This week, we prepared a set of small missions for you with various clown-themed assets to terrify your opponents because let’s face it – clowns are scary, especially the most recent kind. And because the event’s clown-themed, we thought we’d make you play some of the worst vehicles of Armored Warfare (that we are aware of) before we buff their performance in the near future, just for kicks (so consider this mission a spoiler of sorts).
Without further ado, here’s what you can win:
Between May 15 and May 26, 2024:
Win 7 matches of any type using OT-65A to receive the Joker camouflage
Win 7 matches of any type using M1 Abrams to receive the Joker Violet base paint
Win 7 matches of any type using ERC 90 F4 to receive the Joker Green base paint
Once you complete all three of these missions, the following missions can also be completed (you can technically complete them even before the three but if you don’t complete the other three, they won’t count):
Win 7 matches of any type using LAV-300 to receive the player title “Joker”
Win 7 matches of any type using ZBL-08 to receive player avatar “Joker”
Players who complete all 5 missions will also receive 4 Battle Coin boosters.
Please note:
The prizes will be handed out after the end of the event
The mission begins on May 15 at 00:01 CEST and ends on May 26 at 22:59 CEST
We hope you’ll enjoy the event and, as always:
See you on the battlefield!

MPF Light Tank
The General Dynamics Light Tank prototype is one of the contenders in the U.S. Mobile Protected Firepower program to replace the Stryker platform in the fire support role for the U.S. Airborne forces. It is one of very few modern Light Tanks in existence. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.
In Armored Warfare, the MPF is a Tier 10 Premium Light Tank. Within its class, it’s one of the heaviest and the best protected specimen with its hull protected by NERA armor capable of absorbing damage in the initial stages of battle. With its powerful 120mm gun and decent mobility, it is a decent front-line fighter, holding its own even in the thickest of fighting.
The MPF Tier 10 Premium LT is available in our Web Shop via Loot Crates. Collect 100 blueprint pieces from these crates to obtain the vehicle.
Challenger 2 Streetfighter II
The Streetfighter II is an upgrade program to overhaul the venerable Challenger 2 Main Battle Tank for the conditions of modern battlefields, especially urban combat. It features a number of improvements and extra components, most notably a dozer blade, a Brimstone ATGM twin launcher and an advanced camera system by Elbit. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.
In Armored Warfare, the Challenger 2 Streetfighter is a Tier 10 Premium Main Battle Tank. Its main advantages include excellent frontal armor (enhanced by the presence of its dozer blade covering its lower frontal plate), increased ramming damage and long range lethality, courtesy of a powerful ATGM launcher. Whether you desire to bring the fighting up close or support other MBTs at distance, the Streetfighter’s got your back.
The Challenger 2 Streetfighter II Tier 10 Premium MBT is available in our Web Shop via Loot Crates. Collect 100 blueprint pieces from these crates to obtain the vehicle.
Bradley AAWS-H
The Bradley AAWS-H Tank Destroyer was an attempt by Loral Vought to mount four kinetic guided missiles on an extendable arm while using the Bradley IFV chassis as a platform. Kinetic missiles were cutting edge tech back in the 1980s – unlike standard ATGMs, they destroyed the target by their kinetic energy instead of a HEAT warhead, accelerating to several times the speed of sound. There was little to no defense against them, although they did have some drawbacks, which was why they were never adopted in real life. You can read more about the vehicle in our dedicated article.
In Armored Warfare, the Bradley AAWS-H is a Tier 8 Premium Tank Destroyer. It’s an ATGM-based TD, carrying special kinetic missiles that actually become more effective with increasing distance to your target. It is the embodiment of a long-range missile carrier and is perfect for players who prefer sniping to close combat.
This bundle is available in our Web Shop.
Stryker ADATS
ADATS stands for “Air Defense Anti-Tank System,” describing its purpose very well. The system is intended to engage both air and ground armored targets. It was developed in the 1980s by a Swiss company called Oerlikon-Contraves and was offered as an interesting hybrid that would be able to deal with both Soviet tanks and helicopters or attack planes. Unfortunately for it, it came too late – only Canada would actually accept it in service and the end of the Cold War meant the end to all attempts at its large-scale introduction. The ADATS missiles were quite large but, more importantly, extremely fast and were certain to be extremely destructive to any Soviet armored targets, even though this thankfully never had to be tested in real combat. The ADATS turret was offered for a wide variety of platforms and was actively installed on a vehicle that is kind of like a cousin to the Stryker, the Canadian LAV-III. In this configuration, the vehicle was called MMEV.
