1.6.0 - New items, new weapon quick select wheel, collectible cassettes
Hey all! We've got two pieces of news for you. First, the Ants Took My Eyeball original soundtrack is now available also on Steam! Second, the newest update for the game is out with new content as well as many fixes.
New quick select wheel
The first new feature that we'd like to showcase here is the new quick select wheel for switching between your ranged weapons, melee weapons and gadgets. The game has always had a quick select button, but we weren't happy with its design because it wasn't convenient and quick enough to allow you to switch between items mid-combat, which is how it was intended to be used in the first place. We also got a lot of feedback from you players that aligned with our opinion of that design.
The new wheel is used with the same old keys as the previous one (1, 2 and 3 on keyboards and d-pad on gamepads), but it looks and feels totally different. It's now a wheel that shows your first four items of that item type and lets you select between them by aiming towards one of them. The game speed is slowed down while the wheel is visible, but only in singleplayer mode.
Collectible cassettes
To celebrate the release of the soundtrack on Steam, we've added 21 collectible cassettes, each with a unique track from the game. They're hidden around the world in specific places and require a special secret method to get them. Once you've found a cassette, you can play its track at any cassette player, for example the one in Haymo's Hideout.
New items
We've added 9 new items, including the Guitar, which is most powerful if you hit with it on beat in sync with the music of the game. Many of the other new items' effects are also related to staying in sync with the music.
Tutorial skip option
Many of you have asked for the ability to skip the initial tutorial area of the first level. We've added this as a toggleable option that you can unlock for free at Haymo's Hideout.

Patch notes v1.5.1 - Fixes to Steam cloud sync issues
We've gotten a few reports of players losing their save progress. This was due to how the game synchronized Steam cloud saves with local saves, and the issue would occur when you switched between enabling and disabling Steam cloud. We've now changed how the game deals with Steam cloud saves and this issue should not occur anymore.
This change requires no action from you as a player. Just launch the game and play as you normally would. Unless you want to switch between local and cloud, or something goes wrong with your save file, there should be no need for you to manually manage your saves.

Fixed an issue with the game sometimes overwriting an old save with a new one when switching between Steam cloud enabled and disabled.
You now have two parallel active saves: one saved locally on your computer and one on the cloud. When cloud is enabled, it uses the cloud save and when cloud is disabled or unavailable, it uses the local save. The game will never automatically try to convert a save between the two places.
You can now view all your save files in the main menu under "Manage saves". There you can set an older save as active or copy a local save to the cloud.

Hey all. It's time for a small content update!
We've added a new optional miniboss, Fly Twins, somewhere in the world for you to find and fight. We've also added a big batch of new achievements, both easy ones as well as some very challenging ones.

1.4.0 - Save & quit, and more!
Hey all!
Being able to save, quit and continue a run was a feature that we've thought about even before launch but never really had the time to implement it properly. Now, after hearing lots of feedback from you all, we've found that this is easily one of the most requested features. Today, in update 1.4.0, it's finally here!
Save and quit
You can save and quit a run whenever you find a special altar and stand on it. You'll find them at certain places of the world, namely all shops as well as the little nook after every main boss fight. You don't have to look for them, you'll run into all of them inevitably.
Remember that the altars are the only place you can safely save and quit in! If you end the run or quit the game by any other means, you'll lose you progress of that run.
We've also utilized the save system to add another feature: If the game happens to crash mid-run, you can restore and continue the run when you start up the game again. You'll only have to start over the level you crashed in instead of starting over the entire run. Note that it is possible for the game to crash in an extraordinarily unexpected way so that even this feature won't be able to save your run, but it will work in 99% of the cases.
