Sightings of some weird creatures were registered. The creatures's names are almost identical: Дед_Мороз in the Zone sector known by code name "Ru" and Grandfather_Frost in the sectors known as Steam PVE and Steam PVP. The names may have variations such as Дед_Мороз2, Grandfather_Frost2 etc. Our agent attempted to contact them and this is what he reports:
- The creatures are immune to any kind of effects and any weapons - They do not accept any trade offers - Their speech and behaviour suggests that they are human beings, or very good copies thereof - They appear in random spots of the Zone, drop to the ground various items that can be used by stalkers and disappear - Note: Looks like all of them belong to the same clan called "KM". What does it mean? Kilometers? Killer Mutants? Our deciphering department is still working on that question.
Our secret service agent suggested that those creatures may be one of the embodiments of the so-called "Masters of the Zone". However, we suspect he used way too much vodka to draw out radiation, so he shouldn't be trusted that easily. For now, we carry on with the observations...
New patch fix!
A patch fix has been installed on all servers.
Fixed the gamma controller in the game settings after changing the screen size.
Returned the "First Person" function to the game settings and the hotkey.
Disabled damage from grenade launchers in the arena.
Prohibited the installation of mines in the arena.
Fixed the description of many BP items.

New PvE Event this weekend
Stalkers! This weekend we launch a new type of PvE events. You no longer need to outlast the others to win. Everyone will be rewarded, provided they complete certain steps.
From the beginning of the day (12.01 a.m.) this Saturday, December 21, till end of day (11.59 p.m.) on Sunday, December 22, Moscow time, kill the following mutants:
Pups/Dogs- total 2000 in batches of 500 Brownies/hobgoblins- total 2000 in batches of 500 Fiends - total 800 in batches of 200 Verliokas - total 800 in batches of 200 Blyaks - total 400 in batches of 100 Basylisks - total 400 in batches of 100
You will get rewards for each batch (rations, injectors, grenades, ammo), and for the total required amount - 30 lottery tickets.
If you kill the first batch of mutants A, and then the first batch of mutants B (for example, 500 pups and 100 blyaks) - you get two identical rewards for both batches. If you are done killing all the mutants, the quest will restart. If you did not manage to kill all the mutants, just wait for the next similar event and pick up where you left off.

New Year is coming, and bringing holiday events!
What is in store for us?
Hunting for "The Magic Boxes" is a challenge that many players remember and love. We will let you know when the event starts and what the codes to the chests will be.
"Stalker Claus" - between December 25 and January 13, mysterious characters named Grandfather Frost will appear at random points of the Zone and drop small gifts.
"Winter hunting" - also between December 25 and January 13, mutants are expected to appear well outside their regular habitats.
And, of course, there will be the New Year promo code!

Amnesty for the banned
Stalkers!
The New Year update will bring to the game new methods of third-party software tracking. This means we can finally declare the long-waited-for amnesty of all players who were banned by the previous administration. After the New Year update, you can return to the game. ATTENTION! Third-party software will now be tracked much more efficiently, so do not think it will be allowed! The amnesty does not apply to fraudsters and scammers, they are not and will never be welcome here.
If you were previously banned for something other than fraudulence/scamming and are still unable to log in to the game after the New Year patch is installed - please contact Tech Support for assistance.