In Armored Warfare, Stryker ADATS is a Tier 9 Premium Tank Destroyer. It is a wheeled vehicle armed with two weapon systems – powerful long-range guided missiles and short-range unguided rockets, offering it some survivability in short range combat as well as the ability to deal tremendous damage if left to its devices.
This bundle is available in our Web Shop.
M1A1 Storm
In 1985, the Abrams was upgraded with, amongst other things, the 120mm M256 smoothbore cannon. Over 5000 M1A1 tanks were produced until 1992. This tank participated in Operation Desert Storm, which forged its legendary reputation.
In Armored Warfare, the M1A1 Storm is a Tier 7 Premium Main Battle Tank. The M1A1 Storm look was inspired by Operation Desert Storm, including a gorgeous camouflage net model. But, more importantly, this tank is equipped with a massive frontal dozer blade, adding extra armor and ramming damage to the long list of its advantages.
This bundle is available in our Web Shop.
Leclerc T40
Sometimes called the French Terminator, this vehicle was designed on the Leclerc MBT chassis with one purpose in mind – to accompany tanks and fight off infantry attacks the same way as the Russian BMPT series does. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.
In Armored Warfare, the Leclerc T40 is a Tier 9 Premium Tank Destroyer. It offers you a combination of a durable hull, rapid-fire 40mm automatic cannon and, most importantly, the Javelin missile system. Simply right-click the target, wait until it becomes locket and fire the Javelin ATGM – it will home itself on the target, attacking its weak roof armor. Thanks to this ability, the Leclerc T40 is one of the most destructive vehicles in the game.
This bundle is available in our Web Shop.
AMX-10 RCR
The AMX 10 RCR is the updated variant of the French AMX 10 RC fire support vehicle by GIAT, originally developed in the early 1980s. This light and nimble wheeled 6x6 AFV was armed with a 105mm gun, allowing it to knock out even armored targets at considerable distances. Over 200 of these aging vehicles were upgraded by Nexter in 2010 with improved armor and electronics, enabling them to fulfill modern battlefield tasks until their eventual replacement by the Jaguar. You can learn more about its history in our dedicated article!
In Armored Warfare, the AMX 10 RCR is a Tier 8 wheeled Premium Tank Destroyer. It’s incredibly agile with its wheeled chassis allowing it to outrun pretty much any enemy on the battlefield save for the fastest AFVs. Its gun accuracy is also top notch, making this vehicle perfect for sniper-style gameplay as its thin armor can’t protect it against enemy shells at close distances. This vehicle also comes with the Hydraulic Suspension active ability.
This bundle is available in our Web Shop.
Sabre
The Sabre is an interesting British recon vehicle, assembled together from older Scorpion hulls and Fox turrets after both parts were brought to zero hour state (completely overhauled) by a company called Alvis. The resulting vehicle from the early 1990s was called Sabre and, considering it was made of decades old components, it worked fairly well as a scouting vehicle, participating in the Iraq War as well as in several peacekeeping missions. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.
In Armored Warfare, the Tier 6 Sabre Premium Armored Fighting Vehicle is one of the deadliest vehicles on the battlefield thanks to its rather unique upward-aimed Swingfire missile launcher that allows it to fire over obstacles or while hidden, for example behind uneven terrain. While being quite difficult to master, this ability makes it a potent ambusher, especially in skilled hands.
This bundle is available in our Web Shop.
Challenger 1 Falcon
The Falcon is an experimental turret developed in the early 2000s in Jordan as an upgrade to the Jordanian Al-Hussein (Challenger 1) Main Battle Tanks. It's a low profile turret, armed with an automatically loaded Swiss 120mm L/50 RUAG smoothbore gun, capable of firing standard NATO ammunition. The operator controls the turret from inside the vehicle's hull, significantly improving crew protection. A prototype was built and tested, but the design was never mass-produced.
