NEW STORY-ORIENTED MISSIONS
A holographic guide, HLN-A, offers a wide array of engaging new story-oriented missions at varying difficulty levels, as you build strength to confront Rockwell in a final battle for the ages. Completing missions earns you new map-wide bonuses and Hexagons, which you can spend for extra resources, additional Engram Points, TEK items, travel between environments, and more. Discover Explorer Notes and environmental cues along the way to learn even more about the history of the ARK saga.

EXPANSIVE WORLDS TO CONQUER
In ARK: Genesis 2, you’ll emerge from the simulation into a gargantuan starship filled with unique biomes, including beautiful elysian fields, an exotic twilight realm of highly evolved lifeforms, the depths of outer-space, and even the innards of the ever-expanding Rockwell himself. Whether it’s sentient alien plants, Rockwell’s digestive fluids, or asteroids warping in from intergalactic space travel, each biome presents unique hazards, but also opportunities to acquire new resources and creatures -- including the powerful new ‘Mutagen’ that enables you to further evolve your existing tames!

STRANGE NEW CREATURES
Throughout the vast expanses of Genesis Part 2’s world, you’ll find the brain-controlling Noglins, elegant high-tech Stryders, the cuddly mobile-nursery Maewing, and even the laser-shooting, bomb-blasting, barrel-rolling Astrodelphis starfighter -- among other fantastical new creatures and evolved R-Variants of old favorites!

You’ll need all the help you can tame, as both Genesis expansions present you with challenging new bosses and minibosses that will take all of your skills to conquer.

As you brave the many dangers of this new world, you’ll gain access to powerful new tools to aid you. Genesis Part 2: Art, Music and June 2 Delay

We’ve had our heads down as we push to get ARK: Genesis Part 2 across the finish line, and we’d like to take pause and touch base with an update for our community.

Firstly, here’s the reveal of the ARK: Genesis Part 2 Main Theme Music, and Key Art -- which contains an important message that’s further explained below:

This final chapter of the ARK: Survival Evolved story is by far the most intricate and ambitious expansion we’ve yet created! We’re so excited to share it with you and proud of the team’s immense efforts, creativity, and passion. We truly believe Genesis 2 will be something special, and a fitting story conclusion to the journey you’ve taken with us in ARK over the past 6 years, and hope our players will feel likewise!

As many of you are aware, we transitioned to a fully-remote working environment at the beginning of last year. Shifting from a collaborative in-office workflow to remote comes with unique challenges.

The massive scope of Genesis Part 2, and our personally set challenge of ending ARK 1 with a bang, was compounded by the team having to work from home all the way through the forthcoming release. We have made the decision to delay the launch by one week, until June the 2nd. Just in time for the 6th Anniversary of ARK!

This was a difficult decision for us, since we’re as eager to get Genesis 2 into your hands as you are to play it--but ultimately we feel it’s the right decision to get the new content to our players in the best way on launch day, simultaneously across Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox, and PlayStation.

We sincerely thank you for your patience and hope that when you get to play Genesis Part 2 and take the first steps to the end -- or a new beginning? -- that you will agree the wait will have been worth it!

As HLN-A would say, “Hang in there, Survivors!” -- we’re almost home.

Gone are the days of remembering to bring every arrow type for the hunt. Including a unique explosive arrow, the Federation issue TEK bow materializes any arrow instantly and uses electromagnetism to shoot them at blinding velocities.

Canoe

Small Tribes Update

As previously announced, the Small Tribes Rules have been updated and made more stringent to address some of the pain points you’ve experienced. Along with this comes the need for those sharing defenses to move those defenses or for some tribes to relocate altogether, depending on the location.

We’ve noticed there hasn’t been much progression in this area and we’re past the end date of April 23rd!

Because of this, we’ve decided to give players two more weeks as we’d much prefer not to have tribes wiped by enforcement. Let’s address a few questions that have come up from the community to make sure the cave/shared defenses rule is crystal clear. We’d like to take this time to clear up any misconceptions players may have gotten from the last post.

Sharing Center Ice Cave is against the spirit of the rules, irrespective of the fact small and large sides can theoretically be regarded as different defenses, they are quite directly benefiting from the presence of each other in that location If a tribe hasn’t relocated (or forcefully taken both sides) by the end of the two-week extension, enforcement will opt to wipe the base on the small side.
Valguero Underground entrances cannot be blocked. Images showing limits for defenses near chokes are shared below. Multiple tribes can live inside but they must not share defenses in any way. For example, a tribe in tree and a tribe on large plateau with their own unique defenses is fine. A tribe at the bottom of the tree and a tribe at the top equates to shared defenses: the defenses at the bottom must be breached to reach the tribe at the top. In this example, the tribe at the bottom would be wiped by enforcement.

Enforcement will begin to take action on these and other similar cases after the 15th of May.

These changes may just be the start, but they’ve set the stage for possible fine tuning in the months ahead.

Survivors on all platforms will be receiving a special Evolution Event perk! It will be active from Friday the 30th of April to Monday the 3rd of May. All Official Servers across each platform will be undergoing this evolutionary change which includes:
