Armies of Riddle CCG Fantasy Battle Card Game

Armies of Riddle CLASSIC

Welcome to Armies of Riddle (AoR) CLASSIC!

AoR CLASSIC is a Battle Card game which was the first game launch on steam for me and I am so very grateful to all the players who supported the game. A new edition of Armies of Riddle (AoR) will be coming out in the future (The plan is to have it released on Steam Early Access) that will feature brand new game graphics and game play.

To that end, I have changed the title of this original edition and renamed it to CLASSIC edition so as to not have players confused between the two game titles.

My eternal thanks to all players and I look forward to your support to my new titles coming out on Steam in the near future.

Chat with the Dev Days!

Hey all!

After getting some great feedback from one of the players I've considered creating something called "Chat with the Dev Days" where literally I come online in a live chat to get everyone's ideas and feedback. I'm thinking a skype chat would work best to really connect with you guys as players and get your feedback as I start working on the next update and also to let you guys know what I can do as a Dev.

As I said, my goal over time is to create an incredible game and I would love to also get the feedback of the community.

To that end I would like to get any players who have an idea or vision of this game for where it could go to please add me to Skype and join in on the conversation.

This is a SERIOUS discussion and not for flaming/wasting time/harming others or being rude. If you dont have any good helpful feedback and are not planning to get along with fellow players and developers then this is not for you.

When people deal with developers, telling a developer "The game sucks" really doesnt help ANYONE. Here is why => As a developer, I have no clue "What" the issue is. I can't even "Solve" the issue. Is the game slow? Are the graphics bad and require work? Is there a feature that isn't working correctly? Sometimes players get mad about a feature just because it's not a game that matches them. Ex. A person who loves FPS games and just tried a card game for the first time and says it sucks not because the game itself is bad, but because they like FPS games in general and are just bashing the game.

I'm looking for ACTUAL help here to make this game rock solid and amazing for those who LOVE card battle games (CCG/TCGs) and Japanese style cartoons (Think Pokemon, Dragonball Z, etc.) and even RPGs (Final Fantasy, Zelda, etc.). The vision I have for this game combines ALL three of those areas. If you can add to that, it would be amazing!

So please let us start "Chat with Dev Days" and I plan on chatting with everyone via Skype (who are serious about this), usually bi-weekly or monthly based on my schedule as I continue coding the next updates.

Please add me to skype to join in the group

and lets start chatting to create a better game!

NOTE: For those who EXPECT EVERYTHING UNDER THE SUN FOR $10:
====================================================

Please note, I'm ONE PERSON! I have a real life, real emotions and real human challenges...I NEED SLEEP like every human does, so as much as I will do my very best to try and accommodate everyone, please don't be one of those people who is unfair and just think that I have to jump up and down for you because you paid $10 and expect me to be there 24x7 on call. Please be realistic, I'm here for every one of my players but I do get the odd player here or there who drives me bonkers over a $10 purchase and expects me to be their helper 24x7 and then when I obviously can't give them that level of service they end up leaving a negative feedback. If that's gonna be you, then please just take a refund from Steam and don't bother. I love helping players out but if you wont be realistic and just treat a developer like garbage because I can't adhere to your every want and need, its just not fair and you have to realize there is also a real life human being too behind the game itself. I will definitely try my best to accommodate all my players needs but if you are expecting the world for $10, its not gonna happen, so please dont be one of those players who simply bashes a game because of that. It's not fair to me as a developer and its not fair to the game that has taken many hours and time to grow. Thank you for understanding and I look forward to serving all of my players to the best of my abilities.

Officially Launched!

Hello all, my name is Abhinav (Nav) Gupta and I'm the Lead Developer and CEO of Game Scorpion Inc.

During the days I'm a full time Professional Realtor in Toronto and the GTA in Canada. In the evenings I'm a full time Game Developer (Yeah around 16 hours in the day total between Real Estate and Video Game and Mobile App Dev).

I want to thank you all for joining me on this awesome ride through steam, my very first title to go LIVE on Steam!

That being said, I'm quite new to Steam as a developer and want to apologize about the earlier delay of the game launch. It was delayed by around 6 hours due to the fact that I thought Steam was going to auto-release things but instead I had to manually release it when I got home.

It is now up LIVE for purchase and I am here to support all my end users. It is my hope to be able to connect with all of you and start building the game out even more based on everyone's feedback and suggestions overtime.

Hopefully it can really be a game that grows with great community feedback and can one day become even more popular and even more fun to play. I still play it myself every now and again and have fun battling the computer, but am definitely trying to open things up to a PvP system. The current PvP system is not where I would like it to be. That being said I hope to create a better PvP system over time.

The engine that was used for the game is Unity 3D however I am planning to port over to a new game engine called MGE (Mobile Game Engine) powered by ShiVa 3D. That is a future step but will be a big thing going forward.

Gameplay wise I look forward to having a lot of community feedback and getting all your ideas. Hopefully I can even release DLC's, IAP's and even some other great Steam features and game features that the community loves.

Graphics wise I'm always looking to upgrade and update. I welcome any ideas or feedback from the community as I go through this process.

Story wise I really am working on that. Honestly the vision of this game was to be literally like one of those Japanese style TV shows inside of a game lol. Imagine playing a "TV Show" style storyline (if you've ever watched things like Pokemon or Yuh Gi Oh, etc.) but literally inside of a video game format. Thats the vision anyways, but literally having characters that players can evolve and grow over time in an RPG style setting and having card battles that are fun and challenging but have a balanced gameplay and structure.

I don't really believe in the whole "Pay to Win" model. Yeah its great for developers who can make a crap load of money, but it sucks for game players, and that is not a WIN-WIN. I believe in a WIN-WIN scenario, and so I want to build a game that is SKILL to Win. Not only is it challenging and fun, but I look forward to making this game a solid eSports style game where people will one day have competitions with this and hopefully holding full PvP live events here in Toronto for prizes and Live streaming on twitch and tv stations the way we see other games do it. This can only be accomplished with a SKILL to Win model where those with great skills can really achieve success.

That being said I want to also talk about the DARK SIDE of games. Listen I know that games get hacked, stolen, sold for parts, etc. You get the point, please support indie devs by purchasing your copy via steam. If you want to play on your mobile, thats fine, simply find the game currently in any mobile app store. Keep in mind however that I am NOT planning to update the mobile version any time soon as all my time and focus now will be going directly to this Steam version of the game.

So for example, if I update the Steam version to 2.0, the original game will still be the same on mobile. It may become completely unrecognizable on the Steam side from the mobile version over time, but I plan on updating the mobile version to match in the future. As I said my goal right now is to paying users here on Steam as I can get direct contact and access with my users here. Once I get enough feedback and grow the game even more, then I will look to updating the mobile versions, so consider the Steam game the OFFICIAL version of the game over time. YOU GUYS HAVE A SAY and I look forward to working with the community to take this game further :)

Thank you all for your support and please feel free to reach out.

Want to meet the developer?
GREAT! I'm in Toronto and go to a LOT of Meetup events throughout the city. Simply look out for an event in the local Toronto area that I am going to. I'd love to meet my players and say hello. I am so grateful to meet all the wonderful players who love my game and who are really appreciative of the hard work that goes into making games. I love the great support and praise many of you give me and it just allows me to keep on doing what I do to keep on making the game better and better every time. Thank you kindly for all your great feedback and I look forward to meeting and considering the ideas and feedback of all the fans of my game!
