In Development: Autocannon HE Overhaul
Commanders!
Today we’d like to tell you more about the overhaul of High Explosive shells for autocannons that’s coming in the next update.
The fact that something like this was coming was unfortunately made clear by an incorrect version of these changes that appeared on the game server along with the Seahawks Battle Path in Update 0.240. Just to be clear, the fact that some HE shells can frontally damage Main Battle Tanks is not intended behavior – quite the opposite.
This is one of the features where the goal is very easy to explain but the execution is difficult. Long story short, we sought a purpose for autocannon HE shells for a long time since they have been either rather toxic or completely useless.
The role we envisaged for these shells is therefore as follows.
HE shells will only deal full damage to unarmored or very lightly targets
Armored targets will be dealt no damage (or very limited damage)
The HE shells will deal a lot of damage to external modules such as tracks, guns and ERA/NERA elements
In other words, these shells will have a specific purpose now and we are sure you’ll put them to good use, commanders. You’ll have the opportunity to try them out very soon and, as always:
See you on the battlefield!
Offer: Tier 10 Direct Sales
Commanders!
Today we’ve prepared the following items for you (directly available, no loot crates):
Stridsvagn 2000 Tier 10 Premium Main Battle Tank
TOS-1M Buratino Tier 10 Premium Tank Destroyer
Koshmar skin for TOS-1M
Between November 25 and December 2, 2024, the following items will be available:
Stridsvagn 2000
The Stridsvagn 2000 was to be Sweden’s next Main Battle Tank, designed to combat Soviet super-tanks such as the Black Eagle. For its time, the project was nothing short of revolutionary with extremely thick frontal armor and a powerful 140mm gun that could take on literally anything in its day. However, the Soviet threat dissipated with the collapse of the Soviet Union, which pushed Sweden to seek a cheaper solution to its tank problem, namely the Leopard 2 MBT. You can learn more about it in our dedicated article.
In Armored Warfare, the Stridsvagn 2000 is a Tier 10 Premium Main Battle Tank that represents the essence of practicality. Solid armor, decent mobility and excellent damage over time output make this tank one of the most versatile tools you can have in your arsenal, equally capable in PvP and PvE. Aside from its advanced NERA armor, the Strv 2000 features a coaxial 40mm autocannon. The key to success is switching between both weapon systems and maximizing your damage output while your NERA armor eliminated one enemy shell after another.
This bundle is available in our Web Shop.
TOS-1M Buratino
The TOS-1M Buratino is a prototype version of the Russian TOS-1/TOS-1A heavy rocket launcher. It was designed in 1997 at Omsk as an improvement to the old TOS-1 whose roots go back all the way to the Afghan War. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.
In Armored Warfare, the TOS-1M Buratino is a Tier 10 Premium Tank Destroyer. As befits its massive rocket launcher installed on the top of a T-90A MBT chassis, its firepower is all but unparalleled and you are looking at perhaps the most destructive vehicle of Armored Warfare. It is available in two configurations – with fast-launching 122mm rockets and the iconic 220mm rockets that can be unlocked either by installing a skin (Koshmar), or by progressing through an active Battle Path.
This bundle is available in our Web Shop.
Koshmar Bundle
Additionally, we've prepared a skin bundle with a new skin. The skin “Koshmar” we have prepared for you is for the TOS-1M Tier 10 Premium TD. Not only is it cool looking, it also unlocks the overprogression modules for you, including the 220mm turret and the 220mm thermobaric rockets. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.
The skin is available as a part of the Koshmar Bundle, which contains the following items:
Skin: TOS-1M Koshmar
3 Platinum Loot Crates
500 Gold
This bundle is available in our Web Shop.
We hope that you will enjoy the offer and, as always:
See you on the battlefield!
Seahawks Battle Path is now available!
Commanders!
We’re happy to announce that the Seahawks Battle Path campaign has just begun.
This four-month-long and story-driven campaign is bringing back the Diary feature, telling a story of the Seahawks unit that precedes the current Black Company special operations. You can now experience the tale first-hand.
The reward vehicles this time come from Andrew Clayburn’s personal collection:
Cheonma-2 Tier 10 Premium MBT for reaching Level 20
This Battle Path is story-driven, which means the Diary feature is making a comeback. Follow the tale of the Seahawks, now available in fifty stunning entries with dedicated art, so even those who have read it before can find something new in there. And, of course, players unfamiliar with the history of the Seahawks, Kathryn Grey and Joshua Seagrove can now read it in full
The missions have once again been overhauled to match the theme of the Battle Path. There are the new Seahawk Loot crates to be won (containing, amongst other things, more high-Tier vehicles) and the final mission prize was changed to the Abrams AGDS Tier 9 Premium TD. The Battle Coin shop prices were lowered and unified across Tiers and item types.