In Armored Warfare, the Challenger 1 Falcon is a Tier 8 Premium Main Battle Tank. The best word to characterize this lumbering behemoth in the game is “tough” – its excellent hull armor shrugs off most shells while the damage its low profile turret takes when it is reduced by 90% thanks to the fact the crew is not located directly in it. Despite being generally very slow and sluggish, the Challenger 1 Falcon can take tremendous punishment and is ideal for the players who prefer the British Main Battle Tank play style.
Please note: In order to use Battle Coins, you need to obtain the access to the Europe's Edge Battle Path.
This bundle is available in our Web Shop.
We hope that you will enjoy the offer and, as always:
See you on the battlefield!

We are happy to announce that the Update 0.140 is now available!
List of Update 0.140 Changes
Vehicle Fixes and Updates
With each patch we continue (and will continue) to update vehicles based on your feedback and fix them. In this update, we have the following changes for you:
Centauro 155 is now available again
Fixed an issue for multiple vehicles (but most commonly the ZTZ-20 Obsidian Blade skin) where, if the vehicle or a skin used some particle effects on it (for example Obsidian Blade’s yellow smoke), these effects would stay behind even when the vehicle was no longer spotted
AbramsX: Fixed a strange artifact below the tank’s hull
Akatsiya: Smoke and WP shells now have the same reload time as regular shells
Akatsiya: Adjusted the HEAT round to 700mm penetration (down from 750mm), 900 damage value and 200 non-penetration damage value
AS90: Destroyed model no longer clips into the ground
Boxer CRV: Shells no longer fly through enemy vehicles at short distances
CATTB: Removed the incorrect Modern Kinetic Rounds trait (vehicle’s APFSDS shells don’t behave this way)
KF41 Lynx Prototype: Fixed the broken, black textures on the vehicle
Leopard 2A6: APS launchers now have the correct color on the Leopard 2A6 HEL skin
Leopard 2A6: Antenna is no longer flying in the air on the Leopard 2A6 HEL skin
MBT-70: Gun is now properly centered in the mantlet

TR-85M1: Reload time in magazine increased from 2.5s to 3s
Type 85-IIM: Fixed the Al Bashir skin roadwheel texture
ZTZ-20: Reduced the viewrange from 365m to 340m
ZTZ-20: Reduced the camouflage value from 22 to 13 percent
ZTZ-20: Obsidian Blade skin smoke no longer appears white on low graphics settings
Russian Vehicle ERA Overhaul
Based on player feedback, we have started overhauling the Russian vehicle models and adding proper side ERA panels to where they should be. While it may not seem so, this is a very time-consuming task due to the fact the affected models need to be converted to a completely different format for us to work with them. That is why, for now, only the following vehicles are affected:
T-90
T-90A
T-72B3 and its variants
T-90A Burlak
General Changes
Gunfire sounds no longer disappear when hitting the target (the “muted sounds” issue)
Designate Target ability now works for all types of shells (previously it only worked for AP and HE shells)
Fixed another cause for the bug where players, upon acquiring a vehicle, see a different vehicle on their screen than they are supposed to get
KF51 Panther now comes with ATGMs loaded (the “where are the ATGMs” issue)
Fixed several Garage UI animation issues (various smaller bugs)
Fixed several localization issues
Added a number of future event assets
Server Maintenance
On the 7th of May 2024, starting from 8:00 CEST, the server will not be available for 5 hours due to a planned server maintenance.
Additionally, please note that due to planned network maintenance you may experience connection issues tonight between 1 AM and 5 AM CEST.
Please note that the maintenance can be extended beyond the abovementioned timeframe. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Historical Skins – Desert Ajax
Commanders!
Today’s topic will be the United Kingdom and specifically the Ajax IFV. But before we get more into the visual customization options we have prepared for you, let us (for a short whole) discuss the whole Ajax performance question. We’ll keep it brief – yes, we know it’s underperforming and yes, we will buff it (soon).
In the Europe’s Edge Battle Path we tried really hard not to release over-performing vehicles and ended up with an underperforming Ajax and a very well balanced Leopard. The Panther performance is separate topic for another time. For now, let us return to the matter at hand and discuss a skin for our buffed-to-be Ajax called Desert Ajax.
