Many thanks to everyone who took the time so far to review Astrologaster. We could always use more!
Astrologaster is available now
Astrologaster now available on Steam for PC & Mac. To celebrate the release our friend Rob Manuel will be hosting a live broadcast on Steam from 1-3pm PDT/ 9-11pm GMT. We developers will be participating via the chat.
Explore Forman’s life, his work, and his relationships with his clients. Make story choices by performing astrological readings. Choose strategically or make decisions just for fun - but be aware that your choices will have consequences (and unpredictable side effects!)
13 clients come to see you 5-7 times seeking advice for personal, professional and medical problems. By examining the stars in the sky, diagnose and determine answers for your clients’ problems. As well as affecting the storyline, these choices will alter your clients’ satisfaction levels. Satisfied clients will write you letters of recommendation, and with enough of these letters you can obtain a medical licence from the University of Cambridge.
So-called “real” (licensed) doctors call Forman a quack and fraud. Help Forman prove these medical establishment elitists wrong!

Meet the patients: Emilia Lanier
This week we are introducing you to Emilia Lanier, who was an actualt client of Simon Forman, just like the previously introduced Thomas and Alice Blague.
Emilia Lanier (née Bassano) was born into a family of Italian musicians who entertain in the English Royal Court. Precociously intelligent, and, having mastered both Latin and Greek as a child, she is said to be "mature for her age" by the significantly older men who take a romantic interest in her.
Emmilia has hopes of becoming a "poetess", which reveals a failure to grasp the historical and social context in which she lives. Perhaps a man might explain it to her?
Meet the patients: Humphrey Bell
Humphrey Bell is a young male actress famous for playing female roles upon the London stage. Though a talented player, he suffers from constant pressure from his director to be prettier, thinner and younger, allegedly to satisfy the expectations of London audiences.
As Humphrey often asserts, he is not just a pretty face. He is so much more than that. When will people realize this? And will he one day be allowed to play the greatest role of all: a man?

Meet the patients: Alice Blague
Alice Blague is the wife of the Dean of Rochester. She keeps herself busy protecting the Blague family fortune from her husband and managing her extra-marital affairs with various high-ranking clergymen. After a long day, Alice likes to unwind with a flagon of wine at local alehouse, The Quiet Bear.
Will Alice succeed in rescuing her family from penury? Or will her husband’s debts drive her to desperate lengths...
Meet the patients: Thomas Blague
We are kicking off a new series called "Meet the patients" in which we are going to introduce the characters who are going to seek your advice in Astrologaster. Today we are introducing Thomas Blague.
Thomas Blague is the Dean of Rochester Cathedral. Unsatisfied with his senior position in the Church of England, Blague invests his money in risky financial schemes, which include expeditions for South American gold and Dutch flower-bulb-based currencies.
Will Blague one day make his fortune? Or will he lead his family to ruin, thus incurring the wrath of his wife Alice?
