Custom Keybindings

Today marks a small patch that adds Keybinding Support to the settings menu! Right now, there are some small bugs still plaguing the keybind system, but I wanted to get this out to Alpha Testers to check out. Most issues can be resolved by restarting the game after changing your keybindings!

Here are some patch notes:

<*> Keybind Menu added under settings!
<*> Ranged enemies can now sometimes sidestep while in attacking range.
<*> Enemy Code has received more cleaning and optimization. Please report any bugs that this may have caused.

    Even More Infinite Dungeon!

I am happy to announce that today's Alpha update brings some big changes to the Infinite Dungeon. Now you can dive deeper and deeper into the dungeon, facing more powerful foes and getting better loot along the way. This update also introduces boss enemies into the game, which will appear on every third floor of the Infinite Dungeon and must be slain before moving to the next floor.

Here is an example of what the mods in your dungeon could look like:

    Here are some patch notes:

    • Boss Enemies have been added to the Infinite Dungeon, appearing on every third floor.
    • You can now set what level to run the Infinite Dungeon at. The current cap is level 200 (good luck getting that high).
    • You can now continue an Infinite Dungeon run even after returning to town or exiting the game.
    • Enemies automatically gain more damage and health per floor, but the chance for magic and rare items to drop also improves with each floor. Remember that mods can be seen by pressing TAB while in the Infinite Dungeon.
    • Your Infinite Dungeon can be reset to floor 1 by either using the new reset button, dying, or returning to town from the pause menu rather than the Infinite Dungeon menu after completing the floor.
    • Enemies and looting have had some under-the-hood work that has fixed several issues and rebalanced looting to make slightly fewer but more valuable drops.

    Here Comes the Loot!

Good afternoon, and Happy Thanksgiving! Today, I have released a massive update to the Alpha version of the game! Let us dive right into what's in the patch:

    • All base items from levels 1 - 60 have been added, bringing the total base items in the game to 325! All of these items can be dropped at any rarity with an almost infinite combination of mods and values.
    • So many different parts of the game have received a balance pass that it might be shorter to list what hasn't been touched on.
    • New spell effects have been added to make several of the skills look more appealing.
    • Several major bugs have been squashed!
    • Parts of the UI have been polished.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Another Dungeon Game so far. If you aren't a part of the Alpha and want to get your hands on the game as soon as possible, please WISHLIST the game on Steam so that you can be notified when we launch. Item Requirements Added!

The latest update for Another Dungeon Game is out, introducing stat requirements for items. Equipment that you do not meet the requirements for will now be highlighted in red on the inventory screen, and the necessary stats can be found in the item description. An update for the public demo has been released as well, so everyone can try the new system out. Please report any bugs on the official Discord or through the Steam Discussion Boards.

    Have fun!

    New Loot System is Out!

The latest update for Another Dungeon Game is here for all Alpha Testers, bringing with it a much more interesting loot system! Before, the loot tables would change radically every 4 -5 levels. With the new system, new loot is introduced to the table at each level, while older loot is removed from the table at a similar pace. The current loot tables work up to level 11, with more levels coming very soon!

This update also introduces a new system for dialogue. The old ugly grey speech boxes are gone, replaced by a more stylistic speech box. More visual improvements will be coming to this system in the future.

As always, thank you for helping to test the game before we release it to the general public! I cannot wait to show the world what we've made.

    Shockwave Skill Upgrades have Arrived!

Work continues on fleshing out the Brute class. Today's patch introduces the first Skil Upgrade Tree for the class, Shockwave! Punch your way through walls of foes with this piercing wave of raw power. For Alpha Testers, the build is live now.

Also in this update is a change to the power of Skill Upgrades. Spending a point on any Skill Upgrade for a skill also grants a passive 10% damage bonus to the skill, for a total bonus of 50% at max tier. This damage increase is additive with other damage multipliers for Skill Upgrades, meaning that taking an upgrade that reduces your damage by 10% will equal a 0% change in damage.

The Paladin Passive Tree is Here!

I am happy to announce that the Paladin Passive Tree has been added as the first subclass of the Brute! Bringing a range of defensive options as well as some powerful offensive choices, the Paladin is sure to get the attention of any hero who likes blocking, retaliating, and even Smiting their enemy into a pile of ash!

The Paladin is live now on the current Alpha Build for testing. As usual, please submit any feedback or bug reports either on the Official Discord Server or on the Steam Discussion board.

    So What's Next...

So glad you asked! The plan moving forward is to begin work on the Skill Upgrades for the Brute Class. Once these are done, we will have two fully operational classes, The Wizard with two subclasses and The Brute with one. From there, work will begin on The Ranger class!

While the classes are being built, work is also being done to add new enemy types, and bosses are getting closer as well. The main thing holding back the addition of random boss fights to the game is the need for more interesting and diverse enemy skills. As we approach the release of boss enemies, expect more of these skills to appear within the game.

Thank you for all the support from both the Alpha Testers and those who have begun to follow the game on Steam! I hope to announce soon when the public will have their first chance to play a demo of the game, but in the meantime, don't forget to add the game to your Wishlist and tell your friends about Another Dungeon Game. This is a small title and won't go very far without the support of the community.
