Revised the UI elements and spacing of Hero Cards for improved readability.
The Seal Card space has been removed from Takeover Trials where it is not utilised.
Redesigned the Hero Ability interface and animations. The order of animations during Hero Abilities have been changed to make them easier to follow.
Trial Stage
The Trial Stage interface has been revised!
A new indicator shows the number of Element Cards that can be matched.
Additional animations have been added when matching the Trial Card.

Spell Card descriptions have new icons indicating if they are played for matching Trial Cards, different Trial Cards, or any Trial Card.

Krokos - The Philosopher's Truth is out now!
To the Crown Mages,
The latest update for Astatos is here! This update includes this month’s Hero Skin, along with gameplay optimisations and bug fixes.
We’re back from our trips PAX Aus and SXSW Sydney last month. It was great seeing so many new people try out the game and we got to see some fans too! After watching people try the demo version, we have a lot of ideas for improvements to gameplay and UI— some of which are included in this update!
Additionally, while our producer was busy the rest of the team have been working on new CGs and story text for the upcoming Chapter II— with over 15k words of the story being completed this month alone!
Hero Action Menu
We’ve reworked the way players interact with Hero Cards. Upon selecting a Hero Card, a context-sensitive action menu is displayed. This menu allows you to give Energy and toggle Hero Abilities where appropriate.
The Hero Ability description has also been redesigned with better feedback on when Hero Cards can be selected. Hero Ability costs and other information have been moved to the Hero Action Menu.
After watching many players interact with the game at conventions last month, we feel this change is important to make the core mechanics of the Hero Stage intuitive to new players!
Note: With this update, it is no longer possible toggle a Hero Ability by clicking and holding. However, we have left the right-click to toggle functionality in the game as a shortcut.
