Andromeda: Rebirth of Humanity

Update 1.1.8 Released

Andromeda starmap white square fixed.
Reflection Quality dropdown added in settings with 6 settings from "Off" to "Very High" (2048x2048).
Reflection performance improved by making it use one reflection probe and passing it around, using half the RAM.
Citadel radar disk not receiving light fixed.
Earth being white fixed.

Update 1.1.7 Released

This update is mainly to fix bugs from the engine upgrade. Some of these might already have been listed in the "Quick fix" patch that was only released on Steam.

Crashing caused by engine upgrade fixed. (hopefully)

Sleazy Steve's shop not showing prices fixed.

Some objects rendering blue fixed.

Baked shadows on ship interior being messed up fixed.

Missiles and other misc. shaders improved.

Stellar Rep EXP fixed.

Fixed the resource trackers on the bottom to display how much was earned offline.

Reflections on ships adjusted.

Planet Destruction and Creation lowered to 5 minutes in starter.

Null reference exception when attempting to increase the level of a leader without a planet selected fixed.

Performance improved significantly by disabling shadows that somehow got enabled from the engine update in the last build. It looks the same with and without shadows since you never really see shadows cast on other objects.

Planet creation and destruction timer in the starter system changed to 5 minutes.

Bug where starter system planets didn't get specialty slots fixed.

Bug where destroying a planet while viewing it wouldn't update that the planet was removed till you left the solar system and came back fixed.

Bug where planets mid creation could have warnings like "No Storage" fixed.

Client Modified to fix a crash at logout

Quick fix for crash upon logout, sleazy steve UI bug fixed, and a few other small fixes.

Update 1.1.6 Released - Engine Update

This Update mostly updates the game engine to the latest version and hopefully fixes all the stuff that broke during the update.
The goal with the engine update was to fix UI scrolling offscreen on some devices, but I'm sure it includes lots of other improvements on the engine side.

Other changes:
Advanced Detectors changed from finding Ore on all slots on a planet to:
Slots with Mines refill Ore.
Slots with Quarries refill Quartz.
Slots with Gem Harvesters refill Gems.
Slots with Gas Harvesters refill Gas.

Mining ship build cost changed to not require Super Alloy.

Bazaar text typos fixed.

Season 2 started! Update 1.1.5 Released.

I'm making the game seasonal and doing a server reset for season 2 since the player count is pretty low and tons of people are requesting a reset.
The seasons will be really long, like a year or more since it's the type of game it is. I'm going to add stuff that is carried over from one season to another such as titles to lessen the feeling of "What's the point of doing anything if it's all going to be lost", and the starter system will be more customizable and kept between seasons. Existing alliances will also be kept. Time Crystals purchased will also be re-added.

I'm not just doing a server reset though, a lot of work has been put into the update that will come with it.
The reset will come with the 1.1.5 update which adds:
Passive credit income added back.
Stellar Rep leveling reworked to cost Credits since any positive income will become Credits now. (So Honorariums removed)
Reworked worker/tourist growth to not use an invisible cap and show "Max Tourists" gained from the Standard of Living bonus on the Resort itself.
Easier ship leveling.
Anti-bot screen fixed so logging out can't bypass it.
Planets creatable and destroyable in starter system up to 11 planets. (which will be carried over from one season to another.)
Citadel nerfed a little bit.
The "Alien Homeworld" raid made easier.
Ease of use features like the bazaar screen having arrows to scroll between resource types.
Several other UIs given a bit of love.

Hopefully it revitalizes the game. It's definitely at it's best when the server is fresh. (edited)

Update 1.1.4 Released!

Changelog:
Ship weapon and module slot counts fixed on production screen.
Worker counts on the corp stats rounded to 2 digits instead of 4.
Alien ships not staying unlocked fixed.
Bug fixed where Gas Extractor addon 3 doesn't show the cost.
Sound effect added for when lightning beam is activated.
Nuke and ship explosions sounds swapped so nukes have the most powerful explosion sound.
Bug fixed where the close screen sound tried to play after the guide was closed and the sound source was disabled.
Bug where tab to open star and plant count on the starmap stays enabled after opening the slide-out fixed.
Inconsistencies with habitat and resort max population numbers being 4.5m instead of 45m on building stats screen fixed.
Guide updated to fix some of the vestigial instructions that are no longer good advice, like building a greenhouse early.
I made a new page on the "Guides" screen that has buttons to open the click by click tutorials that play when you first start the game, and I merged some guides into each other to free up space.
Click by click Tutorial added to help new people get started.
Orbital slot specialties added.
More music added.
Automated weekly server maint added.
Block list not masking properly fixed.
Fleet icon not disabling when a new fleet is selected fixed.
Bug where the first mission entry on the campaign screen wasn't always enabled and extra padding at the top of the missions screen fixed.

1.1.3 Released!

Chapter 2 of the campaign and the second raid added.
Most alien ships buildable.
Some new alien ships added to fill out the alien ship roster.
NPC fleet generation made a little smarter by making it not add Energy Cores on ships that don't have any use for energy.
I got tired of how you couldn't double click an asteroid to access the "return to starter planet" and other navigation arrows, so I made double clicking asteroids open the planet stats screen just like a normal planet.
Bug fixed where Military Budget still showed that it was costing even when the ship was mothballed fixed.
EMP ship lightning weapon damage boost raised from 10% to 20%, and a bug where Lightning Beam wasn't being boosted fixed.
Small visual improvement: Engines hand tweaked for each individual ship to look as good as possible and clip with the ship body less. Randomization added to make the engine effects look more natural and less perfect. Looks better with no performance loss.
Memory improvements to reduce crashing on low RAM devices.
Error with terraforming trying to set the atmosphere color with atmospheres disabled in settings fixed.
Max Energy added to ship stats screen.
Citadel Damage from x8 to x10.
Lots of smaller bugfixes I never wrote down.

Update 1.1.2 Released!

Update 1.1.2 Released on 9/8/21:

Reflections added to ships and planets.

Lighting overhauled to be much darker and more realistic.

Text clickable on top bar and planet stats screen with either help boxes or convenience actions.
I plan on making text on more screens clickable in future updates.

Ship Deck reflections being cleared when opening and closing the logs screen and other screens fixed.

Planet cache system reworked.

Dead land units showing up in inventory fixed.

AI not using focus fire on the correct ships fixed. Another layer of AI Focus fire decision making added, prioritizing ships that are using repair or shield beam rather than just lowest HP.

Comet gas effect improved.

Max zoom distances increased so you can zoom in way closer than you would ever want to.

Quartz and Rhodium asteroids added.

Click the Star Name on the top bar or in the planet stats screen to jump straight to the star on the starmap.

PvP Shield saying 1 hour cooldown but having an 11 hour cooldown fixed.
I'm changing it to 23 hours with a 1 hour cooldown instead of 24 so it could be re-upped at the same time the next day, which makes more sense to me.

Ads fixed. (Android Only)

"Go to" button on the fleet screen fixed to go to the star the fleet is at instead of saying it's not orbiting a planet.

Fleet commanders being assigned to multiple fleets fixed.

"Recruit Leader" button changed into just "Leaders" and it now opens a leader inventory similar to the land unit inventory where you can see how many of each type there is and select what type you're viewing on the left. The recruit leader option is now at the bottom of that screen.

Alien raid final planet being pitch black fixed. Alien raid planets orbits broken up a bit to make the systems look better.

Behind the scenes audio bug fixed.

Unity updated to 2021.1.20.
