New Achievements \ Achievement Rework

Hello pups!

I'm Rod, Astrodogs programmer and one of the designers. I want to thank from the bottom of my heart all players that we've had since launch, the game has come a long way with every little update and we always love hearing your feedback.

We are happy to announce that at the end of the month we are introducing a new list of achievements to Astrodogs, bringing the amount from 15 to 35! The new achievements will be tied to completing levels with no damage and speed-running bosses.

Unfortunately, due to a big mistake I did caused by some inexperience and distractions in the backend, the previous list appears to be lost, however, if you keep your save file all your old achievements should pop once you enter the Main Menu of the game once the update (3.1) releases. This means that if you are playing the game right now, just keep you file and when the update arrives you will pop some achievements automatically.

I sincerely apologize for this mistake as it was not meant to happen, I know that getting some of them was really hard, so if you do not have a save file and do not wish to "achieve" the old 15 achievements again, please contact me in: contact@dynamicmediatriad.com and we'll figure a way out to unlock all your previously unlocked achievements.

We hope that you like the new achievement list and again I apologize for the mistake, I'll do everything I can to fix it for everyone of you.

Astrodogs 2.0 brings Voice Acting into the fray!

Ayo! As it's my first time writing here, I guess introductions are in order. I'm ZeoFox, one of the newest members of DMT, here to bring you the patch notes for Astrodogs 2.0

Without further ado, here are the major changes and additions to the game:

-Voice Acting:
All characters are now fully voiced! This will breathe new life into each of them and will allow you to enjoy the story and dialogues without missing a beat of action!

Revised Script:
In-game dialogues have been more than doubled, providing more insight into every character, the story and the Universe!

Rebalanced Stages:
Some levels (looking at you "Very Satellite") were previously off on the difficulty curve, causing a lot more Game Overs than intended. Enemy numbers and placements have been altered for a smoother experience. Which also ties into...

Better Controls:
Whether playing with Mouse & Keyboard or a Controller, adjustments have been made to ensure movement is precise, while keeping the overall feel of the ship smooth. The Mouse Sensitivity slider's range has been increased, for more precise adjustment of your desired movement speed. And speaking of the ship's feel:

Smoother Animations:
The animation of the ship's pathing has been changed, smoothing its movement while turning and playing a bit more with its rotations. Now, the ship also tilts to the side while moving horizontally.

Motion Blur:
A slight Motion Blur effect has been applied to the game, increasing the sense of speed for fast moving objects, such as bullets, missiles, and of course your own ship.

Easier unlockables:
Overall, prices at the Shop have been decreased, for a steady pace of unlocks. You still need to rack up points during stages to get everything though. Speaking of unlockables...

???:
A new type of collectible has been added to the game. You may have spotted it while watching version 2.0's trailer. They are one of two new ways to gain access to Astrodogs' true ending. Each of these collectible items will be hidden, but it'll be easy to keep track of which ones you've acquired from the Level Selection screen.

That should about cover all major features of this update. Other than that, bugfixes have been applied and some optimizations have been made to ensure the game runs steadily.

It's taken a long while, but we're all very excited to finally bring you this update, which we hope you'll enjoy playing as much as we enjoyed working on it.

On a personal note, the effort put in by the Voice Actors has done a lot to bring the game together, I hope you'll have a lot of fun listening to them!

Anniversary Update spotted!

Greetings, dearest players!
With the release of Astrodogs for the Switch being complete, we're now working on bringing the improvements over to the PC version.

We hope this gives you a chance to revisit your dear puppies!

Our anniversary patch will feature all improvements from the Switch version and more!

Astrodogs - Demo Updated

Hello everyone!

It's been a while since we've given you an update on Astrodogs!
We've been hard at work on the game and we're honestly very happy with the way it's turning out!

As a result, we're updating our Demo to hear your thoughts on how the game feels and plays now!
We've made a ton of changes, and tweaked energy economy a bit. We're always looking to improve the environments and have also made lots of progress in Audio and performance.

We have also added a new little feature to our demo: An unlockable skin!
This one is simple: Get a really high score in Hunger City and you're set!
There's going to be quite a few more skins to unlock in the main game, with different kinds of challenges to get them!

Another thing we want your feedback on:
We've added a quick tutorial that will play the first time you Boot Astrodogs! We've put it in the demo build to get your feedback on how it feels.

As a last detail, some of the game's general structure changed. We don't want to spoil too much, but we've decided to go for a more linear-type based playthrough (rather than Multiple routes) but with different Endings. This will help create, in our vision, a more focused experience that scales in difficulty and progresses its narrative in a smoother way. Will update the Steam page soon to reflect those changes in design.
