Added Chaos mode. Chaos mode is a game modifier that randomizes stage order and allows all enemies to spawn on each stage. The goal of the mode is to provide more varied runs for experienced players. It also results in fun or silly scenarios such as the Giant trying to navigate the Cathedral.
Balance:
Wayfarer
Double Barrel damage increased from 1.4x -> 1.8x base damage per shot
Slicing Dash damage increased from 2.0x -> 2.4x base damage
Azulmancer
Azul Wall damage increased from 1.0x -> 1.2x base damage per hit
Reduced cooldown of Azul Eruption from 10s -> 8s

v1.04 is live
Patch Notes
Features:
The How to Play page has been completely reworked. Most of the information has been condensed and primary game systems such as instability and mutations have a more intuitive explanation now. New sections have been added.
The How to Play page can now be opened from the pause menu in game.
Added 4 new items. All four start unlocked, and full descriptions can be found in the journal.
Added a new uncommon item, the Redwood Pipe.
Added a new rare item, the Glowstone Torch.
Added a new azul item, the Goblet of Communion.
Added a new azul item, the Bone Scythe.
Added a new rare mutation, Chromatic.
Added a new stage prop, the Collector's Shop. Choose between two items when purchasing from the shop.
Added a new mechanic to the final boss when starting the encounter after looping.
Bug Fixes:
Fixed a bug causing the Hero of Azul achievement to not trigger.
Misc:
Removed the lights from the firestorm and cleansing wand static projectiles as the lights were causing substantial performance issues.
Swapped the Azul item Collector's Display for a Collector's Shop in the Forum.
v1.03 is Live
Patch Notes
Features:
Added 11 steam achievements - These are mostly late game challenges to give some additional goals after you have beaten the final boss a couple of times.
Mob respawner - After a period of time, inactive mobs will now respawn at active spawn nodes near your location. This is primarily for the Cathedral, as mobs would get very far behind the player while the population cap was reached, resulting in poor performance and no new mobs spawning.
Added a revert changes button to the settings menu.
Added scroll bars to the settings menu that should prevent a hard lock if the image scale is set too high.
Changes will now revert on exiting the settings menu without saving.
Balance:
Increased health regen of the gnarled root from 2 -> 5 hp/s (Note, the gnarled root previously granted a hidden 1% of max health regen per second. This has been removed in this patch. With the change, the root is much better early game and no longer outshines higher tier items late game.)
Bug Fixes:
Fixed a rare crash on changing stages
Armor polish and Iron Amulet now correctly display their stats
Cleaned up the stat description of items to make them more consistent with each other
Misc:
Added a graphics settings reset keybind. In the main menu, pressing LAlt + F2 will reset graphics settings to default. If for some reason you change scaling or the screen size to an incompatible settings, this allows you to get the game working again without deleting your progress.
v1.02 is live
Features:
Added mouse button keybind support.
Added a character stats tooltip. Mousing over your health globe will show some basic stats such as base damage and bleed chance. For controller users, pausing the game will also bring the menu up.
Balance Changes:
Vampiric Mutation life steal reduced from 300% -> 200% of damage dealt.
Titanic Mutation health increase reduced from +50% -> +40%
Iron amulet armor increased from +10 -> +15
Armor Polish resistance increased from +15 -> +20
Increased base armor and resistance of melee characters (Wayfarer, Marauder, and Nomad)
Field ration activation time reduced from 1.5s -> 1.0s
Bug fixes:
Falling off the map will now return you to the nearest spawn node
Azul items should now show proper keybinds on pickup
Button prompts on props (chests, shrines, etc...) should no longer be hidden by terrain
Azul Orb plinths in the Temple to the Red Lady should now properly display “collect reward” instead of “purchase”
Post-Release Plans
Hello everyone!
It’s been a crazy couple of days for us! A huge thanks to everyone who has been giving us feedback on the Cosmic Spud discord and in the forums here. We have gotten quite a few questions about future plans, so I wanted to give a quick update on the major items we are working on right now.
Future Updates
As soon as possible:
Steam achievements and better steam integration.
Rework the How to Play section to be easier to understand/have less text (For now, check out this guide if you are struggling)
Balance pass based on community feedback and our own observations.
If Feasible:
Linux Build. The main hurdle here is testing. If anyone is interested in helping out, head over to the Cosmic Spud discord and shoot me a message.
First Content Update:
Beastman Shaman enemy
New mutations, particularly rares
New Azul and rare items
New props and secrets
Additional prebuilt areas for existing stages
We have plans for some bigger updates down the road, but I want to focus on finishing the ASAP section before I start detailing out too much. We should also have a minor patch out at the end of the week to address some minor bugs and mutation balance. This has been a fantastic experience so far, and I look forward to seeing more crazy builds and god runs!

Ancient is OUT NOW!
We are so glad to be able to say that we're done! Ancient: Legacy of Azul is now out! Thank you so much for your support along the way and we look forward to hearing your thoughts on our game.
We plan on having a bundle including both the soundtrack and game, though the soundtrack for Ancient will not be available until February 7th. We plan on making this a "must purchase together" type of bundle with a 20% discount. Because the soundtrack won't be available right away, we will be making this bundle a "complete the set" bundle allowing those who purchase the game to be able and complete their bundle and receive the discount. We will be running it like this for a least a week to allow early purchasers a chance to get the OST at a discount if they so desire and then transition to the "must purchase together" at a later date.
Again, thank you so much for your support. We look forward to making more of our projects a reality in the future,
