Meanwhile, we are planning to work on a new patch to improve the game. It should contain:
Gamepad compatibility is on its way: you’ll be able to play from your favorite spot in no time with the Steam Deck. We are assessing if it’s possible to make the game playable onto it
Maybe some new content for ACT3, but just a small teasing.
On a less optimistic note: in order to ensure transparency, we have to share that the 3rd act is still on hold, as we are unfortunately not generating enough revenue to support further development. Have a peek:
Since we brought the game 1 year ago, we roughly sold more than 1500 units of the games, just enough to refund the invest for the game rights
But not enough to invest and pay for the third act.
Rest assured that we still have the best at heart for Arisen. So be sure to share your interest and talk about it in your friends circle, it would help a lot! We also believe that releasing the game out of Early Access before the end of the year and porting it on mobile and / or Switch will add more revenue and give a boost to sell more copies.
On a brighter side: we are participating in the Visual Novel Fest on Steam from the 7th to the 14th of August, where you can grab our game for the first time at a huge discount : -50%!
The next months will be dedicated to the release of ARISEN in its final version. We hope with all our hearts that it will generate enough revenue to sustain the ACT3. Keep your fingers crossed, and stay tuned!
ARISEN new game update, OST release and ARISEN purchase

Here’s Ben from Homecoming Studio: You may remember me as I worked with Maratus on the marketing and producing side, from the Kickstarter to the end. Today I’m writing on the Homecoming Studio behalf: We’re happy to share that we have bought back ARISEN since the bankruptcy of Maratus! A good way to keep the game in the hands of people that worked on the production. :)
I’m sure your next question is: What will be the future for ARISEN?
So far here’s our roadmap:
This week:
- We will release a new game update! It will contains a few bugfixes that improve stability and the overall game visual experience. It’s the last patch made by the Maratus team. You will find the patch note after.
- We’re ready to publish the Original Soundtrack composed by Yann Rayon, we will send it to the Kickstarter Backers this week. By the end of the month, the soundractk will be available on other musical streaming platforms. We are also thinking about publishing it on Steam too and we would like to hear from you: do you want it here too?
- We will also take down the Prologue Version. The purpose was initially to support the Kickstarter campaigns and get a maximum of feedback from our community (you!). But as we have now the demo on our main Steam Page, we want to avoid spreading the traffic, or maintain the content there. You will continue to have access to the prologue for free by downloading the demo version on the main page.
In the next month:
Our wish is to releae one way or another the end of ARISEN in the future. That's why our current plan is to retain as much money we can from the sales. At the moment, it is insufficient to cover the development cost for the Act3. Which means the development of Act 3 is officially on hold.
We are looking for partners or deals to continue the development further and maybe release the game on other platforms than Steam. I'll keep you posted on what happens next!

Here comes a new patch full of little improvements that we hope you'll like! There is a few new features like the weather system or the rework of the save system. We expect way less problems with saves now! Also! From now if you reach the second act, you'll be able to restart from that point for your current save, keeping all you choices made in the first act! (you may try it with an existing save, but it might not take every previous choices into account so we recommend you use that with new saves)

It's a pleasure to write a new production update as it's been a while! As the end of the year is coming, we'll give you more details about the state of the game.
First, we wanted to thank you once again for your support! We received heartwarming feedback, and seeing more and more players in the game made us proud of our work. ✨
This year, a lot of things happened, bad as well as good, but we’ve succeeded in releasing ARISEN in Early Access! It’s already been 3 months since the game is available with its first act playable!
But it is not over yet! For 2022, we will do our best to add more content! Here is a list of what we’re planning to do in estimated time!
Before we start, we would like to clarify some points! At first, we planned to release Act 2 sooner. Unfortunately, we had several issues with how the translation works, so we did a complete rework of this system. By doing this way, we knew the integration process would be longer than before. Still, it’s for the better! We will hopefully get rid of French text for English players on next patches. Moreover, fixing issues shall be easier from now on.
📜 Act 2 part 1: ETA Q1 2022
Act 2 has a different narrative structure, going deeper into the relationship with the 6 characters. We plan to release it with two big content releases during the next months, during the first quarter of 2022. As we asked you, we think it’s better to release into 2 parts and give you access earlier to a smaller part of the act than waiting longer for a full big patch of content with the whole act.
In this first update we want to improve a lot the quality of life in the game in many aspects:

Twitch play with the chat extension
Night and day cycle
Better sound integration
The prologue of Act 2 and 3 characters’ quests

Here it’s our first update: the Act 1 Epilogue is now out! With this first big update, you will be able to play the full First Act of the game, from the start to the end.
Go back to your favorite playable character, take your courage in both hands, and go to the royal heir’s birthday party… It’s time to Meet the God King Mehve.
Once you’ve finished the epilogue, you may be really curious to know when the prologue of the second Act shall be released! Don’t worry, we’re working on an updated roadmap to keep you informed on the next steps.
What have we added or fixed recently?
Starting from the tarot table, you will be able to launch the Epilogue by clicking on the Mehve’s pendant and unlock the end of the Act 1. Beware, there will be no turning back so be sure to complete everything you want before clicking!
We have also set up achievements: you can now unlock 6 Steam successes in Act 1.
From now on, saves will be shared between computers with the Steam Cloud Save system.
We’ve fixed more than 25+ bugs, dead ends, relationships errors and more quality of life things, so if you want to know more please check our patch note on Steam!

In this new hotfix, with more content than the previous one, our team was able to fix some bugs that the community reported to us. We are trying a new and improved save system, with an autosave that activates before each new card choice, with the coin animation feedback.
