Angeldust v3.33 increases the game world drawing speed three- to fourfold! Expect much better interactivity while building in complex areas, and while loading in existing builds. It's a very noticeable performance improvement without any downsides.
Seeing double
A biggie: previous Angeldust versions used to render on-screen 2D sprites twice. Why? I don't know. In Angeldust v3.33 everything is rendered just once, like it should. This improves performance and removes a lot of weird artifacts around sprite edges. The only downside is that you can no longer seemingly ride two horses at once. But one horse should be enough for anyone!
Touch tips
Angeldust v3.33 introduces a few user interface improvements for new players that play on a touchscreen. The 'menu grid' icon will now glow, bounce and spark until it's pressed. Hopefully this helps new players discover the inventory screen and the in-game shop. Speaking of which, the 'Shop' button now has a giant bouncing coin and arrow above it as long as nothing been bought. Let's go shopping!
Map this!
In a world-first, our well-known community member obi-, has contributed some code for Angeldust v3.33. The first feature they worked on is that mimics and photon mimics now appear on the world map. Builders, rejoice!
Block picker assignment
Another cool, new obi- feature is that you can now assign blocks to your hotbar slots using the block picker. Open the inventory grid, and double click, double tap or double 'number key' on the keyboard to go back in-game. Then use the golden block picker item to assign directly to the hotbar slot. Builders, rejoice once more!
Additional changes
Unlockable cell/object 'yellow glow' hints now fade out when not in-game
User interface text bounces and color pulses now share a global timer
Decals (stickers) on the bottom of blocks now follow the same logic as decals on top of blocks

Angeldust v3.32 only exists to fix a movement bug that snuck into the previous update. You can now once again take small steps instead of always taking a double-sized step. Wow, amazing!

Let's go shopping!
Most blocks and objects now only cost 100 coins! And I redesigned the in-game item shop—behold this amazingly annotated image:

Cheap blocks and objects (100 coins!) are now condensed into a grid for a better overview and to make the scroll bar actually useful.
Buying a cheap block or object no longer triggers a fullscreen banner popup, so you can just buy everything you need in an instant.
Purchases now show up under the top right coin counter, and the coin counter will now finally settle and 'ka-ching' in the shop and inventory screens.
Drawings and paintings have been merged into one category, and their titles are now much shorter and to the point.
Most irrelevant player details like (full) health and sprinting status are now hidden in the shop.
The 'filter by color' icon now actually shows colors… wow!
Gonna give 'm reason to be bouncing!
In Angeldust v3.32 some text and icons will bounce up and down to draw attention. Don't worry—it's done with a lot of taste and tact. In fact, it makes the game feel much more alive and fun!
In more text-related news: some input fields now have semitransparent placeholder text.

Angeldust v3.31 brings placeable block decorations like plants, flowers, rocks and mushrooms. You can stick these to the side of any block or object to make nicer vegetation, flower fields, tree roots and much more. Here's a mysterious, overgrown temple built by Loki The Witful showcasing the feature:
Block decorations also widen the top or bottom of column blocks. And there is a special 'empty decoration' that you can use to place above and hide naturally occurring grass, plants and rocks. This finally allows you to create kempt gardens.
Panda loves the bush and leaves
The 'dense bush' no longer looks square at its bottom. And both the dense bush and leaves objects will now move along with the natural, big foliage in the game world so that they blend in much better. Paxanima trees have never looked better than this:
Double tap
Angeldust used to 'eat' short movement inputs on keyboard and game controllers if you were already moving. That's fixed now—any additional movement taps while already moving will now be processed. Good news for all you W+M1'ers.

Web of wonder
Since quite some time you can claim infinitely many lands in Angeldust on a single account. The Angeldust website at PlayAngeldust.com now has a 'Land' section where you can manage the order and visibility of all your land claims.
Angeldust v3.31 adds Vietnamese language support. It is far from perfect at the moment, but it's a starting point to get players from Vietnam up to speed with the game. If you speak English and Vietnamese, please get in touch to help improve the translation:
Fast as lightning
If you're playing on a slower device you will notice and appreciate Angeldust v3.31's faster building feedback when placing blocks. Using a bit of magic this reduces the new block time-to-draw from multiple milliseconds to 'instant'.
Lights, camera, … snow!
You can now set the cinematic time independently of precipitation. Make it snow at night! Have clear skies in the morning! This offers maximal flexibility to content creators for capturing the perfect picture or video:
Or combine this with the 'in-game' cinematic mode to always play in the rain or snow. It's comfy!
