We have a huge deal for you this Fall, Cadets! The Fall 2017 Update brings some big new features that makes Arena gameplay more fun & intense and enables automagical (as long as you have Discord installed) bickering with your friends as you operate your amazing space vessles!

FEATURES



  • Discord Integration - 21 million users can't be wrong! Install Discord and Atomic Space Command will drop you into a VOIP chat with your game automagically.
  • Commander Powers - Lebeouf and Moon Mutant X-55 now have awesome powers that operate in-game. LeBeouf's "Super Runaway" power will teleport your ship to safety and the Moon Mutant X-55's "Psychic Terror Zone" scares the bejeezus out of enemy crew nearby!
  • New Arena Victory Rules - Now, instead of Spice Points, you need merely destroy all 3 of the enemy's Spice Mines... while protecting your own! First player with zero spice mines is the loser.
  • Updated Crew Control UI - You can now see your crew on the World View, and drag-drop them onto exterior ship parts to keep the buffin' going!

The Rear Admirals have authorized a reward for playing on Saturday November 5th between 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM Pacific Standard Time. Come in and play during that time window to get your free in-game item*! We understand that some players will be streaming live as well on Twitch and YouTube, which is cool for humans.

Atomic Space Command will have a hotfix release before the event with some small items of interest, including:


  • LeBeouf update - The decorated veteran Atomic Commander is now in-game in all his muffin-topped glory!
  • Game Lobby Update - You'll find more details in the game lobby, including correct info about player names, ship names, and ping rating
  • Add AI ships to a game
  • Lots of minor fixes for stability and networking

With Atomic Space Command Release 0.9.2 "DEVIL STAR" we bring you some Halloween fun along with our first big update! You'll find scary retro-scifi space stuff mashed up with a bit of occult in the tradition of schlocky 50s horror films like Devil Girl from Mars and This Island, Earth.



FEATURES



  • New Commander: MOON MUTANT X-55. This denizen of the Devil Star
  • System 666 will serve you, Overlord, for the right price! You will find its weaponry stats... pleasing.
  • New Arena: System 666. Five equidistant planets orbit a 5-pointed singularity of terror!
  • Stay on Target: HUD targeting and UI improved for blaster turrets (circle reticle), and fixed blaster (square reticle).
  • Criticals! Blasters cause 3X damage when square-cornered crit indicators are held on target long enough - you will see the reticle corners turn red.
  • Computerized Minions! AI options added to solar systems for build speed difficulty and number of AI cutters.
  • Stay on Target Part Deux! Added targeting system keys for closest target and target cycling.
  • Hellspace! New UI Artwork including Halloween theming.
  • Have It Your Way! New Settings screen with Display Options, Audio Settings, Input Keyboard Mapping, and Keyboard Default Layout illustration.

Who is MOON MUTANT X55? You'll love this mutated, terrifying Commander... OR ELSE! Tune in Thursday 10/27 for our first game update to find out!

You can expect some Halloween goodies in the game, including a new arena, a new commander, control updates, UI updates, and lots of tuning plus terrifying bugs fixed to make the game even more HELL-a sweet.

ASC Hotfix Build 0.9.1.13

Hi All,
We've been listening to your feedback, watching playthrough streams and videos, and had a great team meeting this morning to prioritize our work for the next major release! It's gonna be sweet... more on that later this week.

There were a few urgent issues that we have addressed and are pushing a new build. Please restart Steam before playing ASC to make sure you get the latest!

BUILD NOTES
ASC Hotfix Build 0.9.1.13



  • Crew model draggable in Arena now (like they are in Hangar) to assign to a Ship Part instead of dragging via their UI icon
  • Docking is now hover over dock point for a few seconds instead of click
  • Better on-rails walkthrough of store for the first time (greying out parts so it is more obvious)
  • Adding ready Button flashing when ship is ready to go
  • Fixed Life Support 1x1 from taking up too many slots
  • Add rollover on match list items
  • Improving find match window look
  • Adding a "no games found" if there are no matches in the list
  • Created new TBDockingBehavior to handle ship docking
  • Players now hover over mount points in order to dock
  • Removed click to dock functionality
  • Limited docking to whomever is in control of the helm
  • Added a simple docking progress bar to inform the player that the ship is preparing to dock
  • Highlight ready button when ship is ready to launch
  • Disable ai opponent options (not implemented yet)
  • Added a forum button
  • Other minor bug fixes

Welcome to the Atomic Space Command Early Access Build! We are very excited to have you jump into our game and check it out - warts and all. We are just entering Beta with this build and so, while there are may things working, you WILL encounter issues. It is meant to be an Early Access title after all!

FEATURES
- Game launches and works on Steam for Windows 7,8,10, Mac and Linux
- Menu Navigation works with some exceptions (new UI partially implemented)
- Tutorial Videos
- Store - buy chassis, ship parts, crew with Silver Atomics earned at the end of Arena and Mission gameplay modes
- Premium Store - buy Golden Atomics and spend to obtain vanity premium Flair ship parts like THE FIST and many kinds of hologram trail generators
- Hangar - build 4 types of ships with dozens of parts, with friends
- Multiple players can join a ship and control external systems like helm, weapons, shields, hacktennae with assignment UA
- Blasters fire bolts that damage other ships and internal components based on hit location
- Missile Turrets fire missiles (limited ammo) that track targets and damage other ships and internal components based on hit location
- Hacking system uses Hacktennae and computers to disable enemy ship systems
- Helm uses three selectable control schemes
- Crew can be assigned to ship parts to boost them
- Crew use oxygen and can die without it, or by being damaged by enemy weapons
- Planets can be docked onto and buildings built on nodes using Ore
- Arena System - PVP arena battle with Spice Atomic victory points. Awards Silver Atomics at completion of match.
- Mission System - PVE mission zone with goals. Will eventually award Silver Atomics at completion of goals.
- Solar System Map showing positions of all arena items
- Keyboard shortcuts with remappability

KNOWN ISSUES
- Crew can't be healed
- Ship hulls can't be repaired
- When gunning it is difficult to keep targets on screen manually (use target lock!)
- On respawn there are sometimes issues like syncronization problems (other entities jitter), reticle text and symbol misplacement, and others
- Sometimes passenger camera is inset inside a planet when docking with a planet
- Networking issues and disconnects sometimes occur when players create, join, and enter arenas
- Sometimes a passenger on a ship won't see ship moving but game continues - to workaround, let passenger take and release helm
- Networking disconnects can occur that cause planets to stop spinning, victory count to stop,
- Input Subsection of the Settings Menu Scrolls Slowly

The bad news is we are pushing the release date for Early Access to October 13, 2016 - this will let us ramp up our outreach efforts for the launch more effectively, and let us get in a big ol' feature that is gonna be amazing! So, not so bad, really.
