PROLOGUE
Drake, Anthony and Ashley are treasure hunters around the world, originally from the United States. They are engaged in this business not so long ago, that it would not be possible to call them professionals, but quite successfully. On the wave of their success, they decided to visit the most dangerous place among the treasure hunters - the Minotaur Labyrinth. They managed find information about it only in the very depths of the Internet. According to known data, the entrance to the labyrinth can not be found by your own, unless it calls for you.
Crete, Greece
GREECE
Once in Greece, they went to the island of Crete in the city of Heraklion. It is there, according to the data, the alleged location of the labyrinth. 4 days they could not find the entrance, but one early morning they managed to find it where they believed they had been checked several times. At some point they already wanted to abandon their venture, but something unknown forced them to come inside. Thirst for profit or fame?
Entering the labyrinth, they decided to split up. Each of them had a flashlight, chalk and radio. Among other things, Drake had a first aid kit, and Anthony had a PM pistol, which he inherited from his father.

ASHLEY
After a small search, Ashley managed to find the mysterious key, but she was not very careful and accidentally awakened the skeleton. She was very frightened and tried to escape from him. When she already thought that the skeleton was behind her, she was at a dead end, where in the last moments, the skeleton managed to sink the sword into her eye.
ANTHONY
A woman's cry was heard all over the labyrinth. Anthony called Ashley on the radio, but she did not answer. They were long in love with each other and after this trip, Anthony planned to marry her, and on the found treasures arrange an incredible wedding. At one point, all of Anthony's dreams were destroyed. He had been trying to find her for a long time, but because of the panic he was only more lost. Going too deep, he ran into the Minotaur. The Minotaur saw Anthony lost hope and did not try to catch him. He just followed him, driving him crazy. Anthony could not resist, took the gun in his hand and shot himself in the head.
DRAKE
The shot was heard all over the labyrinth. Drake already knew what had happened. He tried to go back, but the labyrinth seemed to only confuse him more. It seemed to him that he was walking in circles, about the same place. At one point he found a grate, which leads upstairs from the labyrinth. But no matter how much he tried to break it or shout, no one came to help. For almost twenty-four hours he sat in such despair, he no longer knew what to do. Drake slowly, with trembling hands, untied his shoelaces from his shoes, tied a noose on the grate and hung himself.

Right now we are releasing a test branch for Ancient Guardian, in which you can test the second act! It is available to everyone to go to it, you only need to enable it in the settings of the game on Steam, in the "Beta" tab. We hope that thanks to your help and feedback, we will be able to make the second level incredibly cool! We will create on the forum a separate topic for the second level discussions, where you can share your impressions and guide us in the right direction.
Also today we will release a patch on the main branch. He will add a New Year's cap for the Minotaur and some fixes.
Ancient Guardian one year on Steam!
Good day, dear friends!
Today exactly one year as our game Ancient Guardian was released on Steam, so we wanted to share some thoughts on this matter. For us it was a pleasant bonus of its sale, which, in conjunction with the feedback and activity of users, motivated us to continue developing. Of course, there were negative moments, but they would not like to dwell on the eve of the New Year, let's just say that any experience, especially negative, is still experience, the main thing is that we learn from our mistakes and do not repeat them in the future.
For this year, Ancient Guardian has undergone many changes, ranging from minor graphics changes to significant changes in the gameplay and optimization. Also, the promised multiplayer and the second level began to appear. Unfortunately, we did not have time to do everything that was planned, for example, VR. But we fulfilled certain promises - Steam cards, more content, improved visual and technical components. And we will not dwell on this, the development continues and in fact it did not stop.
Also wanted to report on the replenishment of our ranks. We managed to find an excellent modeler - Sasha. For all the time he worked with him, there was no negative experience and we hope that this will continue) What does this mean? This means that we can accelerate the development, as well as improve the quality of models. One shot of two birds with one stone!
What are your plans for 2018? Complete the second level and release the first phase of multiplayer at least.
When will the project be released in the release of their early access? When its ready, neither more nor less.

Results of testing the second level
Hello, we would like to share the results of testing the second act.
Decrease the area of the level. At the moment it is quite large, so the player has to run a lot. Also, too much distance from the start to the first pedestals and the distance between them is too large.
Balance the burning time of the torch. At the second level, instead of the flashlight, the hero has a torch that illuminates the path, but also drives away the different creatures from player.
To think over the transitions through the water. No comments.
More diverse monsters. And also work on AI.
Optimization.
Forest revitalization, more content, color correction.
More interactive, random events.
In general, as usual there are a lot of work, but we are not discouraged, because in the end we will be able to give a quality level that will be of interest to the player.
