The Legacy of a game that nearly destroyed me
I am Mike Bushell, the developer of Arena 3D. I have a love/hate relationship with my little creation. It has been an incredible first step into what life could have looked like as a game developer, but at the same time it has also given me some of my darkest days, as my obsession to succeed with Arena 3D broke apart my young family and left me as a single parent.
As a legacy to my little 3 game mode shooter, I have finally come out of Early Access and released it as a little cheap re-playable and enjoyable arcade game.
I feel like I can come back to the project after a long hiatus as I have since found love again and someone who really believes in my passion.
So, along with a new baby due in July... I feel like I can bring something new for Arena 3D in the future!

I am humbled by the positive response and the reviews so far!! However one thing that has caught my eye, is that this chap has been pumping some serious time in!!
Based on the average person sleeping for 8 hours a day, half of their time awake has been spent playing ARENA 🤣👏

I can't thank those who pledged enough for their support. It is heart warming for a single man team to have a small community behind his work and it continues to drive me forward.
I look forward to bringing you the next big update in the New Year. Steam Early access will be a great platform for perfecting the Multiplayer aspect which is my priority for now. I will continue to develop in my spare time however I must find a healthy balance with other aspects of life.

I would love to get some Community Input for ARENA and I think it would be fantastic to have the players design the Ship Liveries which can be selected in game!
Take a look at the screenshots below from the newly developed Dock section of the game where you can customise your ship and unlock new liveries as your progress through the game.
All you have to do is draw your design and send it to me via email at mike.bushell@mbsquared.co.uk and I shall pick the winning designs. The winner shall get their design put in the game, an Early Access copy of ARENA and their name in game as a Ship Constructor.
Now get your crayons out or load up Microsoft Paint and get drawing!

Tough first day on Kickstarter! But so many positives
There are nearly 100 players on the level one leaderboard and with 48 backers so far it means that nearly half of all the players have donated to the kickstarter!
Also, it seems that the developer has been beaten at his own game haha! Mike.Bushell only at P7 now!!!
