Patch Alpha 2.06

Animallica Alpha v2.06 is live:



  • Achievements fixed and descriptions updated;
  • Drop & Collect exploit fix (achievement related);
  • Recipe bugfixes: recipe is no longer visible when event animations are running and when tutorial screens are active. Fixed the bug where the pinned recipe changed when the player traveled to other areas;
  • Companions fix: When player enters a building, the companions will wait outside and they are no longer able to climb the roofs.
  • Crosshair color fix;
  • Horse unmount bugfix;
  • Save game bugfix;

Patch Alpha 2.05

Animallica Alpha v2.05 is live:



  • Achievements are now checked every 2 minutes. Before, the time was set on 15 minutes;
  • Pinned recipe is now hidden on all menus and while using the travel balloon;
  • GameTooltip is how hidden while using the Hide UI feature (H key);
  • QuickSlot bug causing a complete freeze after loading has been fixed;
  • Campfire & ritual fire optimized;
  • Enemy AI modified: if you climb on high ground where they cannot reach you, they will not freeze anymore and they will go to their original position after a while;
  • The random bug that was causing items to disappear from containers is now fixed;
  • Fixed the problem where animals were walking through the custom containers and several craftable buildings.

Patch Alpha 2.04

Animallica Alpha v2.04 is live:



  • Recipe is now being deactivated when UI is hidden;
  • Fixed bug which caused the recipe not to update properly following an item craft;
  • Fixed the bug that did not allowed the player to equip the boots. You can also use shift+left mouse click to: equip armor, send items back and forth to containers, or equip items in quickbar;
  • Fixed the bug that sometimes was causing the game to stop when loading.

Animallica Alpha v2.03 is live:



    <*>Craftable items recipes are now visible directly from the main screen. How it works: on the craft panel, we placed two buttons. One is “pin” for adding the recipe to the main screen so you can see what you need to gather when you want to craft something. The second button, “unpin”, is found on the same panel, and it removes the recipe info from the main screen. Please take note that only one recipe can be active;
    <*>Stats info bars are also available from inventory;
    <*>Mouse scroll also change horse speed as 1,2,3 keys do;
    <*>New music in the Starting Area;
    <*>New animations and save position for the elevator in Land Base;

    Patch Alpha 2.02

    Hello everyone,

    Animallica Alpha v2.02 is live:



    • Campfire and Ritualfire problem fixed. Every time the player traveled back and forth to the location where those fires were placed, they were multiplied. So, if the fire looked very bright it was because dozens or hundreds of fires were overlapping. This issue caused major FPS drops;
    • Several scenes optimized for a better performance;
    • Dachshund female bug fixed;
    • Item dismantle for items in containers has been temporarily disabled;
    • Fixed the problem with the inventory slots that were white in some occasions.
    • Fixed rare bug when the game got stuck at 100% during loading;

    Patch Alpha 2.01

    Hello everyone,

    Animallica Alpha v2.01 is live:



    • Fixed the bug where the companions were frozen after activating follow mode;
    • Fixed a visual bug at Game Settings;
    • Key bindings now work as it should;
    • Linked the horse camera to mouse sensitivity settings;
    • Faster horse mount and unmount;
    • Screen resolutions are now working properly in fullscreen and windowed mode. We recommend you to set up the resolution from the starting game window (here you can also chose your display);
    • ALT+TAB is not crashing the game anymore;
    • ALT now works as it should - switches among the last two used items on the quickbar;
    • Fixed save last used quick slot;
    • Changed page 6 from help screen;
    • Water drops now don't obstruct your view when swimming;
    • Decreased lightshafts radius and intensity;
    • Hopefully fixed the campfire/ritual fire bug.Even with the fix you will still have it in your save game. To get rid of it you will have to destroy with a hammer all the instances of that campfire that spawned on top of eachother or start a new game.
    • Other small fixes and adjustments;
    • Inventory and quickbar slots now automatically stack.

    Alpha 2.0 Update is here!!!

    Hello everyone,

    After many sleepless weeks, we proudly present Animallica Alpha 2.0 Update!!!

    We want to apologize for the countless delays, upgrading the project to the new Unity engine was much harder than we expected. We basically had to re-write most of the code, replace the terrain shaders, sky, water, game interface, menus, icons. The volume of work for us it was like creating an entirely new game in just 3 months.

    Because of all these changes, importing an old save game is not viable, so you will have to start a new game.

    What's new:




    • Added several new locations with specific animals;
    • Slow startup issue has been fixed, the wait time was reduced to a few seconds;
    • RAM usage is now reduced by 30%, even more in some areas;
    • Completely rewritten save/load module;
    • Implemented asset bundle;
    • New menu with several new options for graphics (brightness, contrast, AA), rebind keys option, mouse sensitivity settings;
    • Inventory UI and Game UI remodeled with a new and modern look and better functionality;
    • All controls can now be set from the settings menu;
    • Dropdown menu for items with right mouse click that adds several functionalities;
    • Hundreds of icons changed;
    • A simple tutorial for beginners;
    • Simple weapons impact camera effect;
    • New terrain shaders;
    • New sky and water;
    • New Music for several scenes;
    • Several new animations;
    • Horse animations and functionality improvements;
    • Changed vSync structure;
    • Some items can now be dismantled.


    We are not quite where we wanted to be when we started working this update, but we should get there with the next three updates mostly focused on new content, performance improvements and bug fixes, hopefully before Christmas.

    Animallica is moving to Alpha 2.0!

    Hello everyone,

    We are very excited to let you know that two weeks ago we started working on the Unity engine update that will greatly improve the Animallica experience with better graphics, performance, gameplay and new content!

    The old engine had some limits, but with the last update they will be removed and this will allow us to add much more content than we did before.

    We estimate that this update will be live in 2-3 weeks. Until then, we’ll keep you posted with the progress on our Facebook page, Youtube channel, Community forum.

    NOTE: Regarding Vertical Sync, according to Unity's documentation

    The number of VSyncs that should pass between each frame. Use 'Don't Sync' (0) to not wait for VSync. Value must be 0, 1 or 2.

    By default, Animallica has vertical sync 0 (off).