As you can probably tell from the photos alone, the Ajax in this configuration (featuring a Barracuda camouflage and a desert paintjob) appeared at an expo in the Middle East. Specifically it was the World Defense Show that took place in February 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The whole showcase was an effort to find foreign customers for the modern but very expensive IFV in a time of difficulties for the British military.
This Ajax variant seems to have been “tropicalized” with additional air-conditioning as well as a desert paintjob. The basic camouflage is a new British digital camouflage – you may already be familiar with the snow version that’s available in the Europe’s Edge Battle Path. The rest of the vehicle is covered by the Saab Barracuda MCS net.
The camouflage will also be available at the same time as a separate item.
But that’s not all. Since the spring of 2024 in Armored Warfare belongs to European assets, we thought we’d keep the theme by introducing more European camouflages for you to enjoy. For the lovers of British paintjobs, we’ll be adding the El Alamein camouflage based on the iconic M3 Grant look from the Bovington Tank Museum. It’ll come with era-appropriate decals.
There’s also the European (Desert) camouflage. The camouflage is a real-life one, based on real-life camouflage by Patria as seen during the Defence and Security Exhibition expo in London in the September of 2023.
And last but not least, the Sahara Yellow base paint is based on the yellow color was used by the French in the 1950s.
We hope you’ll enjoy all of these and, as always:
See you on the battlefield!
May Calendar
We are pleased to present our May Wallpaper, available in a number of different sizes to fit your PC's monitor!
Today, we’ve prepared the following items for you:
T-15 Kinzhal Tier 10 Premium Tank Destroyer
Namer Tier 10 Premium Tank Destroyer
Abrams AGDS Tier 9 Premium Tank Destroyer
Hunter Tier 9 Premium Armored Fighting Vehicle
BMPT Mod.2017 Tier 8 Premium Tank Destroyer
Iron Crate
Between May 2 and May 9, 2024, the following items will be available:
T-15 Kinzhal
This vehicle is a version of the T-15 heavy IFV (built on the Armata platform) but instead of the Bumerang turret featuring 30mm autocannon, it’s armed with another combat module called Kinzhal. The Kinzhal module’s main armament is long 57mm automatic cannon that can devastate even the heaviest IFVs it could meet on the battlefield. A prototype appeared in 2019 but the concept was not approved for mass production. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.
In Armored Warfare, the T-15 Kinzhal is a Tier 10 Premium Tank Destroyer. Unlike the original progression version of the T-15, it’s a vehicle that relies heavily on its autocannon. The 57mm gun is immensely powerful and can fire in three round bursts with one of the highest damage per minute outputs in the game. In addition to its outstanding firepower, the Kinzhal is heavily armored and despite its average mobility, it’s one of the most durable and versatile vehicles in Armored Warfare.
This vehicle is available via Loot Crates, which drop T-15 Kinzhal parts. Collect 100 T-15 Kinzhal parts from these Loot Crates to assemble the whole vehicle.
Namer
The Namer IFV is an Israeli heavy fighting vehicle version of the Namer platform developed in the early 2000s from the Merkava Main Battle Tank. Israel is a small country and cannot affect high infantry losses, which is why the Namer features extremely high levels of protection. The IFV variant is fitted with a Rafael turret, featuring 30mm autocannon and a Spike missile launcher. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.
In Armored Warfare, the Namer is a Tier 10 Premium Tank Destroyer. As its history suggests, it is a superheavy TD with its protection levels being amongst the highest of its class. It is slow and ponderous but its thick front can deflect even advanced shells while maintaining adequate firepower thanks to its autocannon and ATGM combination. Its MBT-like characteristics make this vehicle quite forgiving for new players, but, as they say, a jack-of-all-trades is a master of none.
The Namer Tier 10 Premium TD is available in our Web Shop via Loot Crates. Collect 100 blueprint pieces from these crates to obtain the vehicle.
