Due to the massive success ._. of the game, with a top playtime of 2 players at the same time (yes, I'm one of them) I'm thinking about making Arch Drift completely over again with updated stuff, so it's more appealing to look at and people might consider buying it.
This means: completely new graphic style, smoother gameplay, less gamebreaking events and bosses with variation (!)
You might think: I'm probably the only one reading this, who in hell would buy that? First things first: I will replace the existing app on your steam cloud (because you probably wanted to free 25mb on your pc) with a completely new engine.
Details/Pros/Changes:
New visual style (vector images)
More items
Made in Gamemaker Studio 2
Achievements
More monsters
More bosses & variety in their attacks/appearance
Bosses not being direct clones of existing games (*cough* Monstro from TBoI)
No deadline (might be controversial, but now I can actually work on something that I love)
No team members (they did 1% of the work and I couldn't rely on them)
Better combat system
Better animations
Less brown
Split screen support (?)
Updates coming later, I'm having exams at the moment, but I'm quite motivated about this. The game was rushed in a year, with no clear idea what I was trying to achieve. The lack of content and how hard the game was was a letdown. I'm the one with the most playtime on this (< 1 hour) and had a hard time after this terrible release.
Also, I'm studying indie game design this year, and I've learned quite a bit. The coding of Arch Drift was messy (you should see the item engine :S).
Now I have a clear goal in mind.

Tutorial and community guide
Hey guys! It's me again!
I got a few reactions from people who complained they didn't know all the controls and how everything worked, so they basically skipped the tutorial...
If you skipped this, I wrote a guide at launch.
It can be found here.
It covers the basic controls, explanation about game mechanics, and a way to replay the tutorial...!
Yours sincerely

Cloud-saves!
Cloud saving is added, so the many years of work on your progress are being saved on the cloud! If you uninstall the game (why would you!) and reinstall it again (that's the spirit!), your progress and options will be set as you left them!
Patch 1.1

Progress saver added

Stay tuned for more!
Your progress has been recorded!
Dear player, sorry for the spam-a-ton of these announcements...
It's a good thing right?
I added progression saving, whenever you defeat an end boss, you can see wich area's you completed in case you forgot. I will add unlocks soon, but they're not that easy to implement in our already-existing engine.
Stay tuned, this is just the tip of the iceberg of improvements and updates!

IMPORTANT: The price at the moment
We were planning to reduce the price ASAP, but Steam doesn't let us change the price/give us a discount so early on, (wich I kind of get, people already bought it full price).
So if you want to give less money on it, wait until end of March. If you want to play it ASAP, buy it now! :D
That would really help us out with our school project! So don't wait to long! You're awesome!
Stay tuned!

Price halvation
Because 97% of the comments I got from our release was e-beggers crying about how high the price is, I halved the price of the game to $4.99/£3.99/€3.99. Steam is reviewing the price at the moment.
Arch Drift is out!
Thank you Steam support!
All the diseases involving the release are cured!
Arch Drift is up for sale RIGHT NOW!
Arch Drift will be available at Februari 10...!?
Due to some difficulties according a trailer, we had to move the release date.
This is against our desire but steam has the final word at least.
The game will be available at Februari 10, steam says.
Thank you for your patience, we really appreciate your excitement to play this little gem :cuphead:
Thanks in advance

Arch Drift will be available at februari 6
Hi guys! We are proud to announce our first ever game!
We are a team of 4 (work mostly done by one) students as a economics project.
Our goal was to create and sell something, or sell further, that has something to do with ICT. And because we are DA REAL GAMERZ, we took the challenge to make our own video game.
We are kinda unexperienced with programming an actual game, so the game is a bit buggy and not really complete. We only had a small year to make it and we didn't have the time to work 24/7 on it. But we will update this game and we'll add a lot of new features, we promise!
