First Major Update

Improved Asteroid Destruction and Universe expansion








  • Major overhaul of the procedurally generated fully destructible asteroids, now they render larger and destroy without hitching on lower end machines. The universe is growing, as we now have some asteroids x10 larger than the current ones, and we plan to release x20 followed by planet size...j

  • Improved Dialog Systems-how they operate, the dialog is changing based on the communities feedback, in this first episode it is helpful that the community can give feedback on how they want this episode to end in Fall of 2016, and how Episode 2 will start.

  • We are putting more focus on the controls, making sure that the player will know what to do intuitively, and also have the controls easy to learn and hard to master. The players that have mastered Flight mining control will learn zero gravity maneuvers and maximize haul returns on minerals.

  • Shawna's Dream sequence is not available, although we are looking to add a mission to have the player solve a puzzle to escape the dream. Thoughts? other Dream ideas for Episode 1?


    Our goal is we really want to make player want to buy the Full-Version of Planetary Prospectors: A.R.M. for $39.98 in Fall 2016, our Early Access Community Early Adopters can currently get the game for $19.99.

    Many, Many bug fixes, and about to fix a bug in VR thanks to those who have reported them, we are tracking the bug reports and will be award points to top reporters, for virtual and physical rewards.

Xterminators Attack! Also... Mac Support!

A number of updates have also been added to the game including the Xterminators!

Updated 10/23/2015 Xenon Gas Explosions, Upgrades, Early Inventory, Improved Radar, bug fixes and more

-implemented Xenon gas that can either be harvested for fuel or shoot with the laser to cause an explosion. Currently the explosion has too much particles and not showing up, and we are working on a solution.

-implemented early stages of the upgrade and inventory system. Upgrades is in the terminal Prison Cell, and Inventory is in the menu screen.

-added NPC to the computer screen, while they are talking.

-added more dialog trees

-increased the range of mining zone so the AI Xterminators are not so aggressive

-improved Radar to be more useful

-improvements to Xenon canisters that explode (Time Bomb)

-re-positioned the lights on the ARM

-fixed meshs and texture on other AI MRRM flying around mining

-fixed the ARM mesh and functionality

-tuned the Overheating

-tuned space debris, added to procedurally generation

-added destruction to space debris and ability to harvest

-re-positioned NPC Dialog

-fixes to Tutorial

-fixed bug with the drill

-fixed amount of debris from Asteroids

-Various Collision bugs

-Made progress on VR, although we still have issues with it working with Deferred lighting on DX11

-plus a bunch of other minor bug fixes


Remember players can press R button to report a bug with a screenshot, and we will be tracking the amount of quality bugs reported, so we can award prizes and maybe swag for the best bug hunters in Andromeda Galaxy!

Updated to Direct X 11 video card Crash FIX

Some users have been experiencing crashes because the video card wasn't updated to Direct X 11


Some laptops were reported to switch to default, using the Intel integrated video card rather than the Nvidia.

Update: Intel has now updated the drivers for the integrated video cards to support Direct X 11.

If you experience any crash or problems, please let us know.


We are about to upload a new build also with bug fixes and some features added.

Bug Fixes and Features


When player explodes. ... mineral debris get spawned there for all the collected minerals. - Mining scene now spawns the same walking pawn as the prison scene
- Walking pawn is immediately set to driving the mining suit, hidden mesh and camera effects
- Press Home key to exit vehicle (editor build only so can safely release a build with this code)
-Fixed Asteroid Debris
-Added steam name to subject (Bug report mail)
-Added missile test prefab
-modified -- Tutorial tip
-Re-scaled HOTAS again and fixed null error on hanger door sensor
- Tweaked rotation speed of flying NPC
- Fixed issue where flying NPC doesn't collect water stuff
- If the flying NPC hits its destination point before colliding with asteroid then it will pick another.
- Fixed null error when flying NPC finishes collecting minerals
-Changed raycasts in mining state to spherecasts for consistency sake.
-Fixed some lighitng issues
-Fixed collision issues one in the starting jail
-Fixed drone getting stuck in mid air while in patrol.
- Base Pirate class created; uses same FSMStates as Drone (for now)
- FSM checks the NPC reference before determining which logic to execute
-Fixed Helmet scale
-Fixed the amount and type of missing debris
- Low Fuel message now also displays percentage remaining
- Truncated fuel gain message to a whole number for visual clarity
- Swap positions of Cargo and RPM UIs
- Slightly improve mining suit UI clarity
Added the rest of the necessary stuff to MRM for flying NPC (i.e.
triggers, code, etc). Flying NPC MRM can now mine and has simple
physics to collect minerals. Modified debris script for determining
which rocks were mined already. Better determination of where to mine
yet to come.
- Removed "Remaining" from Oxygen UI
- Various visual fixes across all cockpit menus
- Added fuel and dock info to NAVS panel
-Tutorial will always play unless its switched off from menu

Unable to Start Game?

It looks like there is a Steam configuration issue with the game. We are working on it and it should be fixed soon.

In the meantime, if you can't launch the game directly from Steam you should be able to launch it directly from the game folder.

If you are not sure where it is, you can do find it by right-clicking on the game in your Steam library, selecting Properties and then Local Files and then click Browse Local Files.

The game folder will open and you can launch the game by double-clicking PlanetaryProspectorsARM.exe

This should be fixed shortly regardless and please let us know any other issues you have.