In order to join the Battle Path campaign, please enter the game and click on the Seahawks icon on the upper bar. From there, you can simply purchase the Battle Path access:
Standard pass (access only)
Golden pass with access and 50.000 Battle Coins
The access can also be purchased in our Web Shop:
Enjoy the event and see you on the battlefield!

Offer: American Firepower
Commanders!
Today we’ve prepared the following items for you:
AbramsX Tier 10 Premium Main Battle Tank
MPF Tier 10 Premium Light Tank
Abrams AGDS Tier 9 Premium Tank Destroyer
Griffin 120mm Tier 8 Premium Light Tank
M1134 Tier 8 Premium Tank Destroyer
Treasure Trove with 10.000 Gold
Between November 21 and November 28, 2024, the following items will be available:
AbramsX
AbramsX is an advanced technology demonstrator. It was built as a private venture by General Dynamics Land Systems and unveiled in 2022 to show what the future of the Abrams MBT could look like. It is considerably lighter than a fully upgraded Abrams while retaining its protection levels and firepower thanks to its cutting edge systems. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.
In Armored Warfare, the AbramsX is a Tier 10 Premium Main Battle Tank. While still maintaining the basic Abrams line features such as a 120mm gun, it is considerably lighter and less armored. On the other hand it is also faster, more agile, stealthier, and features a 30mm autocannon that can reduce most light vehicles to a pile of scrap in seconds thanks to its new ammunition. As a result, this tank can dish out a lot of damage but requires careful and skilled gameplay.
The AbramsX Tier 10 Premium MBT is available in our Web Shop via Loot Crates. Collect 100 blueprint pieces from these crates to obtain the vehicle.
MPF Light Tank
The General Dynamics Light Tank prototype is one of the contenders in the U.S. Mobile Protected Firepower program to replace the Stryker platform in the fire support role for the U.S. Airborne forces. It is one of very few modern Light Tanks in existence. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.
In Armored Warfare, the MPF is a Tier 10 Premium Light Tank. Within its class, it’s one of the heaviest and the best protected specimen with its hull protected by NERA armor capable of absorbing damage in the initial stages of battle. With its powerful 120mm gun and decent mobility, it is a decent front-line fighter, holding its own even in the thickest of fighting.
The MPF Tier 10 Premium LT is available in our Web Shop via Loot Crates. Collect 100 blueprint pieces from these crates to obtain the vehicle.
Abrams AGDS
The Abrams AGDS (Armored Ground Defense System) was a vehicle concept and proposal, drafted in July 1996 by Dr. Asher H. Sharoni (a former colonel in the Israeli Defense Forces) and Lawrence D. Bacon from a Californian company called Western Design Howden. It was supposed to be an air-defense vehicle, protecting the Abrams formations against flying threats, although its weaponry can be deployed against ground targets as well. The United States were, at the time, sorely lacking a vehicle comparable to the Russian Shilka and one of the ideas was to use the Abrams chassis paired with a new turret to produce an armored AA gun that would be able to keep up with the American tank units. This plan was never realized and the vehicle stayed only on paper but you can play the Abrams AGDS in Armored Warfare and experience what it would have been like, had it ever been deployed.
In Armored Warfare, the Abrams AGDS is a very unique Tier 9 Premium Tank Destroyer. What makes it so special are its two large guided missile launchers capable of firing an incredibly devastating volley within seconds. The AGDS can devastate practically every opponent on the battlefield with a single salvo, making it one of the best and most effective mid-to-long range vehicles in the game. At close ranges, it can rely on excellent frontal turret protection and its two 35mm autocannons to keep enemies at bay until the missile launcher reloads to unleash another deadly swarm of missiles. The Abrams AGDS is one of the most feared vehicles in Armored Warfare!
This bundle is available in our Web Shop.
Griffin 120mm
The Armored Warfare version of the Griffin Light Tank is based on an early 2016 tech demonstrator, intended to show the U.S. military during the AUSA 2016 conference that General Dynamics meant business. It was built as a private venture; effectively a scaled-up example of General Dynamics was capable of providing when it came to highly mobile vehicles with a lot of firepower for the U.S. airborne forces. The U.S. Army was impressed and the design has since evolved into what is generally referred to as the MPF Light Tank. You can read more about this vehicle in our dedicated article.
