ArtFormer offers an equal gameplay for players with upper limb disabilities. Because of this, it has specific controls. After the release of the game, we found that some gaming journalists failed to understand the unconventional method of control and its benefits. Therefore, we decided to implement an animated, clearer tutorial.
The biggest change in this update are brand new tutorials for almost every aspect of the controls of the game. New tutorial for interaction, basic movement, ladders or climbing will help to the new players with better jump-in to the magical world of ArtFormer.
Climbing is easy
Climbing a ladder can be tricky, like in the real world. In each tutorial, you will find an animated sequence with your character and keyboard and controller controls explained. Our layout is friendly for people with handicap who can control the game with one hand only.
What else?
And it is of course not the only thing in this update. We fixed and optimalised graphics for even better performance, fixed a few typos in dialogue lines etc.

Fighting through the Ages
The world we live in is governed by the relentless laws of nature. If you are not a successful hunter, you become prey. The evolution of humanity goes hand in hand with these laws, and humanity fought for survival with other creatures since the dawn of time. Then people fight for hunting grounds, raw materials, territory or domination. Life is a struggle and sometimes fighting can become meaning of life.
The basics of combat in the individual chapters of ArtFormer are similar, but with an increasingly developed society, wars are becoming more sophisticated and deadlier.
Prehistory A spear follows an ordinary branch. Its biggest advantage is the extension of the human arm with a deadly tip at the end. You will hunt for dangerous wild animals: antelopes, lions, prehistoric giant ostriches, but also inevitably enemy warriors.
Egypt Even though you are in the skin of an educated doctor, even here you cannot avoid the struggle for survival. In addition to reason and knowledge of healing you will not hesitate to correct the audacity of enemies with your fists.
Greece With the development of civilization, new weapons are emerging. In this chapter, RPG elements in the form of classic armaments are added. You will soon become acquainted with swords, which will combined with shields and metal cuirasses for the body. Armament can now be exchanged, using will wear it.
Rome The development of a character who fights his way through the cruel world of gladiatorial matches is also reflected in the growing importance of your weapons. You will fight not only by swords and spears, but also, for example, tridents. You will have a choice to swap the equipment variably and buy new weapons and armors by money.
Transportation
Every hero needs to take a break from walking and running and use any available resources to make their travel easier. Prehistory? Forget it! On the contrary, run fast, then run faster still, or you'll be trampled by an angry great-bison. In other ancient epochs however, it may just be a little easier.
In Egypt, you'll enjoy a sightseeing boat trip, amongst your experiences on the journey you'll discover a multitude of crocodiles, angry hippos and insidious obstacles. Before you reach your destination, you'll be the perfect captain of the Nile. And thou shalt ascend well into Pharaoh's chariot, and lead him through the unforgiving desert, where you will fight hordes of demons before you find your father Ra!
In the footsteps of the Greek hero Odysseus, you will again board a ship and set sail far from the shores on a voyage through the Aegean and Mediterranean Seas. Harpies, Sirens and treacherous cliffs will no doubt cause your adrenaline to spike!
You get back into the saddle of a war steed in the skin of a stable-boy, who's experiencing a deadly pursuit of thieves and paws. The pinnacle of your adventure will be a horse-drawn carriage ride in Rome's Circus Maximus itself!
All of the epochs include dynamic action mini-games, sensitively woven into the story-line for a rich gaming experience.
Ancient mini-games
Even the most delicious food becomes tiresome eventually! The best gameplay sometimes needs to change pace, or even interrupt events, so that the player isn't forced to do the same activity over and over. That's why we've placed a number of stylish and relaxing mini-games into the exciting storylines and action passages. The story won't be disrupted, the experience will only be deeper and richer. Each mini-game, by its design, is subject to a given epoch.
Prehistory Exciting and familiar token hiding. To win you must find a stone that will bring you a health bonus. In addition, we added another mini-game which you can discover while playing ArtFormer.
Egypt You're tasked with the creation of a sarcophagus for the mummy you successfully transported to the tomb. He then travels on to the grave in it.
Greece A stylish version of a jigsaw puzzle, in which you try to create none other than the legendary Trojan Horse.
Rome You're trying to create a route for water running through an Aqueduct, in a thrilling mini-game, set to the background of ancient Rome.
These are just some examples of the mini-games you will encounter in ArtFormer: Ancient Stories. You'll find even more themed mini-games as you progress!