Abrams AGDS
The Abrams AGDS (Armored Ground Defense System) was a vehicle concept and proposal, drafted in July 1996 by Dr. Asher H. Sharoni (a former colonel in the Israeli Defense Forces) and Lawrence D. Bacon from a Californian company called Western Design Howden. It was supposed to be an air-defense vehicle, protecting the Abrams formations against flying threats, although its weaponry can be deployed against ground targets as well. The United States were, at the time, sorely lacking a vehicle comparable to the Russian Shilka and one of the ideas was to use the Abrams chassis paired with a new turret to produce an armored AA gun that would be able to keep up with the American tank units. This plan was never realized and the vehicle stayed only on paper but you can play the Abrams AGDS in Armored Warfare and experience what it would have been like, had it ever been deployed.
In Armored Warfare, the Abrams AGDS is a very unique Tier 9 Premium Tank Destroyer. What makes it so special are its two large guided missile launchers capable of firing an incredibly devastating volley within seconds. The AGDS can devastate practically every opponent on the battlefield with a single salvo, making it one of the best and most effective mid-to-long range vehicles in the game. At close ranges, it can rely on excellent frontal turret protection and its two 35mm autocannons to keep enemies at bay until the missile launcher reloads to unleash another deadly swarm of missiles. The Abrams AGDS is one of the most feared vehicles in Armored Warfare!
This bundle is available in our Web Shop.
Hunter AFV
Another alternative name for this vehicle is NGAFV (or Next Gen AFV), since it belongs to a whole program to replace the obsolete M113 APC in Singaporean service and to operate alongside its predecessor, another indigenous Singaporean IFV called Bionix. Hunter is the name of the production model of this program. The Hunter AFV is the pinnacle of bleeding edge of technology. In this sense, it can be compared to the AS21 Redback and both vehicles share several characteristics, not the least of which being relatively large size. This bulky IFV offers considerable levels of protection and firepower. It is expected to serve in the Singaporean army in large numbers in the near future with its mass-production having recently begun. You can read more about its history in our dedicated article.
In Armored Warfare, the Hunter AFV is a Tier 9 Premium Armored Fighting Vehicle. As its description above suggests, it is a rather standard-sized IFV with good levels of protection and excellent firepower (consisting of a 30mm autocannon and a Spike ATGM launcher). It also features a recently introduced type of armor, NERA. Simply put, NERA is an ablative armor kit that deteriorates whenever it gets hit. In other words, the vehicle starts with excellent protection levels but it will lose some with damage taken as the battle progresses. Apart from that, the vehicle is adequately mobile and quite universal. It can, of course, also deploy Mechanized Infantry.
This bundle is available in our Web Shop.
BMPT Mod.2017
The BMPT Mod.2017 is one specific version of the BMPT Terminator that was deployed in 2017 in Syria for extended testing along with some other Russian prototype equipment, including the SU-57 jet fighter and the Uran-9 combat robot. It consists of a modified T-90 hull with a modernized turret from BMPT-72 installed on it. Another major difference was the presence of a new type of Explosive Reactive Armor that was made of soft fabric bags with explosive filler. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.
In Armored Warfare, the BMPT Mod. 2017 is a Tier 8 Premium Tank Destroyer and arguably the most powerful variant of the BMPT family. Like the others, it combines a tank hull with an unmanned turret, armed with two 30mm cannons as well as four missile launchers. Its thick armor and advanced ATGMs quickly made it one of the most feared vehicles of Tier 8 battlefields, a position it retains to this day.
This bundle is available in our Web Shop.

Update 0.130 Now Available
Commanders!
We are happy to announce that the Update 0.130 is now available!
List of Update 0.130 Changes
Website Transfer
In this update, we are transferring the EU website to a new infrastructure and to a new address (armoredwarfare.com). This transfer is a complex one and, despite possible precautions, may result in unforeseen issues with the portal.
The issue we known about is the one where the launcher daily bonus will not work directly after the transfer. We’ll restore it as soon as possible.
Boxer RIWP Changes
We made some changes to the Boxer RIWP configurations based on player feedback and statistics:
Hydra turret no longer fires two rockets at once, adjusted the rate of fire to compensate
TOW turret no longer fires two missiles at once, the time between launches changed to 2s
Brimstone turret time between shots increased to 4s
Starstreak turret no longer fires two missiles at once, adjusted the rate of fire to compensate
Hybrid turret no longer fires two missiles at once, the time between launches changed to 2s
Furthermore, we have fixed the bug where the dirt texture sometimes flickered when moving.
