
  • Make inventory menu closeable with inventory shortcut (I button) # only outside the tutorial
  • Reduce stun duration of Ducks SqueakAttack (3->1s)
  • Improve MagicLandMine handling


Bugfixes

  • Avoid moving vendor potions to hotbar directly
  • Avoid losing vendor potions during drag and drop
  • Fix damage calculation of Ducks picking attack
  • Fix wrong damage calculation for MagicLandMine

Give the LandMine a try, its much more worth it than before. Bada boom!

I've added some small improvements to the vendor:

  • Decrease auto restock timer from 10 to 5min
  • Auto restock after each boss fight in arena
  • Increase vendor inventory slots from 42 to 51 to improve selling possibility

  • Fixed wrong behavior of loadout armor slots, where you were able to put wrong armor parts and even weapons in the wrong slot under specific conditions