In Armored Warfare, the Griffin 120mm is a Tier 8 Premium Light Tank and a powerful, fast machine, armed not only with its 120mm cannon, but also with special ammunition types, making it deadly at any distance. Few Tier 9 vehicles can match its sheer ferocity on the battlefield.
This bundle is available in our Web Shop.
M1134
The M1134 is an advanced missile Tank Destroyer based on the Stryker chassis, used in the U.S. Army Stryker Brigade Combat Teams to enhance the unit’s firepower against enemy armor. While only lightly protected, its main strength light in the advanced model of the BGM-71 TOW missile launcher, allowing it to knock out practically every armored target it encounters on the battlefield.
In Armored Warfare, the M1134 is a Tier 8 Tank Destroyer. Its main and only weapon is the dual-shot missile launcher. As such, the vehicle is mostly defenseless at close ranges, but can take out any enemy it encounters at long distances thanks to its powerful guided missiles. Mastering it requires patient gameplay and clever use of cover, making it more suitable for experienced players.
This bundle is available in our Web Shop.
Treasure Trove
Today, we have a special offer for you. A veritable treasure trove of 10.000 Gold awaits you at a discounted price.
Please note that this item can only be purchased once per user. You can find out more about Gold and its uses in our dedicated article.
This bundle is available in our Web Shop.
We hope that you will enjoy the offer and, as always:
See you on the battlefield!
Server Maintenance
On the 22nd of November 2024, starting from 7:00 CET, the server will not be available for 5 hours due to a planned server maintenance.
Please note that the maintenance can be extended beyond the abovementioned timeframe. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Developer Diary: Battle Path Commander Changes
Commanders!
In the Seahawks Battle Path article, we mentioned that the three commanders featured as prizes in the Seahawks Battle Path would be getting an update.
These commanders are:
Joshua Seagrove
Kathryn Grey
Fyodor Sokolov
Without further ado, here’s what we’ve done.
Joshua Seagrove is and always has been intended as a wheeled Tank Destroyer commander since his vehicle is canonically a Stryker by the name of Avenger (featured as a skin in the Battle Path prizes).
His focus should be on firepower, module destruction and camouflage. Therefore:
Joshua Seagrove’s main skill is now static (available in full state right from the initial rank) and provides 7% reload speed buff at the expense of 25% hitpoints
Two Tier 3 skills providing 3.33% bonus to rate of fire after destroying a module) got improved to 5% and moved to the corners of the field
Two Tier 3 skills providing 6.89% camouflage penalty reduction for firing a gun got improved to 8% and moved to the corners of the field
The entire vicinity of the main skill is now filled with Eagle Eye skills (increasing the ability to see through foliage)
Two Marksman skills (improving accuracy) are also above and below the main skill
Kathryn Grey is supposed to be an effective Abrams commander given her canonical lore choice of driving an M1A3 Abrams (also featured as a skin in the Battle Path).
Once again, her focus is on MBT firepower. Therefore:
Kathryn Grey’s main skill was upgraded and received a new name, Warfighter. It now scales with ranks and provides up to 8% reload time improvement as long as you drive an MBT
The not-so-useful Track and Destroy skills in lower right corner were replaced by two fields of skills providing 15% chance to deal maximum damage (30% in total)
We have removed various condition skills triggering whenever an enemy is within 50m and replaced them with hull traverse skills without this condition
In the center of the field (that was previously empty) there is a new skill providing reload time improvement as long as there are no enemies present within 50m (regardless of class)
And, finally, Fyodor Sokolov is getting a set of smaller changes. His essence remains the same – he will provide an XP bonus, making him highly suitable as a commander for new players.
However:
The top rank XP bonus is increased from 40% to 50% Replaced the Texas Duel skill (increasing accuracy) on the left side with another third rank repair skill On the left middle side, the ATGM and accuracy skills were replaced by Motivation skills (increasing crew statistics)
Please note that Maximilian König (previously a “clone” of this commander skill-wise) is not getting this overhaul and from now on will be different. As for Samuel Thorpe (who’s not connected to the Battle Path), he will receive a deeper overhaul that will be described in a separate article.
We hope that you will enjoy these changes and, as always:
